I agree with many here. The Donald did some great things as President (not the least of which was keeping Clinton from the office), and for that I am grateful. If, somehow or another, he gains the nomination, I will cast a vote for him again. I hope I don't have to.

I have zero respect or admiration for a grown man in his 70s behaving like a 12-year-old on the playground. Had he just kept his pie-hole shut and done the excellent job that he did, rather than picking fights with everyone, he'd very likely still be the President. He and his behavior are his own worst enemy. I'm tired of listening to him and I'm tired of his whining incessantly. He needs to ride off into the sunset like Presidents before him have done. His time is over.

Further, "they" took out the President of the United States...not a small task. Does anyone really believe that "they" will let him back in? There is not a chance in hell that Trump will win a general election..."they" will do whatever it takes, including the unthinkable, to stop him. It won't be allowed to happen...just like it wasn't allowed to happen last time, and those who are charged with preventing the leftist shenanigans have done exactly nothing to actually prevent them.

Laws allowing ballot harvesting, election month rather than election day, the use of computers with dubious software, illegals voting, the dead voting, etc...? None of these have been changed or enforced. The ONLY way we will ever have another fair election in this country is to go back to election DAY voting only, with hand counted paper ballots distributed to only those registered voters with valid ID.

We now have computers so powerful that every single bit of human knowledge is contained on a phone in your pocket, and we are led to believe that these computers cannot tabulate votes for days/weeks? Hand counted paper ballots used to give results by the time the 10 o'clock news came on. No, they will continue to manipulate the results until someone other than Donald Trump "wins".

DeSantis has given me many reasons to support him wholeheartedly in the primaries, should he run. About the only person that could knock him out of that position would be Pompeo who, I think, is better qualified on a national level. I like Mike. Until one of them announces though, I'm agnostic.

Well, if that's your opinion, what makes you thing 'they' will let DeSantis win?

If for no other reason? He's likable.

But don't get me wrong, I'm not holding my breath. The voting system in this nation, IMO, is nearly irreparable. It has become almost pointless.

Trump can be the next governor of Florida for all I care.

The dems will just commit massive voter fraud again. Zero consequences for their behavior in 2020 will make what they pull next year even worse. Hopefully the gloves come off and we beat them at their own game.

One reason I think someone like DeSantis can win is that in another almost two years the Democrats will have things even more screwed up than they did in the first two.
There will be a lot more voters that will be saying anybody but a Democrat, much like they said anyone but Trump last time.
DeSantis will also have had more time and wins in his governance of Florida to reassure those on the fence that he's the real deal.

I want Trump to win again. That being said, I don't see how he can win again.

He won against Clinton in a surprise attack win as the Dem's didn't bother cheating hard at that time since they could not believe he could win. But he did and now the Dem's are wary and willing to go all out in cheating if his name is on the ballot. He was the damn President of the USA for four years and couldn't stop the opposing side from cheating their way back in. Now Trump is no longer the President and has even less power, and probably less support. How is he going to stop the cheating from happening this time? Whether Trump is right about the Dem's cheating in the last election means NOTHING if they can simply cheat again to keep the Presidency away from him.

Look at all the suspicious stuff that happened during the mid terms and what became of it? NOTHING! They'll just do it again to keep Trump out. Yes I understand the Dem's have Jack and Shit to run against anyone, but guess what, Jack might have left town, but Shit is the sitting President, and they can continue to successfully replace Shit with more/another Shit as long as cheating in the elections (and lying in the media/Internet) has no consequences along with supposedly neutral federal institutions like the FBI openly willing to do the Dem's biddings.

Consider Hunter's laptop, media suppression, and political power peddling Joe when he was VP congressional investigations. So what?! Yes, it makes interesting gossip about Hunter's dick pics, drugs, and hookers, however Hunter now makes more than I do in a year selling one shitty piece of art and Joe is President. In fact, I personally believe Joe just got done personally going to Ukraine to ensure that everyone that could implicate him and Hunter is probably dead by promising Zelensky all the weapons he wants for free. What other reason does Joe physically need to go there?

