Hate to break it to them but she and her daughter have no say in the matter. Apparently the Left now believes that retired or deceased SC justices get to name their own replacement. Um, no.

I forgot nothing. If you trust Roberts, that's fine. I don't trust the man on any level given the BS he's pulled over the last hand full of years.

Relevant and worth the watch. Mitch McConnell seems to be the man we need right where he is at!

Yes, we don't need "centrists", they go left at the most inopportune times. We need a rock-ribbed conservative.

Yeah, we need someone like Ted Nugent at this point, and maybe in ten years he won't turn into someone like that douchebag Roberts at the rate conservative judges are going.

Regarding whether or not a confirmation should be attemped now, there are 2 (2) significant differences between the situation now and what existed when Garland was nominated:

1. (and this is what McConnell has mentioned) when Garland was nominated there was a Domocrat President and a Republican Senate.

2. (and) when Garland was nominated, the President was not able to be re-elected (Obama was at the end of his 2nd term); that is not the situation this time--it is entirely possible that President Trump can (and will, I think) be re-elected.

Ruth Bader Ginsburg was confirmed 42 days after she was nominated by President Bill Clinton.

Let’s keep this in mind when the Left starts talking about rushing through the confirmation.

“We’re in a situation where we have put together, and you guys did it for our administration…President Obama’s administration before this. We have put together, I think, the most extensive and inclusive voter fraud organization in the history of American politics,”

What we need is united Senate. not much breathing room. 3 defections and we're in trouble.

I don’t think you understand what I’m saying. You wrote that there would be a 4-4 split, assuming Roberts DIDN’T stab us in the back. (Your words).

We have 4 solid, conservative judges. Only IF Roberts stabs us in the back, is it 4-4.

I assume nothing about Roberts, but your statement was incorrect under your assumptions.

Susan Collins was great, admirable, in the Kavanaugh hearings.
How nobler still were she to announce her support for any candidate the President nominates, and plan her retirement to the Maine sea coast. Quel beau geste! And she might even win after that, and go down in history.

That’s 1-2 more seats in the next term so an appointment to the center of RBG and improved re-election chances moves the court further than a right of center appointment and an angry electorate.

Or people are so polarized that none of this will matter to the election and he should swing for the fences. Seems equally likely.

Garland definitely wouldn't be my first pick for an Associate Justice, but I concur with every point above.

I also think another point is Trump and Republicans can state given the times we are in, they believe its in best interest to fill this seat for in advance of the election or as soon after as possible to ensure its a full court should they be needed for the election

This is a joke right? This is an opportunity to screw the left over for another decade and you want to waste it appointing some left wing judge? Yeah, no thanks.
