Well that's it. The last three Luftwaffe aircraft left Kabul in the evening local time, taking the final loads of civilians and all German troops; as well as the American WIAs from the suicide attack who were reportedly medevaced by an A310 set up for intensive care transport which had been circling the airport for just such a contingency. Total of over 5,300 evacuees, including 505 German citizens, 4,200 Afghans (though a lot allegedly were dual nationals, so might as well come under column A). The two H145M helicopters were already airlifted out yesterday, apparently without having been used for the intended purpose; the pickup of 21 Germans from the city noted earlier was reportedly by MH-6s.

Also, journalists from various German media complaining that when they flew into Kabul in the last two days, they were put right on the next flight out again by US troops. Oh well, they will survive the experience.

I think it is time for the 25th Amendment to be invoked. Bidet is a complete disaster, and while Kommiehoe is a cackling, inept fool, she at least will probably listen to her military and intel advisors as she'll be in way over her head, whereas Bidet thinks he's a military genius because his son Hunter, or Beau, served in Afghanistan, or Iraq, as a Navy captain, or Army colonel, or whatever.

One very interesting thing, the press can't hide this for the D and buydem. They have to report it, you can't hide the smoke, videos of helicopters being used, guns, suicide runs.

The international press has this now, Buydem and the Dems can't be protected.

Oh there will be stories of how it's Trump, Bush, someone else's fault, but the pictures, all the film.... can't hide it....

WSJ Reports 4 Marines Lost

Updated Aug. 26, 2021 12:54 pm ET

The U.S. ambassador in Kabul has told staff there that four U.S. Marines were killed in an explosion at the city’s airport and three wounded, a U.S. official with knowledge of the briefing said. Two explosions ripped through crowds of Afghans trying to enter the airport on Thursday.

At least three U.S. troops were injured, a U.S. official said. Witnesses reported multiple fatalities among the Afghans, many of whom were trying to enter the airport because they had assisted U.S.-led coalition efforts and feared persecution by the Taliban.

Western governments have repeatedly warned of an imminent attack by Islamic State and urged their citizens not to approach the airport. After the blasts, the U.S. Embassy told all Americans to leave the entrances to the airport immediately.

The explosion at the Abbey Gate of the airport was the result of a complex attack, Pentagon press secretary John Kirby said. He said another blast occurred near the Baron hotel adjacent to the airport. A British security official said both attacks were carried out by suicide bombers...

Friday? He's going to be back at Camp David hiding under his bed from the bad people asking him questions all weekend long.

We'll hear something from Droolin Joe on Monday when his meds kick in.

Yeah, we needed to get out RIGHT NOW! with no thought to anything else.

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

The Iranian hostage rescue debacle has now been superseded.

Anyone who voted for Biden, anyone who pushed Biden for President needs to be arrested, tried and executed for State Treason.

It only stands to reason that where there's sacrifice, there's someone collecting the sacrificial offerings. Where there's service, there is someone being served. The man who speaks to you of sacrifice is speaking of slaves and masters, and intends to be the master.

That's damn silly. You need to think before you post in this forum.

We are going to leave hundreds, if not thousands, of US citizens behind.

We are going to leave thousands, possibly tens of thousands of Afghan allies behind.

Who knows how many foreign allied citizens aren't getting out. Hundreds? Thousands?

Wait until video by the dozens, maybe hundreds, start making their way to all the different outlets, showing all the executions taking place.

People are furious now? Wait until night after night, new video(s), streams, and so forth show Afghan interpreters, their families, and especially (former) US allies citizens, and American Citizens being murdered in near real time, with no filter.

Then you will see real fury by the citizens of this nation. Maybe a fury unlike this country has ever seen.

Possibly even worse, we may well see a fury in the citizenry of once allied nations like the UK, also unlike anyone has ever seen.

And that fury will be directed at us.

America is standing on an incredibly dangerous precipice, oblivious in so many ways as to what is waiting in the Abyss, should we take those last few, small steps forward.

Every combat loss is of course truly awful and heart breaking. Combat losses on what some might call the last day of the war are tragic beyond words.

I don’t even think it is possible to convey how this makes me feel today.

I find this thought so unlike, so alien, to my unwavering support for my country, but our allies are right to be furious and disappointed in us. I honestly hope they hold us accountable for this debacle... or, more accurately, I hope our allies and coalition partners can separate our nation and citizens from our failed feckless arrogant political leadership. I hope they are able to recognize that "we" U.S. citizens have been just as betrayed by the Biden administration as they have been.

This is infuriating, and I fear more American lives will be lost due to the incompetence of this administration before the end of the month. I can't imagine what is going through the minds of our men and women in uniform right now.
