If I am on the same topic rhart, he was installing the same Novak sight on his Subcompact that I did a few days ago.

The adjustable rear sight in the marketing sheet was listed elsewhere as an option. I don't know if it available or is possibly from a Sphinx 2000 or 3000. Looking at the picture posted earlier, the sight doesn't seem to fill the dovetail, so it might only be a mock-up. MP

I was thinking he installed the same sight that you installed on two different guns - one on the sub and one on the SDP Compact. When I read your post where you had to shim the sight on your sub and his post where the sights were a little loose on one gun, but he didn't say on which gun, I became curious if maybe the dovetails were a little different on the sub.

I found a PDF copy of the same sheet and when I blew it up I could see the name on the sight - Champion. I searched for Champion sights and found them on a website out of New Zealand. I will continue to search to see if they are available in the states.

10x-Shooter- Have you had an opportunity to test your "Novak fix" and confirm that you can get your pistol to shoot to point of aim? As much as I like the workmanship (construction) of my first Sphinx, if it can't shoot where I'm aiming and doesn't have the basic ability to use night sights, it will be my last Sphinx. To define a pistol as being of "High Quality" suggests that it can serve its intended role (defensive purposes, competition, etc...). If it can't, it's little more than an attractive paperweight and I couldn't recommend it for any other use than that. On the Original CZ Forum it just got posted that CGW is no longer doing work on Sphinx pistols. I wonder what happened - I thought they were going to be the custom shop for Sphinx? They will still sell upgrade parts though.

A Word AboutMy Sphinx Subcompact Alpha Saga First of all, I’ll start out by stating the ‘conclusion’ of my saga first. As the saying goes, all's well that ends well. My little Sphinx is easily the most accurate subcompact handgun I’ve ever shot! So, the bottom line is that I’m VERY satisfied with my little Sphinx! However, it wasn’t exactly a smooth road to get to that point. I bought the Sphinx from our, ‘Mississippi Gal’, Donna Flanagan. As a well deserved plug for that lady, I want to honestly say that she is clearly the best vendor on the web that I’ve ever experienced! Quite frankly, without her constant assistance, I’m not sure that I would have received the prompt service from Kriss/Sphinx that (I think) a customer deserves. In all fairness to them though, they were, evidently, going through some personnel changes at the time my little Sphinx problem showed up. When I picked up the gun from the FFL, it looked just great! However, when I got it home and started disassembling it, I Easily noticed several cosmetic flaws that just shouldn’t be on a new gun of ‘supposedly’ fine quality. I contacted Donna right away and she requested that I send her some pictures of the problems areas. She contacted a Rep and started the ball rolling. Without going through the details of the situation, I will say that Kriss/Sphinx did fix all the issues. Also, the barrel came back looking quite a bit different from the brand new barrel that was in it before. The feed ramp was polished and it appears that a little ‘dremel’ work had been done to round out the sharp edge all around the chamber area. My first concern was that someone switched barrels on me. Then I figured that they ‘probably’ worked on the FTF issues I’d been reading about. Anyway, it was an extremely frustrating feeling to be so excited to buy a nice new toy and then, end up having to wait for over a month to play with it!! When I finally did get to shoot it, I put exactly 112 rounds through it without ANY problems at all! I can’t wait until I get it broken in! As I stated at the beginning, this little gun is easily the most accurate subcompact handgun I’ve ever shot. And the bottom line is, as frustrating as it is to have deal with this kind of stuff, Kriss/Sphinx DID take care of the situation. Will I ever buy another Sphinx? As soon as they start selling them with night sights, YES I will! :-)

Congrats on your new Sphinx. Could you tell me if your pistol shoots to point of aim (vertically) and if so, with what ammo? Also, (if it does shoot to POI) how many dots are on the top of your front sight blade? Thanks! To be honest about it, I 'think' so. However, due to a whole lot of reasons, I haven't been able to get back out and shoot it any more. If my old memory can recall, that(POA/POI) was 'one' of the reasons I liked it despite it not having night sights. Those rather cheap looking little sights worked well(for me anyway). My only dislike of a lot of my Sigs would have to be their combat style sights. I simply prefer the POA/POI type. Anyway, the top of the front sight has 4 dots on it. Do those 4 dots have any significance? If so, what would it be?

Sorry! I neglected to say what ammo I used! Most of it was Speer Lawman 124gr. Then a couple mags of Federal XMP001 115gr. And I finished up with a couple mags of Underwood 124gr jhp. And, it was as smooth as butter!

It's just a suggestion folks but, IF you really would like to get the attention of the Sphinx co., they are on Facebook. Why not go there to make your complaints/comments? I'd be willing to bet that your opinions would get a LOT more attention from Sphinx.

Its just an educated guess, but I believe the dots may signify the heights of the blades in the same manner that numbers on Sig sights do. I guess we'll just have to wait for confirmation. Willy, Sphinx does monitor this forum and Sphinx threads and has also been directly contacted by some forum members. I am sure they know the frustration some of us feel about the absence of the promised night sights. Hopefully, they are as frustrated and will get things resolved. It would be nice to at least get some informed feedback from them. MP

Mus, et al: I have been on my contact at Sphinx about this for months. The latest info he has about the Halos is the same thing we all know already. A week ago I hit him up about this again, made a big deal about it for you guys (and me), and there was a recent trade show where they were going to talk to some sight mfr(s) about getting this done. I do not know if that means Mepro, Trij, or whomever. No idea. I only know that Kriss knows the level of frustration and are reaching out to other co's. I have never had a Fakebook login and likely never will but I'd start peppering the following address if you have access to the book of Faces. https://www.facebook.com/defianceopscom/ I have resorted to carrying a flashlight everywhere until this gets sorted. My Sphinx pair of CCW's (compact and subcompact) as well as my other owb handgun (Black Rhino) don't have NS or have options for NS presently so that's how I'm rolling for the time being. My level of frustration isn't nearly as high as what I've read on here because I know they are a small company (Sphinx/Kriss) comparatively, really small, and I haven't owned my set of SDP's for a year yet. I'll hit a year in February since my first purchase and at that point, it's Pete Tong time if nothing is present. If you are impatient and need them now I have reached out to Tool Tech. http://www.tooltechgunsight.com/ And contact Kristen Gingell. They will install tritium into your factory NS for $185.00. $18.00 return shipping charge if you mail the slide in, $12.00 return shipping if you mail the sights in. Best I can do for you guys. I have tried, and have been on this for most of the year pushing and pushing. The tooltech option is something I did myself, and figured out, after an awful lot of research. Emailed tundra when I figured this out but didn't post it on the forum, because due the price, didn't think there would be much interest. I am tempted to mail in one of my subcompact slides to have it done but so far I've been hesitant because I don't want to go to the trouble only to have a real NS option shortly after. What am I doing? I'm talking to an empty telephone
