Yes, he's still around USN regularly. UTSig, if you're still around USN (maybe a different name?) I'm over there with the same forum name as here.

You must have quite an impressive collection when all your knives are together. The officials there do not mind?

To ChuckFinley,
collection as such do not have. Knives in constant rotation, except for the 5-6 favorite, and especially the time-tested.

Got it wicked sharp with a Edge Pro/Chosera stones to 10K, then stropped. Look forward to breaking it in, it's a little stiff.

I like the 7 allot, just a tad big for me for an EDC, next one I get will be a mini 7 my mini a-100 is whats in pocket mostly.... unless I'm heading anywhere close to the French Quarter them its usually my OBS folder thats waved

Hello,

New to the forum, old friend of the blade....

Forgive me if this has been posted before, I did do a quick check to see if it had. In an earlier post in this thread, there is a pic with a few Emerson's in it. Of particular interest is one labeled "blue moon". Could someone elaborate on this particular variant? Was it some hot one off/limited run? And for the question I probably already know the answer to, is there a lefty? I'll hang up and listen... thanks.

Welcome!

That I am aware of there is one Blue Moon Gypsy Jack. It's owned by a fellow up in the northeast.

When you get into the full dress models (similar to the Blue Moon but more expensive) a number of those aren't tapped for either side so it doesn't matter. The opening characteristics of the Gypsy Jack can render handedness rather moot. If you handle one and experiment a bit I expect you'll find out what I mean. You probably already know that there are a number of dedicated left handed knives for sale on the EKI website. They can also switch the tap for you on others, though you'll want a larger thumbdisc on those.

Emerson has released the Gypsy Jack in the BT finish. it is for sale on the web page. As these are likely the last of this blade this is a don't miss item. Play with it and you'll see why this is funky but special blade.
