Saw one that closed at over $7k (pretty sure a real Speedy can be had for that).
Buyer probably won't follow through. Be a shame to go through all that & the watch is still worth $300 after the transaction Razz

Yes, you can get a real Speedy for $7K. Not the one like Rogue's, with the throwback movement, but the "regular" Speedy is about that price.

And you can get pre owned Speedy's for $3k.

Last I'd checked, a sapphire sandwich Moonwatch, from a few online listings, was in the high7-10k range.

Not gonna lie, I like the concept. One day I'll spend the $7k ish on a REAL Speedy, but not now.

The Mercury and Moon have my attention, the Neptune looks nice as well.
If I'm hearing correctly, Swatch plans on making these for a long time... Not just a "limited edition" and they're going to be available at stores and on-line soon enough. The only negative thing I'm hearing is about the color bleeding off (as seen above). Everything else seems to be in line with a $260 watch... I don't know why people are expecting the quality and craftsmanship of an actual Omega in a $260 package. It's like buying a VW and expecting a Porsche.

I spent a little less on a Seko from MadMod Watches, and it's pretty much my EDC at work, and is holding up better than expected. If this can come close, I'll be happy!

My wife’s Steinie got a new strap. She complained of only having “masculine strap options” so I got her something that she should like and ordered a pink and orange strap too.

The best thing about a white bezel & dial is that it matches everything. Cool

The lume on this watch looks so good with the MOP dial.

She loves it. I asked her recently if she would rather have a Tag MOP dial quartz diver that wouldn’t die after sitting for a bit and need to be reset. She said nah I love how this one looks and I don’t mine it being reset…that’s what I have you for. Big Grin

Sent my Doxa 1000T COSC to Jack at IWW for a Spa treatment. She was pretty beat up but unfortunately don't have a good before pic. Had him service and bead blast everything except inner ring and the Jenny fish. Also didn't have him repaint bezel numbers because it will eventually come off. Just got it back. don't mind the dirty strap. New one arrival on Friday.

I'd wear it with that strap. I should have gotten one in that version. The current version is not as good looking, and is too girly.

hray, That Doxa turned our PERFECT!!! What a great restoration! You’re right about the paint wearing off on the bezel. I LOVE the look of your bezel with the blasted outer section and polished inner section with the lack of paint. It has a much different look from all the other Doxa watches now and different in a VERY good way.

VThoky, I know I’d already talked about my plans to mod the Seiko you helped me procure but the blacked out Seiko 5 has grown quite a bit on me and for the time being I have no plans to alter it at all. I am LOVING IT as it is. Smile

JHE888, yeah I’d totally wear it on some bracelets/straps. I’m kicking myself for not buying an identical version for myself. They are not at all easy to find now.

Yes sir! I am LOVING my Sub 1200T Searambler. Cool

I put it on brushed 20mm mesh because that’s what I do with all my favorites.

I got incredibly fortunate to snag this beauty recently for a crazy good price tag and full kit! The center aligned text on the dial of the Sub 5000T is so sweet as is the “ Seaconqueror ” text.

If I had to choose my top three favorite watches this would be in that most exclusive category along with my Christopher Ward and Steinhart DLC GMT. Doxa is a brand that I absolutely adore.

It’s funny I end up with a Searambler and Sharkhunter because I was at one time 100% certain I would be purchasing a Professional (Orange dial) and either an Aquamarine or Divingstar (yellow) dial. My Maranez Homage watches scratched that itch for the time being.

Stickman nice score. I just recently gifted my son (24) my 5000T Sharky COSC this Christmas. He had gotten himself into some big trouble in College with a partial ride for Oceanic engineering. Took him a couple years to turn things around with a carrier change. Currently working as a Cardio Vascular assistance in IVR / Cardiac Cath dept and is being trained for tech procedures for both. I also gifted my oldest daughter (22) my 1200 rambler who's an EMT-P working as a tech in the ER same hospital and has one more semester (Med Surg) to complete her transitional RN program with a guaranteed employment as an ER RN at current ER. Sorry to ramble on enjoy your Doxas Hray.

You have some damn lucky children to be gifted one of the coolest watches ever made on this planet. I think they will do well with their career choices. Those are “essential” and job security (excluding any terrible mistakes) is nearly guaranteed even during the worst of times. Congrats Hray! That’s not a rambling post at all, rather it’s one that brought a smile to my face. Cool

This is the first time I’ve damaged a watch bad enough to warrant a case replacement and I can say CW made the process totally painless. I had originally ordered my Chronograph with one of the #tide straps. Those straps are incredibly comfortable and quite easy on the eyes. They also have quick detach pushbars so you can swap the straps out with CW’s bracelet with ease.

Thanks for the offer, but CW responded to my email by sending me the needed link for FREE! Great service by those folks, just as you told me!!!

I'm surprised they didn't provide the additional links that can make up a full size bracelet. I"ve seen other brands that offer to size a bracelets and mention they'll include the links that were removed. Always nice to have if you decide to pass it on to someone with a larger wrist.

I appreciate the compliment. I have pretty big wrists and CW directs buyers to size them before ordering so the watch comes with the necessary links. Generally, I need an extra link with most any new watch, but (as indicated above) CW is kind enough to just ship me the necessary additional link for FREE, so I'm as pleased as can be!
