It's the end of October. I thought SIG said they were going to start shipping MPX Gen 2 end of October?
Any news when Gen 2 will ship to commercial FFLs?

Apples and oranges Rhino, apples and oranges.

You could have saved even more and gone with a Keltec Sub 2K Wink
Sure, a fielded weapon system vs. one in a beta test phase then.

Big Grin

Back to topic, supply and demand is driving the MPX stock market, the same as it's driving the CZ Scorpion stock market - demand is WAY outstripping supply, hence prices are high. Once demand catches up, we'll see the prices change.

Too bad the MPX-K still hasn't been released, I'd really like that A LOT.

^ It's a proprietary SIG design--direct to keymod.

I suspect SIG will release it with the MPXK.

They're very useful once the aluminum handguards heat up with mag-dump after mag-dump on full auto.

Do you have any updates on when the MPX-K is expected? Last I recall was Q4 2015, but that that was a while ago.

Out of curiosity, what is the serial # range of your gun? I saw one recently that was in the upper 10K range, I assume its fairly recent?

Have a series of questions in to them, that's one of them. Will let you know what I hear back.

I am one of "those guys" with a deposit down for the first MPX-K to hit our shelves.

I visited SIG SAUER in Exeter, NH two days ago as I was on a BOS layover. They are 1 hour North of Boston.

The reps in the pro shop say they are pushing hard to release the K model by the end of this year or 1Q 2016.
LE orders will get filled first. The civilian release is anticipated by 2Q 2016.

Whats the story about Sig switching from shipping these guns in a hard case to a cardboard box? The one my LGS just got in has the cardboard.

My September 23 build came in a SIG MPX marked CARDBOARD box, albiet with their new ambidextrous charging handle. No more plastic case or cleaning kit. This was an early marketing experiment that has changed course. Included now, is one 30rd magazine, a sling, literature, and the lovely Chinese made cable lock.

The gun sights are not zeroed-in, they are just attached to the Picatinny rail. A low cost Chinese made AR-type sight tool would have been a handy item for SIG to include for the customer. Penny wise. Although the tip of a 5.56mm bullet works in the field to press down the detent and rotate the elevation post. It's the same iron sight system that is used on the AR-15 platforms. Be prepared with a sight tool, a .223 bullet, or a jewler's screwdriver handy on your first trip to the range to adjust your point of impact.

Came up with this idea today non folding but once welded will be cheap enough until the factory item becomes more available

Factory folding stocks are showing in stock and available on the Sig Store website. Three bills is a bit pricey for me. I will be waiting for the telescoping stock.

Thanks for the heads up, I've seen scalpers wanting double that for the folders and people have been paying it.

I think some MPX users prefer the longer LOP with the MCX stock.

The telescoping stocks are the same price (300) now. Not that they are available though. I WILL get an MPX eventually, come on K model.

I read over on AR-15 that supposedly a "revised" charging handle has been sent to those who call that has a bevel in the bottom. I think it is different from the ambi one.