So I ask how the hell is Trump going to win against these levels of corruption and cheating, when he couldn't (or failed) to do shit against it while he was still President? Yes I also understand you could say the same thing about any Republican presidential challenger, but Trump had a unique 4-year opportunity as President to make meaningful fixes to the system, but failed. Sure he did great things while president, however ensuring he had a chance to stay or become president again wasn't one of them.

I never cared that Trump liked to talk big and brag. That's fine with me as long as you show results, but in my opinion, he blew his one chance at a 2nd term by not fixing what actually needs to be fixed to allow outsiders like himself to win in the future. Whether it was naivete or inexperience on his part is irrelevant now. He is not as powerful now as an ex-president as he was then as an actual President.

Sorry if I sound like a defeatist. I will happily vote Trump again, I just don't believe my vote counts for much when it's so easily cheated away and the one man who supposedly wanted to fix these swamp-related things failed to do so when he had the chance.

Has Desantis even said he was going to run?

I have some question about him even if he does. A good gov. Sure, But prez. I think the jury is out on that one.

If he does and wins. Good for him. That is big stretch at this point though.

Could Trump win, sure. If that does not happen I do not think Desantis is a shoe in at this point. I think a lot of things could happen. Just my take.

No. I actually think he's undecided.

The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

Well the Georgia grand jury examining the 2020 elections there teased that one name came up in multiple indictments. Hmmmm, I wonder who that could be.

Pphhhbbttt (if that's how you spell a Bronx Cheer). The idiot prosecutor in Georgia seems to be no more intimidating than that idiot state AG in New York. I'm still waiting to see what they've actually got.

Well MSNBC has decided DeSantis is toast, because, he is from Florida and everyone knows that FL is all "Alligators and Crystal Meth"

Florida, home of ‘crystal meth and alligators,’ will hurt DeSantis with voters claims MSNBC

MSNBC contributor and Morgan State professor Dr. Jason Johnson argued that Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis would be running against more than just Donald Trump if he announced his candidacy for president.

"I have to set this up properly," Johnson said on Tuesday as guest host of MSNBC's "The ReidOut."

"You run from Florida, it’s all crystal meth and alligators, right?" Johnson said, explaining that voter stereotypes of the Sunshine State may come to hurt DeSantis’ presidential hopes.

"I mean, that’s what people think. And I’m not saying that’s the case, I'm saying those are sort of the national reputations of those states" he added.

"In my view, there are three states that you can’t really run from if you’re trying to win across America," Johnson said

You run from New York, you’re too crazy, you’re a liberal. You run from California, you’re too crazy, you’re liberal [and] you’re trying to make sure I can’t get plastic straws. You run from Florida, it’s all crystal meth and alligators, right?"

Democratic political strategist Kurt Bardella agreed with Johnson’s view of Florida.

"We must have entered some sort of quantum realm here if Ron DeSantis thinks that the entirety of the United States of America wants to have happen in our country what he has done to the state of Florida."

That's the secret grand jury that are sworn to not talk about the process and what was discussed.
Instead they are appearing on NPR and liberal media giggling about what went on there.

I think Trump Should stop attacking the members of the GOP. He should shift his focus on the Dems especially Gavin Newsome and Phil Murphy if Biden doesn't seek reelection.
I would love it if Trump and DeSantis would team up. One term as VP and possibly two as president.
Also hire Winsome Earle Sears as US attorney general.

Actually, it was 2015, and I no longer feel that way about the man. Donald Trump has earned my undying respect, no matter what anyone else thinks about him. He's got balls the size of cantaloupes.

And a generous heart.

If President Trump wants to really wreck the Democrats’ day, he should ask Governor DeSantis to be his running mate.

Why?

1. Trump can make it clear in the election that his goal is to give DeSantis the experience to become President. Trump can’t serve a third term, so his VP choice is the heir apparent. Trump needs to follow through, of course, and DeSantis needs to be assigned areas that resonate with the conservative base. It’s tempting to say DeSantis ought be put in charge of the border or homelessness but those are hugely intractable problems, not ideal for helping DeSantis grow into a larger role as eventual POTUS.

2. It nullifies the MSM desire for a bruising Trump vs. DeSantis conflict.

3. Trump would get to play kingmaker.

4. Trump-DeSantis 2024!
