I assume the local WM stores will now post the 30.07 signs at all their doors. (Those are the ones that ban Open Carry in Texas locations.)

Fuck'em.

It was such a pain in the ass to find the re'tard with the keys to the ammo cabinet I stopped trying along time ago.
I go to my local gun shop, buy ammo pretty much every time I walk in.

All the folks in Chicago should feel save now.

41 shot, 7 fatally, in Chicago Labor Day weekend violence

All we need now is for Costco to stop selling gas.
Do you realize how many deaths we have from drunk driving every weekend.
It is astronomical.

Tucker Carlson disappointed me this evening.
He had an anti-gun nut talking about what we didn’t need for hunting.
Stated it twice that we do not need these types of weapons for hunting, with no response from Tucker.

I don’t hunt, and the Constitution says nothing about protecting hunting rights.

Sadly I did run to Wal-Mart tonight to pickup 124 Grain 9mm FMJ after seen this post.
They had several on the shelf yesterday and I only bought 1 box of 150 rounds.
All were gone at the first Wal-Mart.
Second Wal-Mart had one box.

There we were 5 guys in our 50’s and 60’s waiting for the glass case to be unlocked.
That cashier was the safest person in the store with all that armed protection waiting for more ammo.

I hate going to Wal-Mart and over they last year I try not to give them my business. In my area I have only bought ammo from them 2 to 3 times in the last five years. They don't have what I want and when they do I can find it cheaper at Sportsman's Warehouse or Runnings for less.

I just saw an article that said Chicago's homicide numbers were already decreasing. Local gangster Montavius said, "If Wal Mart ain't sellin no mo fotys how can I bust a cap on Tobishas black ass? Thanks Wal Marts, my high point be empty now!"

Wow, if Wal-Mart had only enacted this sooner then the shooting would never have happened! Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

Such a stupid move. I rarely ever go to Wal-Mart and when I did it was for 9mm ammo but even then you had to wait like 20 minutes for an employee to come unlock the cabinet. They can piss off. What very little business they had of mine they just lost.

Finally, we encourage our nation’s leaders to move forward and strengthen background checks and to remove weapons from those who have been determined to pose an imminent danger. We do not sell military-style rifles, and we believe the reauthorization of the Assault Weapons ban should be debated to determine its effectiveness. We must also do more, as a country, to understand the root causes that lead to this type of violent behavior. Today, I’m sending letters to the White House and the Congressional leadership that call for action on these common sense measures. As we’ve seen before, these horrific events occur and then the spotlight fades. We should not allow that to happen. Congress and the administration should act. Given our decades of experience selling firearms, we are also offering to serve as a resource in the national debate on responsible gun sales.

That's funny. A few years ago I bought my Colt LE 6920 at a Walmart.

I have always hated Walmart to shop at.
The only time I ever went in was in the old days when they had lots of ammo cheap.
Would buy a ton of Blazer Brass at dirt cheap prices.
But I am surprised they do any business - unless you physically pick up something and take it to the counter you aren't buying anything.
Never anyone to help you at the ammo counter so they might as well just close down the guns/ammo dept out as they were doing a shitty job anyway as I recall. Eek

That person also said that no one hunts with an AK-47. I'll bet there are quite a few hunters who use the semi-auto version of that very gun, not to mention the very large number who do use AR-15s (another gun the antis want to ban).

I only go to WalMart to buy peanut butter. All the other markets have stopped carrying the large (4 lb) containers, and WM still has them.

I've always liked Walmart, it's probably got your basics and is entertaining. That said, wherever I am in the store, I always took a little comfort knowing just over there was available ammo at decent prices. A disturbing development indeed... Frown

Apparently you haven't been in your local "mom and pop shop" to buy ammo and compared them to Walmart's prices.

Does anybody ever consider the costs of doing business? I wonder what it cost the Mom & Pop vs. Walmart. Maybe that has something to do with the price differences.....

I was walking through one day and it blew my mind that they had one in the case. As a result I impulse bought my son's first AR.

So, how many employees nationwide are they going to "let go?"

Before you know it, all the murders and killings will be with .22 caliber. Roll Eyes

I assumed they would stop selling .22, its a handgun caliber as much as a rifle. I remember in Missouri you used to have to be 18 to buy deer rifle and shotgun rounds but 21 for .22, maybe that was just at Wal-Mart in Missouri. I don't know where the neckbeards are going to neck now, but I got tired of being asked if I was a US Citizen when buying ammo there.

WalMart is the occupying quartermaster of the Chinese Government. They as a corporate culture don't give a darn about the United States our manufacturing or production. 85% of what is in the store is made in China. Don't shop there, and haven't in probably twenty years. Social pandering and virtue signaling, all along with Chinese slave labor great recipe to ignore.

Of course it does, but it is not the only difference. Greed frequently is a factor.

I will say though that at my LGS I was told that they can't buy ammo for what Walmart sells it for. I don't know if that is true but that would certainly be a kick in the head for the local business.

Competition though is good.
