The trigger mechanism housing, and specifically, the ejector, will be the problem. Glock and Ruger trigger mechanism housings are not interchangeable, but if the Ruger TMH is like the Glock TMH, the ejector is replaceable. At a minimum, you will need the .40 ejector, which means buying a Glock .40/357 TMH, because I don't think Glock sells just the ejector.

Thank you. I won an auction for a complete Gen 3 G23 upper and all the lower parts, so I should be getting the ejector. I bought the RXM last week. Haven't shot it, yet, but love everything about it, so far.

You'll have to pull the ejector out of the TMH with a pair of pliers- ideally, in such a way as to not bend or mar the nose of the ejector.

I'm not a fan of the suppressor size sights. I just might go with replacing them with XS DXT Big Dot's in yellow instead.

Hand fed and ejected fine. Haven't changed the ejector or fired, yet.

Looks great. Let us know how it goes on the range?

Once you have the .40 ejector installed, you should check with Ruger to see if they will be selling the trigger mechanism housing as a separate part, and that way, you can switch between 9mm and .40 simply by switching the TMH.

.40 ejector and Hackathorn sights have been installed. To change the ejector, all it took was a set of pliers and I didn't have to remove the assembly from the grip. As far as a separate trigger mechanism housing, I want to see how the 9mm casings eject with the .40 ejector. Online research yielded that about the only problem would likely just be erratic ejection, which I can live with.

It may work to leave the .40 ejector for 9mm as well.

What you don't want to do is remove and replace the ejector repeatedly, because the TMH/ejector assembly is intended to be a single assembly, and switching out the ejector would result in wear of the polymer socket in the TMH.

I'm certain you know this already.

Yes. The plan is to just use the .40 ejector if 9mm functions with it. If it doesn't, then I'll be contacting Ruger to try to get a second TMH. I hope to get to the range this weekend.

I own a Glock 19 but never shot it that much because I didn't care for the grip angle. I handled the Ruger RXM in my LGS this morning and bought it.

I went to the range with 200 rounds of 115 gr. Winchester White Box and 20 rounds of 147 gr. Federal HST. The gun felt great and I was getting groups that were on par for my shooting ability. I had no problems with the Winchester rounds, but I had a failure to feed HST three out of four times when there was only one round left in the magazine. I only had the two factory mags with me and they both had the same behavior. Several times I removed the mag, reset the round, and reinserted the mag, but it wouldn't chamber the round. The lighting wasn't great, but it appeared that the bullet was getting stuck below the feed ramp.

The next time I go the the range I'll bring a factory Glock magazine to see if it makes a difference. The gun was brand new this morning and I cleaned the barrel before I went to the range. I'm not sure if additional cleaning and cycling a few hundred FMJ rounds through it will help it to break in. I hope it does because I really want to like this gun.

If you have the world famous Glock Tool all you have to do is use the bottom of the ejector housing and pry the ejector out. No need to bother w/ a pliers. Like Para said don’t do it a lot. This is/was the official Glock method of doing this kind of work as taught in Glock Armorer School. Just a suggestion.

Very cool. I just picked up a Springfield Echelon 9mm but this will be on my list. I’ll probably wait until I see my LGS selling one used to save even more on it but you really can’t beat this price new for an optic ready G19 clone with an improved trigger. Most of Ruger’s models are pretty awful looking but this one looks good. I’m sure they will sell a ton of them.

However, anyone else think it’s funny how they included the Stealth Grey grip from Magpul which doesn’t even match the black nitrite Ruger slide? This must have been part of the deal from Magpul so they would make some more money with anal retentive owners like myself going to their site and buying the matching black frame. Looks like it’s only $40 bucks so not a huge deal.

That, or considering that the popularity of Stealth/Wolf Gray is seriously waning compared to several years ago, perhaps Magpul is using it as a means to divest themselves of a surplus of gray polymer base.

(Lots of other manufactures have discontinued and clearanced out their gray gear over the past few years.)

It does indeed appear that Ruger is already selling replacement parts with the trigger housing coming in at $11. This is really exciting to see Ruger already have parts for sale.

I bought the first one my dealer obtained and have 280 rounds fired. The only issue I have is that my support hand causes slide lock prematurely. A video I watched, the slide stop lever spring was changed with a Glock spring which was stronger.

Interesting that they are selling the Trigger Housing and the Ejector as separate parts.

Also, they are selling the Trigger, Trigger Blade and the Trigger Bar as separate parts.

Definitely weird, but at least they aren’t price gouging for parts like many places. Those prices look pretty cheap all around.

That could be it. I just thought it was a bit ridiculous for Ruger to release a new model that doesn’t even match the slide to the frame, especially when Magpul is actually selling the matching black frame already!
