Jay - sorry I sent the care-package to the wrong address! I get a "zero" under failure to follow simple instructions.

Tonight I am go to an Ashton event. They will have deals on La Aroma de Cuba, San Cristobal and all Ashton lines.

I am not a huge Ashton fan, but I do like the ESG...unfortunately they are really pricy to buy in bulk. We'll see what the deals are.

At the big Cigar party last year neither the Ashton guys or the Fuentes guys were offering discounts. They were the only 2 tables that didn't have stacks of boxes next to them. Instead they had sampler bags for 100$ with either 4 or 5 sticks depending on what you wanted. I was giving the Fuentes guy a hard time cause he never heard of the Kitty Juice cigar. So I pulled it up on my phone and showed him and I also let him know I could go inside the cigar store and get those same 5 cigars for 72$.

Good luck getting a deal from Ashton. They do have some damn good smokes.

WOW!!!

As a locker member I got 25% off a box of VSG's and chips for a Casino night type event. The dice kept rolling doubles and when it was over I landed with the three sample packs you see and the cutter!!!

Crap, I never win anything, so very pleased tonight!

Incredible luck!! Maybe it's time for a lottery ticket. Looks like some very, very nice sample packs.

Nice!

So today was my father's first day of retirement (he worked as an engineer for Gulfstream Aerospace for 34 years)... I picked up three of the L’ATELIER Côte d’Or La Tâche to celebrate with my older brother, father and I.

They were pretty good, but fairly one dimensional. I would say it was a solid medium cigar, but I had better $17 cigars for sure. Leather was the most prominent note with some toast or bready notes developing in the finish during the final third.

I have 2 Ashton VSGs that I bought in 2009 or 2010 in anticipation of this day, but I didn't have a third for my brother so we smoked the Côte d’Or La Tâche instead. Dad and I will smoke the VSGs later on.

Nice catch, Ronin.

Smoking a Comacho Tripple Maduro tonight. It, too dark on the front porch with the rain to get a good pic, and I already removed the billboard of a band anyway :-)

Very nice score Ronin! That's a shame about the La Tache, the other vitola is such a great smoke I figured the Robusto size would have more flavor to it. Maybe they need some age, I ordered a box of them.

Kenpoist those Camacho Triple Maduros are beasts.

I smoked one a while ago and it spun me up.

And for imfo, when in Honolulu go to Tobacco of Hawaii. 512 Atkinson Dr.

Great selection, but prices are what you would expect in HI.

I could tell the triple Maduro was right on the edge of too much caffeine. They taste so chocolate/cocoa y though. Very good!

Thought you guys might get a kick out of this. Got a couple new sticks in from CI (some more of those media noches I liked), and had to do a little rearranging to make some room on the top of the humidor.

It sits right next to this little terrors cage. She was interested in what I was doing. I turned around to unpack the new sticks, heard a small flap of wings, and turned around just in time to watch her select a Rocky Patel from the top shelf and start to scurry away with it.

Just a single bite mark in damage... Guess I'll have an afternoon break now:

So there I was, sitting at my computer when I hear an explosion from outside. I look out the window and see that someone had placed a bomb in my mailbox and blew it up!

Thank you Furlough, but understand that I've been known to respond to such things with Nukes!

Very grateful...

Did you win on that lottery ticket, Ronin?

I'm sitting out as a storm just hit smoking an Oliva V nub aging for about a year.
