But you'll never admit it. You'll live a closeted life and die a bitter old man.

It doesn't have to be like that, y'know. Just own up and be free.

LMAO!!!! this is so true, I was a glock hater for a while, (out of ignorance I guess) then I bought a glock 30 and I been hooked ever since, I love the dark side!!!!!!!!!

Yes. They actually polished one, to a very high gloss, on MythBusters (Discovery Channel). Wink

My Glock 21 is getting ordered in two weeks. My new dealer has never sold me a pistol yet but, after 9 months of gun transfers, it's about time for me to buy something from the man.Really wanted the OD frame 21 but am just as pleased with the black piece. Have procured 4 pre ban magazines and just anchored another 4 ten round. The gun should have two ten round mags with it.

Interesting is a piece I fondled last week at his Gun Shop. IIRC is the Glock 23, a mid sized pistol in .40 S&W. I thought it to be cool as heck for a carry piece. Not a small as those lil models. Just handy!

The 21 SF will be my first Glock and I fully expect to have fun with learning it and want it to become my home defense gun. Now I just need to overcome the lack of night sights. Its getting night sights some how.

When this thread started, I owned no Glocks. Now I have a G20SF and a G19, and the G19 is now my EDC.

Back the truck up to the dock, I'll soon be buying oranges by the bushel. Wink Que up the G26.

Ha ha, post count 1911! Last post by sigcrazy7.

I will be buying only Glock auto pistols in the future, they shoot well for me, mags are inexpensive vs others and that will leave me the same operating system.

Though I really enjoy my Sig 220R and HK USP 45f! I'd them both more if mags weren't twice the cost of Glocks! I need to convert both to DAK or similar so the DA/SA doesn't trip me up after the Glocks.

I think this is my favorite thread ever on the whole forum.

When it started I was one of the "No f-ing way!" crowd. Now my EDC is a G33 and my house gun is a G26. I love them both.

I have a G19 and G26. Thought this would be all I need. Now I feel the pull of a G27 along with a .357 barrel. Will it never end....

Can't say that I trust my Glocks more than any other gun that I have, BUT... I can say that I do not trust my Sigs or HKs MORE than my Glocks.
There is a reason my G26 is my EDC (well, that or my Kahr)

Picked up my first Glock after 20 years of going to gun shops (started later than some at the tender age of 21). Damm thing was pointing at the ceiling! How am I to shoot anything with it? Guess I won't be getting one soon..

If you don't know how to align a pistol, you shouldn't be handling one, and if you shouldn't be handling pistols, maybe you shouldn't be handling any firearms.

Maybe try...knitting? Knitting is a soothing pastime, or so I hear.

I have a number of Sigs (2-239s/9mm and .357-40; a neat two tone 232 with Hogue wood grips; and an original 1989 era 228/made in W. Germany) and have had others all very nice.

Traded a troublesome rifle back in at a local gun shop last year for my first Glock, a G-19. Just wanted to try one out and see what all the fuss is about.

This gun was flawless right out of the box. Accurate, nice trigger pull and WORKED.

Recently I qualified for my nation wide retired LEO carry permit and used the G-19. I did not want to worry about decocking and did not have a holster as was required for the test.

Shot very well and qualified the first time through (retired over 20 years ago and did not want any "range" pressure),.

Really liked the way the G-19 handled and it is a great companion for my G-36 (posted earlier about this .45). I trust both these Glocks just as much as I trust my beloved Sigs.

I am certainly am not giving up on Sigs and this may actually be the only Glocks that I will own. My next carry gun that I want to try out will be a P290 when they become available.

Just some thoughts,

Trooper Joe

Heh-heh. Welcome, Trooper Joe. Retired cop here too. I came to Glocks late in life and now qualify with a G26. Shoot 100 percent too, although it might be less than that if, one day, my blindfold slipped and I get a chance to see what I'm shooting at. Man, I'm used to shooting at 25 and 50 yards! This retirement qualification is eeeasy. Oh, well, they figger we ought not to be shooting at anyone anyway unless they're shooting at us, so maybe they know something we don't. Thanks for your service.

To paraphrase Will Rogers, I never met a gun I didn't like. Some guns I like more than others, (Glocks, Sigs, Colt 1911s, Smith Mod. 60 SS Chief Special, the original Smith .357) but all guns that have been cared for and work like they're supposed to are good.
