Now that I'm so comfy with my G19 I want a G32...been seeing a lot of 357sig and .40 ammo around compared to my beloved .45...Ammo availability sure matters!

Yep. Just happened to me. Glock 26. I might be converted to the "dark side" since I'm already planning my next Glock purchase...

Owned a G30 when they first came out and decided to sell it later since I really didn't like the trigger and all the ugly that comes at no extra charge........years later, however....I bought a G26 and loved it, which lead me to a G17 which I love, which is leading me to most likely a G19 this week. I dig all the magazines working in each of the models and really think the 9mm Glocks really are great pieces.

So they are ugly as hell, still kind of have crappy triggers although they have grown on me and don't come with fancy back straps etc. But damn if they are not dead nuts reliable, durable as hell, inexpensive, and can survive some serious abuse.

In all seriousness my only complaints about Glocks these days are that I don't care for the pull trigger to dis-assemble routine and I do think the relatively light trigger and lack of external safety (that trigger penis doesn't count)needs to be respected. Those two things make them more of experienced user guns instead of newbie pieces IMO.

At any rate long story short..........no matter how much you hate them, no matter how ugly they are..............you will own a Glock, you won't be proud of it and you may hide it under your porn collection but you will own one and you will secretly come to like it.......and you will feel dirty for it. Big Grin

I saw a second hand Gen 2 G17 for a decent price but I would rather have a G19, and that one was not at a good price. Maybe I will find my G19, or that lonely old G17 will grow on me.

I have a G19 & G33 and I do not have to "Pull the trigger" to disassemble?

Hey John... Glad to see you got the G19. Good deal!

PS: That trigger is supposed to be in the rear position before you strip off the slide. Are you hearing some nasty crunching sound, and some hanging up when you take your slide off? Just wondering.

Thanks, I got it locally, great pistol!

I pull the trigger (unloaded of course) to fire the pistol, pull the slide back just a tiny bit, push down on the release, and off they come smooth as silk. No noise.

I replaced my MEPs on my G19 with some Warren Tactical carry sights. Plain rear w/ tritium front. I may karma the MEPS out, still thinking about it. They are about 3 years old. No other reason, but to put this back at the top and another "view".... Big Grin

I have been considering the same sights, what is your opinion of the Warren's?
Thanks.

Yes, I misunderstood his meaning, I was thinking he meant that you have to hold the trigger back while disassembling. Damn senior moments! Eek

Awesome.....I like them better than the MEPs. My eye go straight to the front dot. With the plain rear sights it's easier to shoot at speed for me.

In the case of the NY trigger spring most often you do have to hold back the trigger inorder to remove the slide. Not so with the standord coil trigger spring.

Hey, am I nuts? I like the looks of Glocks and do have pride in owning them-lol. Bill

HK, Glock, Walther and SIG are my choice in handguns.
Weapon Shield CLP for all pistol care.

No... you're not nuts. I like the looks, too. I think they're all business, sharp looking pistols. No bling, no pink grips. Big Grin

Yes, I meant the trigger needs to be in the rear position in order to dis-assemble, which requires one to pull the trigger/dry fire the firearm and then subsequently remove the slide/field strip.

I did not mean hold the trigger while dis-assembling.

Yes, these damn senior moments are happening way too frequently.

I love my 19 Smile

You guys think I should buy a 32/33 or 36 next?

I tend to think the .357 Sig out of that short G33 barrel is maybe a waste, with a whole lot of muzzle blast. Maybe the 26/27 are the better choices in a baby Glock?

One day I'll grab a G19 and a G20SF to replace the G20 I sold. I have no shame.

It took me 58 pages to respond to this thread. Either that, or I already responded and then forgot.

Trust me, you don't need to be a Sr. to have a Sr. moment, I should know. Big Grin

Well I did it. I went to the local fun show to add some night sights to my G17 and damn if I didn't come home with a green G19 that I had been wanting for a while. So that makes three.
