If you can judge a man by his enemies- Trump looks better everyday. Fuck them all- I want a brash, arrogant, swaggering American fighting for America.

That is the case far more often than it isn't. Most people will strongarm the other side and subvert the Constitution to get what they want, but howl bloody murder when the other side does it. It is hard to be principled and accept when the rules don't go your way. The fish is mute, expressionless. The fish doesn't think because the fish knows everything.

I think the reason why Trump gets a pass on contradictory statements is that as a businessman he has zero record of political action. We are used to looking to the actions of politicians more than their words because most will say anything. He is truly a wild-card. Would he actually do half the stuff he says and how? Would he rule via executive order like Obama or be the best deal-maker ever with Congress? We don't know... I have no doubt he would get things done and build a wall, but how is the question. With a Republican Congress, I assume it would be with them, he would have no reason not to. “People have to really suffer before they can risk doing what they love.” –Chuck Palahnuik Be harder to kill: https://preparefit.ck.page

If I have to choose someone that is going to "strong-arm" this country, I'd rather it be someone who loves America, has a little business sense, & is not a whacked out liberal. Trump meets at least 2 of that criteria. Obama/Clinton/Bernie want to strong-arm, & they hate America, have no business sense, & are fruitcake liberals. Trump only looks attractive because of the shitty competition.

I think the republican competition is pretty good this year. For me, they all look better than Trump, who seems to have modeled his personality off of Biff (the bully on the movie Back To The Future). I'm glad Trump brought forth the issues of immigration and Refugees, he's on the money on both, but I don't see that as a reason to vote Biff into office.

I thought Trump crossed a line last week, but he just Tweeted a photo of a balding Ted Cruz with a caption of, "I am an untrustworthy person, I took loans from Wall Street and lied about it. I was in cahoots with Wall Street, also Trump was also right I am a Canadian Citizen and banker!". Is he trying to lose conservative voters? https://pbs.twimg.com/media/CZP34iKWYAAdGPP.jpg

I think more of Trump as an Executive that knows how to get something done rather than "Biff". If you need a "hug" the there are better choices. If you want to accomplish something then Trump is close if not at the top of that list.

Plowing straight ahead come what may |
I'm already hearing family members whine about if they can/will vote for Trump if he receives the Republican nomination...they "just don't think he will be able to work with Congress"...they "find him abrasive"...He's "too extreme" or my favorite (it covers EVERYTHING) "there is something about him I don't like"... They are hinting about "setting this election out" since Huckabee is not going to get the nod as the nominee (a couple of them did this in 2014 because they could not bring themselves as Southern Baptists to vote for Romney)... So I made them this meme and sent it to each and every one and posted on Facebook along with a reminder about how this type of thinking contributed to the last 4-8 years... It pretty much sums it up... ******************************************************** "we've gotta roll with the punches, learn to play all of our hunches Making the best of what ever comes our way Forget that blind ambition and learn to trust your intuition Plowing straight ahead come what may And theres a cowboy in the jungle" Jimmy Buffet

I have to disagree with you. The only Republican competition is Cruz. Kasich, ¡Yeb!, Graham, Krispy Kreme, Rubio, Santorum, & Gilmore are all big .gov loving, slimey career politicians. Ben Carson is brilliant, & Fiorina ain't all bad, but neither are Presidential material. Don't confuse "alot of choices" with "good choices". Immigration (most importantly illegal) & Refugees (mostly jihadi-loving muzzies) are the most important issues to alot of Americans, & nobody has said dick about it, except Trump. For that reason alone I will vote for him. The massive influx of 3rd World people will change our country very negatively, very fast, if not checked, IMHO.

Jim Gilmore was a hell of a good Governor of Virginia, and before that a fantastic Attorney General. I have nothing but admiration for him. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jim_Gilmore _________________________ "Sometimes I wonder whether the world is being run by smart people who are putting us on or by imbeciles who really mean it." I am a little nervous about Trump. I expect that unless he drastically steps on his crank he is THE candidate most likely to beat the hildabeast or whoever the Democrats nominate. I like a lot of what he says (though I'd like it better if he was talking about getting .gov the hell out of healthcare where it doesn't belong and taking a chainsaw to the bureaucracy in general.). I guess I just worry that a) he might be just telling us what we want to hear and / or b) although he may want and try to do all this wonderful stuff he may not be able to. This seems kinda scary when sometimes it feels like Trump is the last chance for this country. Of course, the vast majority of the rest of them are politicians so we know for a fact that they are only telling us what they think we want to hear and they will do what best suits them when they get in office. At the end of the day, I guess it is nice to finally be voting FOR someone, something that hasn't happened since Reagan. I am so tired of voting for someone because he appeared to be the least awfully. Hopefully President Trump will turn out to be everything we hope and more.

But will Mexico pay for it? If he gets elected, I think there will be more wall than there is now, but nothing like the full length wall that he is suggesting he will build. But there is no doubt it will be gilded and be called the Trump Wall, and he will tell us it is the most spectacular wall the world has ever seen. The fish is mute, expressionless. The fish doesn't think because the fish knows everything.
