Strangely enough the comments say she's a Russian, and the video is from 2020/2021.

Stop it. Don't let facts like that get in the way of a good war hero story !! She's driving that vehicle straight into the teeth of the enemy. Big Grin

It could be a routine test flight before the guy who lectures us on green energy flies to Wisconsin the day after the State of the Union.

I have seen it mentioned in a couple of video that the Chechen convoy, including Prada boot guy from page 22 of this thread, got themselves droned yesterday. One video suggested that geo tags in their own social media post helped to pinpoint their location for the drone team. Brilliant!

What is the backstory on the Chechens?

Are they, like, especially talented and trained and superhumanly capable warriors like Ghurkas, or just totally depraved with no human empathy?

Are they Muslim?

Never mind. I found my answer. Ukrainians ae greasing their bullets with lard and Twitter has canceled them.

https://www.westernjournal.com...ers-bullets-pig-fat/

Social media video from the controversial Azov Battalion of the Ukrainian National Guard shows members coating bullets in pig fat to deter Russian fighters who hail from the majority-Muslim region of Chechnya.

The video comes as Ramzan Kadyrov, a Chechen strongman loyal to Russian President Vladimir Putin, has bragged of his soldiers’ prowess and claimed that his soldiers could help take Ukraine’s major cities.

While it’s unclear where the video originated, it was published to the Ukrainian National Guard’s Twitter account in a Sunday posting, which was promptly slapped with a “hateful conduct” label by the social media giant.

“Azov fighters of the National Guard greased the bullets with lard against the Kadyrov orcs,” the English text in the tweet read.

The 35-second video showed what was purportedly an Azov Battalion soldier larding up bullets from a box and placing them in the magazine of his weapon.

Lard is considered unclean according to Muslim religious law, which regards anything proceeding from the pig as unclean. Smearing bullets with lard, would be the ultimate insult against Muslim fighters.

(The idea that a Muslim who dies as a result of a wound inflicted by such bullet would be unable to enter paradise makes the rounds periodically, but is unfounded, a religious scholar told The Washington Post, in a 2013 report.)

If the story is true, equally Brilliant! is letting them know how they were pinpointed.

There are plenty of social media post coming from all directions advising those in the war zone to turn off geo location and geo tags. Google even agree yesterday to turn off traffic features in Google Maps for Ukraine so that info couldn't be used. Apparently the Chechens didn't get the public service announcements in time.

From a casual reading of history, picture a tiny Afghanistan that mostly stayed conquered by Russia but had periodic bloody rebellions.

They're Caucasian Islamic fighters, who use their religion as an excuse and justification for their brutal actions.

In the world of Third World irregular warfare, Chechens carry with them a fearsome reputation, a willingness to do heinous acts of barbary & cruelty, along with being capable fighters. The vast majority of militias from the developing world are pathetically undisciplined, unable to conduct all but the simplest of tactics. Chechens however have built themselves a reputation to be reliable, capable and stubborn, tie-in acts of brutality from their actions in the Caucasus, to fighting in Islamic world where myth making is a cultural pastime, and they've got a reputation which proceeds them.

In this case, the Ukrainians are the home team, and their women have zero compunction to joining their husbands to fight off the invaders; a giant chunk of the population has taken up arms. This war is becoming very much about information warfare so, take whatever is read and viewed with a grain of salt, particularly if its a simple sound bite or video clip that gives no context or indicators.

https://www.foxbusiness.com/ma...dumping-gazprom-deal

Shell is calling it quits in Russia and has announced plans to exit its relationship with Gazprom and related entities.

On Monday, in a statement, CEO Ben van Beurden detailed the emotional decision.

"Our decision to exit is one we take with conviction," said van Beurden. "We cannot – and we will not – stand by. Our immediate focus is the safety of our people in Ukraine and supporting our people in Russia. In discussion with governments around the world, we will also work through the detailed business implications, including the importance of secure energy supplies to Europe and other markets, in compliance with relevant sanctions."

The unwinding of the joint venture includes a "27.5% stake in the Sakhalin-II liquefied natural gas facility, its 50% stake in the Salym Petroleum Development and the Gydan energy venture."

Shell also intends to end its involvement in the Nord Stream 2 pipeline project, as detailed in the announcement.

They aren't the only major Petro company pulling up stakes.
BP to ‘exit’ its $14 billion stake in Russian oil giant in stark sign that Western business is breaking ties over Ukraine invasion

Ole Vlad has really stepped in it this time as the Russian economy is going to take a beating over these moves. Now the question....How bad is the blow back going to be on the US in terms of impacts to our economy?

I'm assuming then that Oregon has state run liquor stores.

It's the same in Utah; they're banning the sale off all Russian liquor. I believe New Hampshire was the first state to order their liquor stores to pull their Russian products from their shelves.

And this makes no sense to me. That vodka was already purchased. That's only hurting the state. But whatever, that'll show Putin. Russian oil good; Russian vodka bad.

If Biden was smart, he’d be dumping Russian oil and immediately opening US wells at full production like under Trump. Re-start Keystone and repair the damage with Canadian oil suppliers. Basically bring gas prices down, end this inflation madness. Being smart right now could seriously affect both the midterms and the next presidential election.

Thank goodness he ISN’T smart.

Yup, makes NO sense to me either! They're just pulling it off the shelves though, NOT destroying it. They'll sell it at a later date when it's NOT as unfashionable and/or people determine that the 'virtue signal' has less value than the Russian Vodka. Roll Eyes

They had a story on FNC this afternoon about liquor stores and bars in NYC pouring it out on the street.

Meh, they can do what they like...as long as they don't start pouring out the good Polish potato vodka. That would be a crime.
