I've completely stopped watching any network news. I get my news from a network around the country, typicality people who have seen it first hand (this is one source). I will look at one local news site or anything interesting locally and OANN online. That's it. I'll keep closer tabs on local issues, national issues when they bubble-up I'll source info from outlets like The Hill's Rising and, Breaking Points otherwise, I've largely kept away from the majority of 'news' sources. With many friends working in the military and gov worldwide, I can turn to them for ground truth and perspective. I stopped following the 'news' as early as 2003-4 when it became obvious that editors and content directors were willfully working to make Pres Bush and his team look bad during the GWOT, meanwhile the local press worked hard to tie local issue with national issues ratcheting up the emotions. Since that time, its been continued confirmation of my suspicions, from the fawning and genuflecting of the Obama-admin, the full fourth estate activism efforts and linguistic games during Trump's admin, and the absolute endorsement and covering for Biden.

Yes, I have, and at the same time. I, also, have no plans to watch or read any of it ever again. "America is at that awkward stage. Local news is all I can take. I quit in December but relapsed Jan. 6th, that’s when I went bonkers. I do just fine getting the skinny right here.

I've lost track of time, but I haven't watched "the news" (or read "the news") in 10-12 YEARS. Fairly soon into the Krimson Kenyan's Reign of Terror. "If you’re a leader, you lead the way. I stopped watching the news years ago, made an exception when I got up the morning Trump was elected and I wanted to see liberal tears. I do have DirecTV and I watch it, but only movies and a couple of other selected programs.

Stopped actively watching the news in Nov. ‘20. Spending time watching several British series with the wife, and the Astros during season. Hard to avoid hearing about tragedies, but I don’t miss the news at all.

Serenity now! |
It's weird - just last night I mentioned to my wife how weird it is that some people still watch the news. It used to be part of our nightly routine, but we gave it up about 15 years ago. Don't miss it at all. We now get our news from sources we trust. Ladies and gentlemen, take my advice - pull down your pants and slide on the ice. ʘ ͜ʖ ʘ

I don’t have TV, so haven’t “watched” news for decades. I did open the DailyMail site daily until Biden was installed, but I’ve seldom viewed it since. And I seem to get on just fine without it. Serious about crackers

It has been several years now since I stopped watching news. I sometimes feel like I may have missed some of the local events, but I'm genuinely a happier person. I've always had a positive disposition, but since not watching the 'news' I enjoy a new attitude. My other observation is that I can now distinctly tell someone who spends way too much time watching 'news'. Go online and do your own research on topics that interest you, but always be wary of the source. Cheers~

Since the election I have cut wayyyy back on FOX. Might catch Tucker, but that's pretty much it. And I don't usually watch the entire program. I feel like an idiot having spent so much time invested in the political news of the day, only to find the joke's on me. Local news? Nope. Don't watch it. All leftist BS.

Previous to Nov. 4th I watched FOX News everyday. Since Nov. 4th, I have stopped watching broadcast news altogether. All my news now is strictly from various internet sites. “We’re in a situation where we have put together, and you guys did it for our administration…President Obama’s administration before this. We have put together, I think, the most extensive and inclusive voter fraud organization in the history of American politics,” Pres. Yep, same here. I refuse to watch any cable news networks. The lying is so out of control it's pathetic. I do occasionally have the local news on when I get up early in the morning, with the sound off while I'm drinking my coffee. If I can glance up and see traffic or weather I'll turn the sound on but that's about it. If I see something on The Internet regarding a disaster sometimes I turn the local news on to get a little coverage, but that's really about it these days. My wife still likes the five, and Tucker, and the standing rules in the house if I am anywhere within earshot of that crap you better change the channel.

Yes. I used to be dopamine junkie. Fox News every night. Would DVR and watch Glen Beck/O'Reilly/Tucker. I never was a regular watcher of the network nightly news. Generational gap probably. My parents still watch ABC/NBC/CBS news every night. If I stay there I literally have to find something else to do, because it makes me angry to watch. Then I cancelled cable, and my life got better. Seriously. I still read various sources on the web to get my fix, but I try to keep it more balanced. I watch a lot of Netflix, Prime, and Youtube. Zero "news" programs. _________________________ You do NOT have the right to never be offended.

I stopped watching the 10:00 P.M. TV news right after the election. The only things they were saying was (1) Anti-Trump (2) Pro Biden and (3) Wu Flu! I tried to turn on the 10:15 P.M. weather, but I gave up on that also. You know, I don't think that I have missed any thing of any importance, and I feel better about not watching.

We are having a Tropical Storm with 70mph winds (only 5 mph difference from a hurricane Cat 1) so we have weather on. Otherwise we very, very rarely watch anything on TV except old western movies, a few old war movies, some Bogarts and similar oldies and, since we really dislike commercials, all are recorded so we can fast forward and miss them. My wife was watching some Brit shows, Midsummer Murders for a while. So no news except the weather and that just 'cause we're having a storm. No Fox, though I check their website. Certainly no MSNBC or any others. Bob

I haven't watched TV for 15, or so years. Made up news and slanted shows got to be too much. I've been much happier since. I try to keep up with things by hanging out here, and I also read Instapundit. That works for me.

Not entirely. I'd watch if a major event happens, not sure if I have in 2021 yet. I do watch CNN 5 seconds at a time.when I walk in or out buildings at work, not sure.if that counts. If all the news I ingested was CNN passing though the lobby I'd be terrified that the white supremacists were coming to kill everyone, LGBTs were getting beaten in the streets, and we are seconds away from an insurection. I have not watched TV news on a regular basis in years. The only time I do it, is during hurricane season and only for the weather. We are currently in hurricane situation now and I find myself going to Mikes weather page on the internet mostly. I found the NewsMax website recently and go there from time to time.
