Those slides won't work with the narrower 9mm ejector.

So, how long until Magpul has the "Flux" chasis for the RXM?

For Central Florida folks, Florida Gun Exchange, north side of the Daytona metro-plex, has these for $399. Shoot Straight is showing them for $499, I don't know whether they price match.

At first I would've thought about how long it would take Flux to have a Raider for the Ruger. But something tells me that Magpul/Ruger might very well have some sort of patent pending on how the trigger group slots into the rear of the grip module.

Fingered one at lgs, on the shelf at $429. I like the gun and the sights. The one thing I don't like is the cutout in the palm area of the grip to strip the mag. On a 19 size frame, I want that extra bit to hold onto.

I have a few SIGs.

$399 at Bud's but I'm kinda boycotting Bud's, at least temporarily. They take forever to ship their guns. IMO, unless it's on their fast track list (which has nothing I'd want).

I didn't check PSA since I'm not in the market for a 19 sized gun, but would certainly consider a thin frame (43, 43x, and 48, if they decide to make one.

Failing that, when they market an already set up 26 size, I "might" be a buyer.

I dislike all the spam I get from Buds. It's like the hydra, I block one address and up pops three more.

Back on topic - $400 is making this very tempting for me. I was thinking of trying a Beretta PX4, but those are twice as much. Hmm.

An issue has arisen with premature slide lock when using Glock gen5 magazines, if pressure is applied to the base of the magazine during firing. This is in the comments of the video posted below.
quote:
This, average marksman and others have reported issues with Gen 5 Glock mags and it causing premature slide lock. I haven't fired mine but with some pressure on the base of my Glock mags it will push the slide lock lever up. It appears that shaving like 1/4mm off the back of the part that interfaces with the follower should resolve the issue.
As a respondent to this comment mentioned, this is likely an easy fix for Ruger, once they become aware of the issue via shooter feedback, although it seems to me that this is something which should have been caught during pre-production testing.

8400 rounds through the pistol in one session, with only dunking in water to cool it off. I don't know if I'd call that a torture test. A Glock will, of course, perform just as well, but I think it shows that the RXM is not deficient as a Glock clone.

Oh Yeah! It definitely needs the black frame! Installed and looks better than the gray. Just my opinion.

Hell, (@2:30) it even shoots up the left half of the bulls-eye. That's authentic Glock. Wink

Just installed the Tango Down Vickers Tactical Slide Racker (GSR-03) to my RXM.
Fits like a glove and the older hands appreciate the added leverage.

We had the first one come through the shop. Feels like a Glock but initially doesn't point well for me; its upright grip presents the muzzle low, exposing about half of the elevated front sight. I wasn't all that impressed by the trigger; use it like a duty gun and it breaks clean enough, but when staging the trigger it's still plenty mushy with a boatload of grainy creep...just like a Gen4 Glock. It's probably something that can be cleaned up courtesy of running a couple of cases of 124gr ammo. Or not. Internally it mostly resembles a Glock, save for the trigger chassis cage and the revisions for the rear trigger housing. Wasn't obvious to me as to the process of removing that rear housing from the chassis, but I only had a moment to study it before the gun went to the floor for display. It sold right away.

Picked one up two days ago. $399 plus tax local. Excellent.

About three weeks ago I decided to dip my toe into the Glock clone market. Bought a Grit Grips frame, and just finished collecting all the parts to put it together. Right about $400 total. So of course Ruger would come out with a better clone at the same price. My luck.

Love the sights. Wish the grip had more of an undercut. Machining and finish are excellent. Trigger is great, better than all of my G3 Glocks. I like the trigger shoe. Especially because the trigger safety sits flush when pressed.

I've often wondered what a "chassis" system Glock would look like. If I could pick one word to describe the way Ruger incorporated this - elegant. This is a Gen 3 Glock at heart (my favorite gen) but adaptable. I've swapped my G19 G3 slide onto this and vise versa. Fit and functioned perfectly.

I'm off for two weeks so I'm going to try to get to the range. I'll also try to get some pics with my G3, G4, and Grit Grips 19 build.

I think Ruger has a winner.

If Grip Grips ever sells a frame to accept the Ruger fire control insert ("FCI") I'm a buyer.

Well... I kinda wish I hadn't sold off my Gen 3 19 to a buddy earlier this year. It had the nice frying pan finish, would've been perfect for a frame swap with one of these.

ETA, I believe the Glock 19 Gen 3 is the 1911 of the new millennium. It's been there, done that, and got the t-shirt.

I really like the magazine release. Much easier than a stock G3 Glock. I install the Vickers mag catch on all of my G3's. I prefer the G4 and up, but as far as G3's go this is great. Love the trigger shoe. Flat face with a slight curve. And did I mention the dingus sits flush? Reminds me of the Beretta APX trigger shoe.

The trigger guard does rub my knuckle though. I have small hands (carnie hands, smell like cabbage) and the only Glocks that give me "Glock knuckle" are the Gen 4's without backstraps. My G4 19 kills me to shoot but my G3 19 is fine. Go figure. This grip hits me a bit, but we'll see what happens when rounds go down range. If you are listening Grit Grips, make a frame that accepts the Ruger FCI...

Again, love the sights. My favorite look. Night front, and plain black rear. I measured the front at .290, rear I need to pull off and measure because I couldn't get a good reading. The rear sides are slightly angled in, trapozoidal, and by gosh I love them. Ruger is selling the rear on their store and I can se me buying it and putting on my other Glocks.

Slide serrations are excellent. Barrel fit and finish are also great. Ruger does make good barrels.

I'm not a fan of Magpul Glock mages. Bought a few when they first came out. Never had issues, but for the cost I just buy OEM. There seems to be a lot of play in the grip with the magazines, but I tried a factory G19 mag and the play is the same.

Time will tell, but man, I like it. I hope they come out with a G17 frame (my favorite Glock Grip). The grey looks a lot darker in person, but I would like an OD or MCT frame (Magpul FDE is too light).

Does it have traditional rifling or polygonal?

So far I'm liking this, and am really excited about the potential. Honest Outlaw's comment about the grip angle being more "American" than the factory Glock pretty much sold me. The sights look great, I like the slide profile, and IMO the grip module looks better than a factory Glock frame, especially the trigger guard. The optics solution is worlds better than the MOS, too.

I don't need a G19 sized gun, though. I'm pretty heavily invested in the P320 at this point, and I have those bases covered. I have never warmed up to the P365, though, and if Ruger releases this in a G48/G43 form factor I'll be buying one. Same if they do the 10mms.
