Great, after waiting a couple of months to get them to send me a box to send back my MCX carrier and return the new one, now I get to be without my P320 for a couple of months. Tell me again why Sig is so great? When the pistols were made in Germany, I don't remember all these problems or any recalls.

I guess while I'm waiting for my P320, I'll go back to my HK VP9.

While I wasn't the poster of that FB post, I forgot to add to my original post that the CS rep told me the same thing.

Good to know sir. Did you happen to ask about aftermarket sights. Just want to make sure I get my suppressor sights back.

I did. He said sights were of no concern, leave whatever you have on there. If my sights were really important to me though, I might remove them first.

Remove it or lose it.

Thanks. It was in plain English and needed no translation, but a valiant effort, anyway.

Yes, we all know "can't" means "won't" in attorney speak. I was simply taking a shot at the SIG legal department. I'm a firm believer in saying exactly what you mean, and meaning exactly what you say. Since the question was asked several times in this thread alone, it must be on folk's minds. SIG could have avoided the confusion by simply stating "no aftermarket parts will be returned".

Thanks for all the replies on my question about my after market APEX trigger. I'll just remove it and send the gun in without a trigger or maybe I'll include the OEM trigger but not reinstalled. That way there will not be any need or hassle to wrestle with that pesky trigger spring again.

I guess while I'm waiting for my P320, I'll go back to my HK VP9.

Since I didn't copy the original Sig release, I'm going from memory.

The return process is registration with Sig first. Sig will then at some point contact the owner, provide the ship date and label. IIRC, turnaround time was estimated at around a couple or three weeks AFTER registration and ship date.

It's an orderly process. It's NOT a kluge where everybody sends in pistols at the same time and then waits as Sig runs through the pile. In other words, they will match their resources with scheduled returns of P320's. I'm not vouching for how efficient the process will be. But that's their current intent.

Nobody will be without their P320 for months. If I send mine in, I'll be shooting it until it's shipped. I can easily survive for three weeks without a P320.

Unfortunately, The Incredible Disappearing Sig Voluntary Upgrade Web page disappeared today after three hours. For those that caught it, it answers nearly all the questions posed in this thread.

Some slow mos from the latest Omaha video showing how tabbed triggers help with some of these other striker fired guns.

Just got off the phone w/ SIG.

For you anal types...like me...if you were able to input your serial number this morning before the page went down your info HAS been saved.

I was assured that they have it and it wasn't lost.

FWIW.

Very cool animations. I've never really understood how the M&P style hinged trigger works. I get the glock style tabbed trigger, but I don't understand how the simple hinge can prevent inertial firing.

I think Omaha concentrated on striker-fired guns (and his 1911) because the compare directly to the P320 and are more common (?).

Ernest Langdon dropped his pimped 92G with no issues. Hammer dropped to half cock a couple of times when dropped cocked for SA, but that's as designed (as I understand it).

Website is back up and it's on the homepage now. Two of my P320 have LE serial numbers, but I'm a civilian. So don't know how it's going to pan out but I can't register them yet.

Thanks for the link. Bookmarked it, and will register mine a few weeks from now to allow the rush to pass.

It pretty much just says sit and wait. Maybe I'll get faster processing since they are LE serial numbers.

The web page states that all serial numbers are affected.

Yes but if it is a LEO gun or one purchased through the IOP, they have a different plan for them, apparently anyway. I would hope that those would get done first, but I'm not so sure.
