Just got an email from Helm saying my Khuraburi Titanium is about to become available.

Since I took advantage of fischtown's Khuraburi, I'd like to pass this opportunity on to anyone who'd like to own one.

Give me a shout; email in my profile and I'll notify Helm for your info.

Ugh...messed up the quoting for this.

48 hours to purchase a Helm Khuraburi Titanium if anyone is interested.

OK I actually like budget watches too!
Citizen came out swinging for the fence with the Tsuyosa series. $249 at Jomashop! Stainless is $219.

The Hamilton Khaki Below Zero is a watch that has been on my radar for quite a few years. It’s chunky, big and has a very Bell & Ross aesthetic going on. Variants of this watch were in the film The Martian and Tenet.

The newest versions are titanium and can be differentiated by their lack of a date complication. This one is stainless steel is surprisingly comfy on the wrist.

I am LOVING this dial.

I got it for less than $700 used from a seller in Japan with a full kit. After a few days on the wrist it is keeping around +1 second a day average.

I bought it knowing a service would be needed soon but for now I’m going to enjoy it and the exquisite time keeping. Cool

Here is a pic of the newest titanium Below Zero sporting a bit of color. I think it looks great. They also come in a stealthy blacked out colorway.

The Hamilton Below Zero is a lot lighter and MUCH more comfortable on a 24mm NATO strap.

I was also VERY lucky to be gifted a 2004 original SKX009 from a friend/coworker. It’s actually keeping decent time considering the age! The original rubber straps, what was left of them, basically fell apart in my hands. I put it on a gray NATO to match the sun faded black to gray dial and well worn bezel insert. This watch is so cool!!!!

Starting in 1969 when I bought my first Rolex (Sea Dweller) through 2015 when I bought my current Omega Seamaster 300M all have been diver style with black dials. About three years ago I started thinking about getting a white dial chrono. Looking at both Omega and Rolex versions I suffered severe sticker shock. Skip ahead to a month ago when my wife of 44 years showed me a flyer from her favorite local Indian casino that feature a watch I could learn to love!
While not a brand that has the status of a top tier sport watches, it had a style I liked. It was a quartz chronograph with a black leather band and would also save me $15,000 from the Omega Speedmaster and $35,000 for the Daytona white dial.

Luckily, this past Monday, we were able to go to said local casino and pick up the prize! Forgot to mention that these were giveaway promotional gifts! I call it my B.M. watch, it is far from shitty. LOL

FYI - I found a great SS Mesh watch band

EACHE SS mesh watch band is braided with 1mm diameter stainless steel wire
quick release spring bars
you can fit it by hand and don’t need tools
adjust length of the band directly without using any tools.
Comes in polished or all black
Comes in 18mm, 20mm, and 22mm

+ I paid $15.99 next day through Amazon Prime!

LOL, that's exactly what my brother-in-law said to me last night when he came over for dinner. That company should post a warning in their ad.

After perusing the forum here for a while, I am looking to get my wife a nice watch for her retirement very soon. I was told not to go crazy, no idea what that means but am looking to get an Omega Watch, (De Ville), for my wife and am looking at a Quartz movement. Are their quartz movements good or would an automatic be better?

I am also looking at Tag Heuer brand. How well are they made? Any help is much appreciated.

Nothing wrong with the Omega De Ville Tresor or Presage series, starting around $3000 and ranging up to around $24000. Quality quartz movements.

Tag Heuer also has excellent quarts movements. My daughter is wearing her mother's Tag quartz that is 26 years old still running the original quartz movement (as is my 26 year old Tag) . I really like the looks of the ladies TAG Aquaracer Date (27mm) in steel and gold at $2800. Also available in the 32mm version at $3200. $900 more will get the Aquaracer Professional 200 SOLARGRAPH ($4100), bigger at 40mm.

By the way, my Tag finally went for service at 26 years....gaskets and "O" rings and crown and crown tube replaced. It's now water resistant again. Movement still keeping perfect time.

So far, pretty good, but I admit this one doesn’t get as much time on the wrist as I thought it would… I like the look, but wasn’t able to put one of the adjustable clasps on the bracelet due to design, so it’s not as comfortable.

And the bezel is a bit lighter in action that I like, it’s constantly getting bumped out of alignment. But it’s a good looking piece, I think it’s going on for tomorrow!

Well, it can't compare to the Rolexes, Omegas, and other nice watches often featured on this thread, but on Monday I ordered an Old Smith 90-007 from Kuoe Kyoto. Stainless with a black face, gold markings, and a black leather strap. It's a small watch, with a 35mm case; a reflection of it being an homage to watches from the 1930s.

It arrived on Thursday, and over the course of 48 hours it's been running at +/- 0 seconds per day. I'd say that's excellent for any automatic watch, let alone one based on a Miyota 82S5 movement.

I'll try to post some photos tomorrow.

I saw that the current Diver 300M has models that come standard with a mesh band

So I took the $15.99 band off one of my free casino timepieces and put it on my 10 y.o. 300M and LIKED IT.

^So…. I could get the real deal Omega one for $800^

^or I found a very nice German one from Hermann Staib for $216.^
