from Harvard Law Professor Mark Ramseyer:

"Harvard is a vastly less tolerant place than it was when I arrived in 1998.

The intolerance is a function of an increasingly large fraction of our colleagues. And we – the rest of us on the Harvard faculty – let it happen.

The cancelling, the punishments, the DEI bureaucracy, the DEI statements, the endless list that we could all recite – all this happened on our watch. We saw it happen, but we did nothing. We were too busy.

We were scared to speak up. We – we on the faculty – let Harvard become what it is.

The Harvard that we have is the result of our own collective moral failure.

The alumni who are furious are not trying to turn Harvard into something we do not want.

They are trying to rescue Harvard from what we let it become.

We as a faculty failed. That is why the alumni are speaking up. That is why we formed the Council on Academic Freedom in the first place."

Billionaire Len Blavatnik has paused donations to Harvard University over its handling of President Claudine Gay's recent appearance before Congress.

Blavatnik and his family foundation have donated more than $270 million to Harvard in the past, Bloomberg News reported Thursday. He is only the latest donor to pull back in protest after Gay refused to state that calling for the genocide of Jews would infringe on Harvard's rules against bullying and harassment.

"The problem Harvard has is that all their sources of revenue are strained," David Bergeron, a retired deputy assistant secretary in the U.S. Education Department, told Bloomberg. "Their ability to raise money is clearly strained and their ability to leverage federal programs is potentially at risk."

Gay is facing pressure to resign amid antisemitism and mounting plagiarism accusations.

Bill Ackman, another billionaire investor and influential Harvard alum, is pushing for the university to fire Gay, claiming her handling of antisemitism on campus since the Oct. 7 terrorist attack by Hamas on Israel has cost the university more than a billion dollars in donations.

In a letter to Harvard's governing boards of directors posted on the social media platform X on Sunday, Ackman argued Gay "has done more damage to the reputation" of the institution than any other individual in its nearly 500-year history, going through a litany of criticisms over her leadership which he says has contributed to major donors withdrawing significant gifts that are adding up.

Looks like a battle of the wills. Is Gay stubborn and shameless enough to ride this out? Probably. They’ll have to force her out.

HOPEFULLY, this is just the beginning. Her role as president is simply to be the effect-arm of the trustees' wishes, engage with, cozy-up to & seek-out new donors and making herself available to major donors/alumni. The hammer needs to find those functionaries who put policy into effect, the Provost, various deans, and department heads.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) destroyed a tunnel network Thursday used by the “elite” leaders of Hamas in the area of Shejaiya, in Gaza City, in northern Gaza.

The underground detonation, set by the combat engineers of the Yahalom (“Diamond”) unit, set off explosions underneath several city blocks.

The IDF said in a statement:

Last night (Wednesday), the IDF exposed the terrorist infrastructure embedded in Hamas’ “Elite Quarter” in Gaza City, including a large network of strategic underground tunnels which connect hideouts, and bureaus belonging to Hamas’ senior military and political leadership. Today (Thursday), the network of tunnels was destroyed in a controlled manner.

As Breitbart News reported on Wednesday, the IDF found the tunnel network after clearing Hamas terrorists out of the area around “Palestine Square,” where terrorists and Hamas supporters had jeered Israeli hostages on their capture and release.

The tunnels extended from the homes and offices of senior Hamas leaders and their aides, and consisted of several levels, with sophisticated construction that included underground elevators and blast doors to repel potential attacks and deflect explosions.

The detonation of the tunnel network is a significant moment for the Yahalom unit, which has lost several members in Gaza. Yahalom engineers are exposed to booby-trapped tunnels and must also fight Hamas soldiers it encounters near the tunnels.

Oh, wow, this is MAGNIFICENT.

In a debate, you don't want to be taking the opposing view against Douglas Murray.

Here is- and I say this most sincerely and without the least exaggeration- one of the most dull-witted, boorish, braying jackasses in all of social media today- Cenk Uygur.

The thing I like about Douglas Murray is that when he is contemptuous, it emanates from his character so elegantly, and he eviscerates his opponents.

Glorious to watch.

The biggest factor driving this cheating bitch out is the money and the promised rescinding of more to come. This leftist haven would happily chug right along if none of the wealthy donors had not made it clear that they are walking. They should be demanding any staff supporting her knowing the facts of her plagiarism be fired as well. At this point, only a purge of these people can help Harvard recover from this, but they will only focus on Gay.

Holy fuck that was awesome!

Jordan Peterson I enjoy for his wisdom
Victor Davis Hansen I enjoy for his depth of knowledge and perspective
Douglas Murray I enjoy for his wit, his razor sharp, diamond hard shrewdness.

On Friday, the Israeli military reported progress on a variety of fronts — eliminating terrorists, seizing weapons, and even discovering a report that documented Hamas spending one million dollars on producing doors for underground tunnels in 2022 in the area of Khan Younis, in the southern Gaza Strip.

Troops from the Nahal Brigade battled Hamas terrorists dressed in civilian clothing who took up a position in a civilian apartment building; after the battle, they found bodycam footage of the terrorists setting up an improvised explosive device (IED) as part of an effort to lay booby traps for advancing Israeli troops.

Hamas continued to fire rockets at Israel from the central Gaza Strip, the last area that the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has not entered in significant numbers.

That is about to change: the IDF warned residents of Bureij, in central Gaza, to evacuate Friday.

Harvard will have no choice but to can Claudine Gay’s ass once all the money dries up because that’s apparently the only thing that really matters to them:

Would that we had such a leader.

It's refreshing to see that such men still exist in the world.
