Big Grin

I looked at a couple of "vintage Seiko" yesterday. Rebuilt, oddball (non-original) parts, blah-blah. A couple of those looked straight-up rough! Yikes.

This has been my daily lately this summer. The lighter color face gives it a summer feel to me and it's fairly lightweight too.

I like my other Ball diver better, but waiting for an extra link from the factory. Should be here soon.

FYI:
Looking at picking up another piece.
Checking out Chrono24 as a site to go. Heard nothing but good things, bla, bla, bla...

I forgot about Tariffs!
Damnit! Looks like I'm going local vs overseas (Japan or Germany)

Here's the calculator:

Over 10%, depending on material.

Last year I bought two watches from outside the USA, one from the UK and the other from a private individual from Australia. My tariff costs came out to over $1200.00, BUT when SCOTUS overturned the process used by the administration to levy these tariffs, I was notified by the shipping company (DHL) and they refunded them to me via PayPal without request!!!

I've done a number of purchases through Chrono24 and haven't had any significant issues. It's a good resource for buyers and sellers (I've sold a couple of watches through them too), but buyers should always do their research.

Well, I finally snagged one of the Maratacs I wanted. Bought the DC50 I think three years ago, then the mid pilot two years ago, and it killed watch collecting for me because after I got it, I didn’t want to wear anything else. However, a little over four years ago, I passed on an SR-35 X1 in the classifieds here for a stellar price because it didn’t have the bracelet. I didn’t realize at the time that they did a run of them without the bracelet, which they now currently offer for sale as a standalone upgrade for the people who bought those. I’ll be ordering one later. Anyways, I always regretted not snapping up a titanium SR-35 when I had the chance and it’s been the one watch I’ve wanted to add since then. I found this one on eBay and sent an offer, the seller messaged me and we actually took it offline and I got it for a better price than my offer since he got to save on fees. Risky, I know, but I had a feeling and took a gamble and it paid off.

It’s the one in the middle. It wears quite nicely, crazy light like the other two. Need to take a lume shot tonight, but it’s a torch just like the others. Bezel action is perfect.

Next on the hit list is one of their titanium LSA homages if I can find the right deal.

It might have been me who bought that from r0gue, but I'm not sure of the model number.
