Thanks. That's what I was looking for, I think. We were having a thanksgiving gather discussion about the article and related issues. One of the areas in the country where I've found the strongest and most pervasive racism is southern Florida, especially the Miami area. It's Cubans, and it's directed at everyone but Cubans. Go into a cuban barber shop and sit until they run out of Cubans to serve. Many don't speak English, and won't. I have friends down there from other hispanic countries, who are treated as second class by the Cubans. Not long ago I made the error of mistaking a coworker for Puerto Rican. He was Cuban. He was furious. "What you take me for, man? Fucking Perto Rican? I'm cuban, man. Don't insult me." I don't see any call for whites to apologize for racism, but for anyone who is racist, to apologize for racism. That includes the Cubans. Given that racism is the belief in the falsehood of race, those who perpetuate the mythology of race, by definition, are racist. Biologically, scientifically, it doesn't exist. There's no classification. The Salvation Army is very muc against racism, though it's hardly a core tenet. Apology is one of the four principle elements of repentence (recognize and regret, confess, apologize and make amend, and commit to not repeat). I'm not racist, though I'll freely admit that I'm biased and I do have my prejudices, and not arbitrarily. I do tire, especially lately, of the trend to make everything about color. I write, and I receive various publications (writers digest, poets and writers magazine, etc). This last year, nearly every article is about promoting writers of color, ethnic writings, yada, yada. I'm all for diversity and recognizing everyone. but it tires me and sickens me when it's all about elevating one group for the sake of them being a group, the same way that United Airlines committed to hiring 50% of their personnel as either people of color, or women...instead of hiring the best applicants for the job. If a CEO is a person of color or a woman, I have no problem whatsoever with it, but let them be there because they're the best at what they do. Not because they're a person of color or a woman, or any other reason that's not actually a qualification for the job. I'm happy to read the writing of anyone, regardless of creed, color, or other metric, but only if their writing is good. Not because of their creed, color, or other metric. If they're not good, I've no intention to apologize for not reading their work.

Agreed. I've more than reached saturation point, and I'm beyond done having this incessant radical Progressive Marxist racist ideology pushed into virtually every variant of a news story...COVID is racist, global warming is racist, every skin color but blacks are racist... If the racist race peddlers in institutions, organizations, and corporations were hoping to influence my support for their agenda by saturating me in their propaganda echo chamber, it has had the opposite effect. I'm not open to hearing any of their ridiculous contrived pseudo-intellectual psychobabble justifications for their own racist beliefs... done What do you write? Any publications or pieces publicly available?

Well, that didn't take long. They really shot themselves in the foot. Yup. Instead of seeing people not by the color of their skin but by the content of their character, these woke assholes had to go and fuck it up with their nonsense. And now, after significant backlash (i.e., losing a lot of cash), the "Guide" is withdrawn for further review and clarifications. What a joke. These jerks behave just like the maggot politicians, "Which way is the wind blowing, y'all?" Q

In the late 1960s I spent a few years working for International Tel & Tel in the San Juan PR area. We had engineers on the project from all over the place -- France, England, Ireland, Northern Ireland, U.S. of course, and one guy from Cuba. The project ended and many of us were transferred from Puerto Rico to an IT&T location in the Chicago area. When we first arrived there, we were housed in a motel while we were looking for homes, and those of us at the motel usually had breakfast together before going in to work. One morning, the waitress brought a couple of carafes of coffee to the table and as the Cuban guy picked one up to pour his cup, the waitress told him that he had to release the pouring spout with a little thumb trigger. The Cuban guy stared at her, and said "I'm not Puerto Rican!" הרחפת שלי מלאה בצלופחים

Why don’t you fix your little problem and light this candle |
I still say they do great work. I have benefitted from it. They have the lowest overhead and spend the most helping others. Yes they f'd this up. It has hurt them. The tops that did this don't make 200 million. I will still put money in the red kettle. I will say Merry Christmas as I do so. I am sick of this woke shit, and I am sick of trying to keep track of every company that has made a mistake. Salvation army is still my favorite charity because of what they do and thst won't change because of some dumbass think tank thst created a woke talking points flyer. This business will get out of control. It will get out of control and we'll be lucky to live through it. -Rear Admiral (Lower Half) Joshua Painter Played by Senator Fred Thompson

I know continuing to support them is not popular. And thst is your choice. But 90 cents of everydollar they are losing is NOT feeding or sheltering someone. This is not money that is being pulled back from Jeff Bezos. This is money taken from shelters and food kitchens etc. I love the salvation army so I will not celebrate that this woke shit has hurt them. This business will get out of control. It will get out of control and we'll be lucky to live through it. -Rear Admiral (Lower Half) Joshua Painter Played by Senator Fred Thompson

probably a good thing I don't have a cut |
All they have to do is explain to me how I am racist and have me believe it. Because they think I'm racist. Period.
|
Why don’t you fix your little problem and light this candle |
Period. really? Can we not see what is going on? Step 1. Harass a company until they create some form of pro BLM/CRT shit statement Step 2, make sure the conservatives know about it and they will take it from there. Step 3. When / if they withdraw the BLM/CRT shit statement then our people will do the work from there. Why cant we see this? APA recently released a statement apologizing. Company after company is being targeted and this 3 step system is being applied. Who is the worse group? Them or Us? Because when we take money from shelters, food kitchens, etc. I dont really feel that comfortable in my righteousness. But seriously, does anyone ACTUALLY believe this is the ACTUAL belief of ANY company that puts out one of these statements? Can we not just call it bullshit? Look at what happened to Mumford and Sons. Step 1. attack non-woke member who tweeted support for a book the left doesnt approve of. Step 2. He apologize for tweet. Now the other side attacks him with as much hate as the first group. Step 3. when he protested he hates both sides. They kicked him out. hooray!! the world wins another one. I am so sick of this. This business will get out of control. It will get out of control and we'll be lucky to live through it. -Rear Admiral (Lower Half) Joshua Painter Played by Senator Fred Thompson

Bolt Thrower |
It’s long past time for companies to grow a dick and keep this nonsense out. Why is a charity organization spending money to tell its white volunteers they are racist? Why are they spending money or time on anything other than their direct mission? This is why I no longer give to these large organizations. They become identical to for profit corporations.

Nullus Anxietas |
Easy, redstone: At Step 1 tell the harassers to fuck straight off. Problem solved. Instead, the Salvation Army caved and promoted their leftist agenda. And you want to blame us for "reacting badly?" Right. You go ahead and keep supporting the Salvation Army. They saw their last donation from me last Christmas. "America is at that awkward stage. .95 of every dollar goes to feed and help. This is not greedy corporation. Yes they messed up. But you are only hurting those that need help. So yeah, I am pissed, and them, the woke left and the woke right. This business will get out of control.
