The Merrick Garland thing was not a “precedent”. It was McConnell saying effectively “You know we’re going to vote this down, why embarrass the judge?”

It doesn't matter what the Senate does, have hearings or not, vote up or down or not, Trump could nominate a Lesbian, Bi-sexual, cis-gendered Half Black, Half Hispanic dwarf female disabled veteran with 10 adopted children from war ravaged countries, with COVID and they'd bitch...

Fuck um, nominate her, provide the vetting to everyone, call for a week or two of hearings and vote her in.

Say what you will about Mitch, but one thing is certain. He has been, and still is, instrumental in helping President Trump pushing the courts to the RIGHT. Give the man credit.

When McConnell pushes the next Trump appointed USSC justice through the confirmation process (circus) he can have all the credit he wants. It will be deserved.

IMO, Mitch McConnell has been the most important Republican in Trump's 1st term. He has gotten hundreds of judges thru the process, batting 1000. I would absolutely shake his hand.

This has been and frankly always will be about the courts.

I am one of the folks that never wished RBG ill will and do see her as a historical figure(whether I agree with he put politics or not). though I wished her retirement.

That said FILL THAT VACANCY NOW!!! This has always been about the courts and I am frankly amazed the left was a bit blindsided by this.

A President at best is 8 years. A judge is for life.

A great many folks held their nose to vote for Trump for no other reason then Judges and in this regard he has not disappointed. A great many folks are Kicking themselves for not voting for the See You On Next T......errrr Hillary when they suddenly realized it’s about the judiciary.

Come on Amy Coney Barret.

I have always joked when asked what would you buy if you won a MEGA MILLIONS type jackpot that I would buy a Senator or a Judge. Smile

^^^ Excellent. I was pleased to read in that letter the mention of the treatment of Kavanaugh (and the others but particularly Kavanaugh) because we all remember how pissed Lindsey was over that, and I was worried that he had softened or forgotten. It appears not. So I say again, excellent.
