Good article.

Their Rantings Betray Them

By flaring up like aroused peacocks over replacing Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, the Democrats are committing the tactical error of being drawn into battle on ground less favorable than that which they already occupy.

And now the Dems are starting to push the notion of term limits for SCOTUS justices? HA!

Ever notice when things aren't going their way, they want to change or eliminate things? The Electoral College, the filibuster, term limits on SC justices.

They are very predictable Roll Eyes

I’m in favor of Term Limits: SCOTUS—10 years; Senate—12 years (2 terms); House of Rep—6 years (3terms).

I think you are way too short with the SCOTUS.
One of the intentions of having the SCOTUS is long term stability. Too short of terms may counteract that goal.

Now, if they were to somehow apply a senility test, that I might agree with using.

The purpose of lifetime appointments was so judges wouldn’t have to campaign and thus bias their rendered decisions. I am very in favor of senility tests as individuals are living much longer than when this country was established and dementia within the general pop’n reflects a similarly higher percentage.
I know many 60 year olds who can mentally outpace ladies and gentlemen half their age. If an age limit were imposed, 72 is more like it.

I used to be but am no longer. You think the unelected deep state is bad now? Just wait until we have term limits.

And consider this, Trump can still entice the Florida, Cuban vote (if that really is something that is affected by these things) by leaving Lagoa a possibility of being picked during Trump's 2nd term. I can imagine Trump, being the savvy chess player that he is, hinting at this during a future rally in Florida.

Yep. With a little more time on the federal bench, she will be that much better of a choice during Trump's second term. And, it's likely that Trump will be putting at least one more Justice on the Court during that time (Breyer just turned 82 last month).

The unelected bureaucracy that runs DC. Here's a fact. Lawmakers don't even write their own bills anymore. They are prepackaged monstrosities written by lobbyists and bureaucrats. "Lawmakers" simply vote on them.
