I understand. I lost Kona last August, the last of his family. His mother died two years ago. I wasn't ready to replace them yet, but a situation arose and a shelter that my girlfriend was following on Faceplant suddenly had 130 cats to find homes for. We took in two of them, adopting one and fostering the other. We may take another foster if necessary. It stretches our limited resources.

I had a bad cat experience as a teen in the 70's. I had to have injections in the stomach.
I became a cat person via a neighbors cat. The cat decided he wanted to be my friend, and wouldn't take no for an answer.
