RE: potential court-packing Hypothetically, is it within the Judicial branch's authority to refuse to seat extras thrust on them by the Legislative branch? If they did so, asserting Judicial independence from Legislative branch as the rationale, what would the Constitution say were the penalties? The only thing I know of that can remove a Justice is impeachment, which would take 2/3 of the Senate. | |||
