Been shooting the heck out of my G41 and G26 lately..... I think my next Glock is a G42...but ONLY if I could pocket carry it. Not willing to stoop as low as the .380 caliber, unless it is carried ONLY when I otherwise wouldn't carry a gun (weddings, certain dinner parties, work meetings, etc..) so pocket carry would be a must. Anyone pulling off pocket carry with a G42? Tomorrow’s battle is won during today’s practice. - Samurai maxim

No I will not buy a Glock. Shot one for the second time in my life last week. Not impressed. I own multiple HK's, SIG's and 1911's. So why would I possibly want to buy a Glock?

No one gives a shit. If you can't discern the tone of this thread, you shouldn't be posting in it. Buy whatever you want. Don't buy whatever you don't want. No one cares. Next?

Replace the factory guide rod/spring on my 34 Gen 4 with a Jager steel guide rod/ISMI 13 lb spring. Have 4K rds on it, no problems. Will pick up a G19 soon, do the same change. I'll try a 13lb and 15lb recoil spring in it.

With my 5'8" frame I can pocket carry a G43 (5-pocket jeans front pocket, with a Kershaw Blur riding in the fifth 'watch' pocket) . Did it for a day recently, using a DeSantis Super Fly holster. Amazed me that I could actually pull it off without too much annoyance. However with also a G23 in the 5:00 position (since I'm still working on the trustworthiness of the 9mm) the setup in its entirety was bulky.

I've purchased 4 brand new Glocks in my lifetime. I sold them all because I just didn't shoot them often enough. Now I'm looking to buy another one and I don't know why but I am. ______________________ Semper Fi

I feel my G42 is too big for true practical pocket carry. I only bought my G42 for my wife. Pocket carry (for me) is to be able to put a pistol in a pocket holster in a rear jeans pocket and be totally concealed without a untucked cover shirt. I've pocket carried a Ruger LCP in a front or rear jeans as well as shorts pockets for several years. But now have a Kahr CW380 for that purpose. I feel even my Kahr CM9 is a tad too large for pocket carry. If you're willing to step down to a 380, I'd go for the Kahr.. Just my thoughts on it.

I pocket carried a Kahr PM9 for years in my right front pocket using a Desantis Nemesis holster. I put my iphone between the jeans and the gun and find it completely breaks up the outline of the gun and forms a channel that forces my hand right to the gun when I reach for it. Before the G43 came out, I purchased a G42 and pocket carried it for a while but then switched back to the Kahr because I couldn't warm up to a .380. When the G43 came out it's all I've carried using the same holster type and methodology. In 5.11, dockers slacks, suit pants, and most brand of jeans that I carry the G43 fits perfectly without any problem. I should mention that I wear I size 34 in pants/jeans. Back when I was a size 30-32 I probably couldn't pull it off. Drinking beer and hitting my 30's has helped me fit a better gun in my pockets When I buy a new brand of jeans I always make sure that I try my gun/holster combo in the fitting room before buying and I've come to realize what brands work and which don;t for my preferred carry setup. Most work, very few don't.

Listen, if you were born without a sense of humor, that's your problem, not mine. Change the title? No, get out of my thread. Don't post again in this thread. Don't even open it. There, problem solved, unless you're simply bound and determined to have a problem, in which case I will surely accommodate you.

Just mobilize it |
I was just able to pocket carry mine the other day. Bulged a bit more than my LCP, but was doable. BTW I wear a relaxed fit by not baggy jean by any means. They are Lucky brand and have pretty generous pockets. Haven't tried it with my GAP jeans yet

I would think you would know better since you've made it from 2005 until now but looking at your post count......maybe not.

Thanks for the replies and pics and feedback on pocket carrying the G42. I think I'll stick with a j-frame for pocket.... Tomorrow’s battle is won during today’s practice. - Samurai maxim

Actually Mr. Para is being very tolerant. A couple of fair warnings (deservedly issued when someone steps on a somewhat lighthearted thread) and I think it was understood so we all move on.This message has been edited.
