Slow Joe isn’t going anywhere, the cure is worse than the disease. The leftists propaganda machine will spin this to the sheep as the best that could’ve been done and will paint him as courageous and determined. Any body who hasn’t drank the left cool aid, had 25 booster vaccines or an IQ above 70 will still know, despite spin what an abysmal failure and fraud he is.

What you'fre saying is the Biden administration planned to destroy itself. This debacle reflects badly upon all people involved with this botched withdrawal, not just Joe Biden. That includes Harris. To say that they planned all of this just the way it's turning out makes no sense.

I think it was planned but is turning out completely differently than those incompetent assholes expected.
Exactly as anyone with a few functioning brain cells expected, but not what they thought.
The "Plan" was simple: do everything the opposite of what Trump did. Not surprising to me that the outcome was also the opposite.

They can hang all of it on Biden and when they replace him, it will all be no longer news. This should stick to all the democrats, but I don't think it will

This whole mess is just so… stupid. Who is actually making decisions in this joke of an administration?

More so now then ever before I am convinced that the 2020 election was a farce, this idiot spent much of the campaign season hiding in his Delaware basement and when he did make appearances we were treated to videos of his own ineptitude (wandering aimlessly on stage, looking lost and making rambling incoherent speeches), there is no way enough legitimate voters choose this fool over Trump or, frankly, even the third party candidates.

We have been had and now, I hope, the rest of the world understands that a weak aimless US is a bad thing… he Macron, co you miss Trump yet?

I send this out to you ol' Joe

The U.S. abandonment of South Vietnam in 1975 was a despicable failure to honor an obligation to an ally, but that one bore little similarity to this event. This is far worse.

In 1975 the U.S. had already withdrawn its combat forces from Vietnam on the basis of an agreement negotiated with the North. The withdrawal wasn’t a sudden pulling the rug out from under the South and our other allies. When the North (totally expectedly) broke the agreement that led to the U.S. withdrawal and attacked in the South again, the U.S. refused to supply the previously-agreed military materiel aid that the South begged for. The southern forces fought and resisted the North’s attack initially, but were ultimately defeated at least in part because of our broken promises.

As I have recommended before, anyone interested in a detailed account of the fall of the Republic of Vietnam should read the book Black April: The Fall of South Vietnam, 1973-75 by George J Veith.

Has anyone read this book? ”When the Center Held” by Donald Rumsfeld in his 2018 biography. I am not certain this is factual but it is going around the web.

“In 1975, President Ford was left to manage the difficult ending of
the Vietnam War. President Ford went to Congress for a relief package
to allow American personnel and our allies to evacuate. However, there
was ONE US SENATOR who opposed any such support. The result was the
embarrassing and hurried evacuation from the roof of the American
embassy in Saigon. This senator reveled in the embarrassment and did
everything he could to leverage it politically against Ford. Despite
the efforts of this U.S .Senator–President Ford managed to rescue
1,500 South Vietnamese allies prior to the country’s fall. Had
President Ford not acted quickly, these people would have been
targeted and slaughtered for their support for America. When they
arrived in America, President Ford asked Congress for a package to
assist these refugees integrate into American society. That SAME
troublesome SENATOR TORPEDOED ANY SUPPORT for these shell shocked,
anti communist, Americans and our helpers, refugees. Instead,
President Ford had to recruit Christian organizations to offer
assistance on a voluntary basis. As he did so, the Senator belittled
those efforts. What kind of person would oppose President Ford’s
tireless work to do the right and humanitarian thing? Who would want
to play politics with the well-being of innocent people who stood by
America in the tragic Vietnam War? THAT SENATOR WAS JOE BIDEN”

From the book –
”When the Center Held.” by Donald Rumsfeld in 2018.(biography)

Also more information on the fall of South Vietnam and Biden here:

https://www.dailykos.com/stori...-from-the-US-in-1975

Hundreds of thousands of South Vietnamese allies were in danger of recriminations from the Communists, but Biden insisted that “the United States has no obligation to evacuate one — or 100,001 — South Vietnamese.”

I think many of the reporters have left Kabul. Media like CNN, Wash Post, NYT have pulled their people.

So we are entering a time now where the news may mostly come from U.S. govt and the taliban.

Sec State Blinken said today that:

- a State Department analysis in offering 6,000 as the number of "American citizens in Afghanistan who wanted to leave." 4,500 have so far been evacuated
- Blinken now says the number of Americans who want to be evacuated is definitively 500, with 1,000 others they are trying to ascertain their status, though numbers are hard to pin down.

The biden administration will lie and minimize how many got left behind (because biden lies every time he talks)

So, in addition to all the other weapons and gear the U.S. has left the Taliban, it looks like we'll be throwing in a few miles of concertina and barb wire to help with their new defenses. Roll Eyes

-------------

How desperate do you have to be to cling to the side of an aircraft and fall to your death or wade through sewage for a chance at escaping the coming oppression, destruction, violence, pain, and death?

There have been countless times when I've been angered and saddened by previous administrations, but never more so than now. If I were to meet an Afghani or a citizen from one of our coaliton partner's countries, I'm not sure I'd be able to look them in the eyes.

The level of anger, sadness, embarrassment, and humiliation I feel now while watching those desperate people and the troops dealing with this mess because of the Biden administration is immeasurable and indescribable. Mad Frown

Dear God in Heaven.
