I thought so, too! But I can't take credit for the idea - the shop had a photo of an AR-15 SBR they'd done like that, and I said "ME TOO! ME TOO!" Smile

All the NFA says is "must be engraved, casted, stamped (impressing) or otherwise conspicuously placed or caused to be engraved, cast, stamped (impressed) or placed to a minimum depth of .003 inch and in a print size of the Serial number shall be no smaller than 1/16 inch"

I agree that it's not "too conspicuous," but I suppose it boils down to whether it qualifies as "conspicuous" enough. Smile

Ordered my Telescoping Stock today and was told to expect to see it by the end of December. I'm happy!
Beats the hell out of the last one on eBay that went for right at $1400.

Got the weapon home, and notice that each time I charge it, the forward trigger pin walks. Literally charging the gun ONCE will make it move bit by bit. This combined with the odd looking machine marks on the lower is pretty ridiculous. I sent photos in and they say the marks are "within spec" Roll Eyes but would take a look at the trigger pin. The right side edge is straight. I wasn't going to post this but them shrugging off the poor machining is pretty sad. My $40 Anderson lowers don't have stuff like that. Never thought I would have to treat Sig's like WASR AK's when purchasing them. What a cluster. It's on me, I put way too much faith in Sig and I swear I will never get bitten again by their poor QC.

That sucks ass. Frown

Sorry to see it, let us know if they make it right.

Feeling like a kid on Christmas.

Now the question is... Do I chop down the barrel or wait for them to release the shorter barrels? Plan to add an Octane 45 HD to the setup once the stamp comes back which should be in a few weeks.

I shot one of these (semi auto MPX) at my LGS the other day and would really like to own one with the intention of SBRing it at some point. But until they settle down on the douchebaggery about the magazines and the stocks, I just won't. And yes, I know they will remain solvent without my business.

Congratulations. Mind if I ask when your order date was? Just wondering how far back in line I am. Thanks

He ordered on May 15th. I had asked the same thing then just went and looked at his other post. Guess I've got a ways to go. Lol

That's where I had mine done also. The guy who did the engraving suggested it. He's done a lot that way.

Life is good! Not only did my MPX stock ship (should be here Thursday), but I got the email today that my 9mm Octane suppressor is ready for pickup.

This is gonna be a great weekend. Smile

I'll post pics. Smile

Looks like the keymod versions of the MPX pistol and carbine are hitting wholesalers.

I'm envious. Not only has my stock not shipped but yesterday I got an email saying my Form 1 was disapproved. I was traveling so couldn't call but I did go online to see if I could figure out what the issue is. There is a new entry called Disapproved but I don't see where the reason is found. Jeez...

Did you include "Multi" in the descriptions?

ATF disapproved my last form for including Multi.

I didn't but I'm sure I screwed something else up. We'll see...hopefully I can fix it and get back in the cue. I submitted the Form 1 in early July.

I suppose it's too much to hope for that Magpul will get in on this and make magazines that aren't ridiculously overpriced. I'll be Sig wouldn't allow it, but I can hope.

You may be waiting awhile. How long did it take for them to get into the Glock game?

Is there a way to determine gen 1 vs gen 2 by model number?

I was just about to settle on a gen 1, but would now like to ensure I pick up a gen 2.

ETA: Also, someone who gets their hands on these, can you measure the inside diameter of the handguard. Just want to ensure a subgun suppressor will still fit in there.

Since the new-style hand guard still needs to line up with the original guns, I doubt there's any difference except for the keymod. But I haven't hand one of these in my hands yet, so I can't be 100% certain.
