School board elections are crucial. They used to be the only defense against a militant teachers union, now they're worse than the unionized indoctrinators.

The fight for our children has been raging.

The liberals have infected these institutions from the top all the way down, and parents and local citizens MUST be ACTIVE in these forums. The stakes are getting higher now with the FBI being used as terror tools against the citizens.

We must fight at every level. Fight to the extent NECESSARY to accomplish the mission.

mbinky posted the key. This isn't about violence.

The National School Boards Association asked for federal assistance. "Likening the vitriol to a form of domestic terrorism"

vitriol - bitterly harsh or caustic language

There is the link to the feds. Domestic Terrorism

Exactly. Non-compliance with socialism is branded as domestic terrorism. Parents and concerned citizens who stand against forced indoctrination and child abuse are branded as terrorists.

You cannot simply do nothing. This will not go away.

My biggest surprise over the past couple of years is how naive people are about what is happening.
The longer it takes to wake people up, the further the can gets kicked down the road and closer they come to achieving their goals.

Good response letter from AG of Missouri

https://twitter.com/Eric_Schmi.../1445489456199335943

"Joe Biden is weaponizing his DOJ and using the FBI to pursue parents advocating for their kids at school board meetings. It’s meant to quell dissent and intimidate. It’s dangerous and they have no jurisdiction."

I would however confine myself to prepared written remarks and be *very* careful that anything I said could not be construed as a threat unless it was a clear statement that I would provide both financial and boots on ground campaign support to anyone working to unseat or recall them and replace this CRT retardation with something sane. If I were really concerned, I’d get a lawyer friend to review the remarks first.

Now they just need to do the same against the left wingers doing the same for years and stop treating them with kid gloves.

I also agree that keeping Garland off the Supreme Court was dodging a real left wing bullet. The guy's too biased to be a local traffic court judge.

I do have a problem with the first point. They have no jurisdiction. It is a state matter. They should [bleep] off and stay in their own lane.

Don’t even agree on the second point. We need a smaller federal government that minds its own business. Just stay out of the way way and let states do their own thing. The lefty cesspools (including the state I live in) can descend into anarchy which can be its own reward. The more rational states can crush the miscreants. The Fumbling Bumbling Idiots can stay in the Hoover building and play dress up.

Definitely agree with the third point.

Bama, I invite you to change it back to what you had originally, and woe unto any member who says the first word about it.

I guess we haven't been assailed enough for some of you. I'm not going to tolerate bullying a member over their choice of words in a subject line. If any such thing needs to be addressed, I will do it.

I appreciate that, I really don't remember exactly what it was, something like:

US Attorney General directs FBI to begin attacking parents who protest teaching critical race theory at school board meetings

I'd really just like for one of the ones who had such a problem with this statement to explain why. The FBI has no jurisdiction over whether Joe Bob goes to his local school board meeting in East Outtathere, OK to yell at Patty Sue. They have local deputies or law enforcement attend those meetings, there is no federal law for the FBI to be involved at all.

How is this anything but an attack on the free speech rights of parents?

CTH points out something that might be significant, but I am not sure.

Attorney General Merrick Garland’s daughter is Rebecca Garland
She married Xan Tanner

Xan Tanner is the co-founder of an education service company called Panorama Education

Panorama Education is a social learning resource material provider for schools and teachers.

From the company website:

"School systems turn to our suite of tools to ensure that every child gets the support they need, including school climate and social-emotional learning surveys, tiered intervention planning, and professional development."

whatever the hell that means

"The Panorama platform helps educators improve outcomes for students and advance equity in our schools."

"We're a remote team of engineers, educators, and designers on a mission to radically improve education for every student."

"radically" may be the key word

I don't doubt that some looney somewhere has made death threats against a school board, but the AG's response is disproportionate evan if that is the case. More grist for the American Pravda to describe people voicing their opinions as domestic terrorists. Meanwhile where is the AG in Chicago and others crime centers where real domestic terrorists are running around shooting up neighborhoods willy-nilly?

School board, at least here is a sham. No one can remember the last time someone, not endorsed by the teachers union has won. There are teachers and a principal on the board. (conflict of interest much?) My nephew ran last time around, a conservative LEO. They slandered him on social media with lies and accusations. (a racist and a nazi lmao)

I didn't see the original thread title, but if what you wrote above is what you had, I would think only the left would take issue with it. You wrote what we all know Garland is actually doing. I would never claim the left to be "smart" but they're smart enough to not use your phrasing. Merely protesting, even with great vigor, is protected 1A. Personal threats aren't.

LTR sent to National School Board Association

https://defendinged.org/press-...in-response-to-nsba/

On behalf of our 427,000 members, the undersigned organizations write in response to your September 29th letter to President Biden requesting “federal assistance to stop threats and acts of violence” against school board members, school officials, and teachers.

Your letter to President Biden is a thinly veiled threat, intended to intimidate into silence and
submission the very constituents that your members ostensibly represent.

Citizens are angry that school boards and school officials around the country are restricting access to
public meetings, limiting public comment, and in some cases conducting business via text messages in
violation of state open meetings laws. They are angry that schools are charging them thousands of
dollars in public records requests to view curriculum and training materials that impact their children
and that should be open to the public by default.

They are angry that pandemic-related learning losses have compounded the already-low reading, writing, and math proficiency rates in America’s schools.
They are angry that rather than focusing on declining student achievement ,
large numbers of districts have chosen to fund, often with hundreds of thousands of dollars in taxpayer money, “social justice” and “diversity, equity, and inclusion” programs with finite resources.

Your members refuse to listen to these concerns – and your association has chosen to smear their
constituents rather than engage with them in good faith. It is appalling that you would choose to
threaten your fellow Americans for having the courage to hold you accountable for your failures.
We will not be bullied. We will not have our speech chilled. We have a constitutional right to petition
our elected officials, and we will continue to do so.
