trapper189,

Congratulations! But, your daughter deserves a thread of her own for such an achievement. Just sayin’.

Watching the sunrise at 10,000 feet at Haleakala National Park in Maui with my mom. My mom had just gone through a period of complete absolute hell in treating her cancer and recovering from her death bed. She spent weeks building strength to be able to walk so we could do this trip together. Getting tickets to be able to go to the top of the mountain to watch the sunrise is like winning the lottery as it is so hard. Due to a computer glitch, I was able to secure tickets months in advance for a day we would be there. Normally tickets become available a couple of days in advance and sell out within a minute. This was a moment meant to be.

Here is an amazing time lapse video I took of that sunrise!

Also took my mom to an AMAZING dinner that neither of us will ever forget for many reasons. This is a trip we will both cherish the rest of our lives.

Thanks Monkey; your mom is smiling down watching you. My mom is my priority. I lost my dad in 2016 to a stroke and then my mom’s cancer hit after that and it is still a struggle every week, but I cherish every day I have with her and will do anything in the world for her. Tomorrow I am taking her to a five star steakhouse for lunch with my wife to celebrate Valentine’s Day and my birthday.

Good on you StorminNormin! Hoping time with mom lasts for a long time.

Recently I’ve been making progress to get back into golf this year.
My back is happier than it has been in years! {{Fingers crossed}}

I am very happy that yesterday my 23 year old purchased his first home. Joyous event in a young man’s life. And no he did it with his earned money.

That is awesome. I too was 23 when my wife and I bought our first home and it was a custom built new home.

Yesterday February 13, Penn State Wrestling team (ranked #1) defeated #2 Ohio State 36 - 5. This is Penn State Wrestling team 85th conservative win. They set the record at 77 wins earlier in January. Their last loss was in January 2020.

Edited to correct the date. Time flies.

We took my 91 yo father and almost 90 mother out for chinese food yesterday for his birthday. To get them out was a joy. They still live at home in our tiny community and we see them about every other day. Having them is the biggest blessing.
