FCU like Sig. Magpul furniture. Wonder if the grip angle will be like Sig or Glock? ------- Trying to simplify my life...

Don’t worry, in 6 months someone will make a 1911-angle metal grip for 550$ I love Ruger firearms, but their semi-auto pistols and PCCs are some of the ugliest guns, in my opinion of course. 10 years to retirement! Just waiting!

I like the concept here, and think it has potential. I doubt I'll be buying one as I have my defensive pistol needs covered, but I'm looking forward to seeing how this plays out. From what I can tell, they just took a Glock action and stuck it in a chassis, then put that chassis in a Magpul grip module (which actually looks pretty well made, IMO). If you are a Glock guy who wants P320-like modularity, this thing could be you answer, especially if the aftermarket takes off and offers the same variety of grip options that we currently have for the 320.

Looks like an FCU made out of Glock parts and a G19 upper. Seems they could offer different grip angles with different modules. My Glock clone has the same grip angle as the M&P, so it can be done. Wondering if they'll make an equivalent to the MP320.

That was my thought as well. Will be interesting to see what happens with this.

It seems like maybe Ruger is thinking of taking some of the best ideas around two of the best pistol designs (Glock and P320) and putting them into one thing. I hope it works. ___________________________________________ Life Member NRA & Washington Arms Collectors Mistake not my current state of joshing gentle peevishness for the awesome and terrible majesty of the towering seas of ire that are themselves the milquetoast shallows fringing my vast oceans of wrath. Glock magazines will not tolerate much variance in attitude, so, internally, the magazines will have to present cartridges at the same angle. This limits what can be done to the grip angle externally. ____________________________________________________ "I am your retribution." - Donald Trump, speech at CPAC, March 4, 2023

^^ This is true, but for me its.the backstrap of the Glock is the killer. I have a cut up custom Glock (well, several) by Dane Burns and two Shadow Systems and a Poly80. All allow me a much better grip w/trigger access than the original. All with OTM and Magpul mags working 100%. And my Stealth Arms Platypus is a dream too. While I have difficulty believing that Ruger and Magpul will make something, given the above, that I need, it would be nice to see if they can make something that I would want. And it looks like maybe they are. But given that this is, shall we say, the pre game warm up, I'll stay to watch but I'm not going to be the alpha tester. ___________________________________________ Life Member NRA & Washington Arms Collectors Mistake not my current state of joshing gentle peevishness for the awesome and terrible majesty of the towering seas of ire that are themselves the milquetoast shallows fringing my vast oceans of wrath. Although it’s hilariously unoriginal, Ruger makes a quality product and it’s nice to see them offer a “standard” semi-auto pistol rather than another one of their traditionally “budget” ones. Formerly known as tigerbloodwinning

^^^ I wonder if Magpul's GLOCK magazines are little more forgiving without the metal insert? As it is a Ruger it should work extremely well and has the potential to be an excellent HD choice at a good price - with the advantage of GLOCK parts. __________________________

But but, the trigger guard is round. Q

I'd be tempted to at least give one a try at that price. Glocks don't shoot well for me, compared to the comparable Sig, but the Dagger does. Will be keeping an eye out locally to see how it feels. The Enemy's gate is down.

I actually really like that, and the undercut under the trigger guard as well. Ergonomically, this thing looks better than a factory Glock already.

Yeah, I was given a horribly overstippled Gen2 frame. Sanded the crud down and decided to round the trigger guard much like the Ruger is shown. I liked it better, plus it didn't come with finger grooves.

Of all the things they could have made, a Glock clone was not what I was expecting. Talk about being late to the party.

I don't know; I kind of like that Gluger. "If Gun Control worked, Chicago would look like Mayberry, not Thunderdome" - Cam Edwards

I don't keep up with all the latest and greatest, so, a question. Who are the manufacturers that make pistols with removable FCU (as the firearm)? - SIG (P320 and P365) - Ruger (RXM) - Springfield (Echelon) - Who else? Q
