Preference for "one's own kind" is as natural as human history. To associate it with mental illness is, I suspect, a uniquely American (or at least Western) trait. One might expect "anti-semitism" from places like Saudi Arabia, Iran, etc., but you'll also find it in places like South Korea...China...Japan. Prejudice, discrimination and outright hostility towards Jews, Blacks, etc. are part of many advanced and successful societies, whether we like it or not. Racial and ethnic discrimination is utterly distasteful in present-day Western society, but in other parts of the world the natives think of it like they think of farm animals. They wouldn't think of mixing the wrong breeds of cattle together, and they actively reject any groups of people that might "contaminate" their culture or society. (See China and Japan for examples.)

Jesus was killed by the Romans at the urging of members of the privileged elite Jewish priest class that collaborated with Roman rule. The priesty class had a good thing with the Romans and didn’t want anyone rocking the boat. The elite priestly class had little in common with the average Jew under the heal of Roman occupation. Most average Jewish peasants never heard of Jesus. Saying “The Jews” killed Jesus or “forced Pilots hand” based on the actions of a few of the elite class is thinking based on Christian religious bigotry and hatred. It’s an indictment of an entire group based on the actions of a few. It’s the sort of stereotyping typical of ignorant followers of predjudiced groups.

I agree. The Jewish leaders of the time put up Jesus for capital punishment because he was disrupting their power. The people in Jerusalem consented and supported the crucifixion of Jesus. And Rome having the authority of the land at the time, carried out the execution. But, bottom line, nobody hates the Jews for having killed Jesus. To the OP's question: it does make one wonder enough to consider whether whether they are "God's chosen people" with a specific purpose and a plan with opposing forces attempting to thwart said plan. As a Christian, I am fascinated by their scripture and their history. Obviously, the very first Christians were Jews. I have looked at the promises given them as a people and have looked at the confirmation of the fulfilled ones as reliable and makes me hopeful for the remaining promises. "I will bless those who bless you and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you." "It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Viktor Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning, 1946.

Live for awhile in a community taken over by Hasidic Jews. The reply to the OP's question will come a lot easier.

Actually, I do. So, I have no ill feelings toward them. And he began to teach them, that the Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected of the elders, and of the chief priests, and scribes, and be killed, and after three days rise again. - Mark 8:31 (KJV) Q

Here's a whole website devoted to that question: http://www.kabbalah.info/bb/why-do-people-hate-jews/ For some reason, the Tube It video tool won't work with this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?...nue=46&v=l6HWQITuowQ

You need to study history if you don't understand it. I always find it strange that conservatives love Jews even though they brought communism to power. In the modern day they provide aid to ISIS and allied fighters with nary a cross word from the west, its mind boggling.

It's for the same reasons Blacks hate Whites, the rest of the world hates the USA, and people will hate you if you're better at something than they are.

I had to read this a few times. Are you saying it is Jewish people who are providing aid to ISIS? Care to elaborate?

Well you're a stupid mother fucker aren't you? Go read some fucking history you halfwit. Yes the Bolshevik revolution had Jews as participants. I'd join a revolution that promised equity for all too, considering Tsars were actively encouraging the rape and murder of Jews (look up progroms). They very quickly found out they were sold a false bill of goods. I bet you think Jews eat babies and have horns too. You've been reading some good propaganda I guess. I'm not even going to comment on the ISIS stuff, that is out there. PS, we really do move all the levers behind closed doors and have almost completed our plans to take over the world. Since Egypt is part of Africa and God put the Israeli's into bondage with Egypt, then it follows that God is behind slavery and Africans are the original slaveholders. I imaging every tribe held slaves. Just what tribes do. What tribe are you Just stirring the pot

Even if we agree that Jews were responsible for Communism (a ridiculous assertion), it is certainly odd that you think it's strange that conservatives would love Jews because of that fact. In other words, a political ideology (conservatism) should cause one to hate an entire group of people based on their involvement in a political event that happened 100 years ago. I suppose you find it strange that people love Muslims, since they perpetrated 9/11? Japanese for Pearl Harbor? Based on this logic, you could find a reason not to love any group of people.

It is helpful to think of these issues from time to time, because it helps to be prepared for the future. If Anti-Jewish pogroms started to occur in this country, what would you do? Would you actively help your fellow man? Or would you stand by (as was so often in the case throughout history)...justifying inaction somehow with some soothing words? One always hopes that they will "do the right thing", even in times of trouble. It doesn't always happen. As an American, I personally hope that we don't follow the examples of Germany, or France, or Russia.

People sure get touchy when criticizing the chosen people. Go look up the 1917 German civil war, it's not a shock that the Germans hated the Jews as much as the communists. After that read what Churchill had to say about the role they played in the spread of communism. Name calling doesn't change history.

What about anti Japanese or anti Muslim?

Maybe you need to do a little reading bud. You will find nothing a bout a civil war in Germany in 1917, you mean Russian. As for your assertions that the Jews caused Communism, it's completely BS and is in fact made up propaganda by anti-Semites. As I stated earlier there were participants in the revolution, but the Jewish population in Russia was very small by 1917 as they had fled the Progroms mostly prior to 1917, and continued to flee the Red Army and subsequent Progroms. Do your really think that a couple hundred thousand Jews caused Communism? Really? Jesse Sic Semper Tyrannis

That Israeli physicians would aid a wounded enemy combatant should by no means suggest complicity. That’s what physicians do. I’ve treated a great many individuals who would be more than happy to slit my or my family’s throats had the setting differed. I would without judgement do so again. It’s not a matter of indiscriminate or ill founded criticism that is so disturbing, it’s the intent or hidden agenda with which such allegations are professed that leads to hatred, prejudice, cruelty and inhumanity. “That which is hateful to you, do not do to your fellow” Hillel
