I had a discussion with my brother in law the other day. He is a Democrat but has voted Republican in the past when so inclined.

He told me that he is voting for Trump because every other candidate, Democratic or Republican, is a politician and he is tired of that "Bullshit".

I think alot of people feel the same way.

Then why did he say it that way? Why didn't he come out and say "I'm going to lower the corporate tax rate and in conjunction we're going to cut government spending".

Because he is playing you all, he has no substantive plan. Trump is a billionaire, a reality TV star, a mega-celebrity, and now some dizzy dingdong endorsed him to validate her own shortcomings.

That said, if this first-rate ass clown is the GOP nominee I'll vote for him.

There is a lot of talk about Trump pulling as much as 20% of the dems vote. If he can grab a portion of the black vote as well, remember those 100 black ministers?

I do believe the lack of trust for hilibeast is playing into the moderate dems moving.

don't really care why, as long as we can nominate the next couple SC justices

I know huh. The (L) is a no-go for me b/c they have no chance and I FUCKING HATE communists so the (D) is out too.

I'm hoping Trump comes up with something in the next few months. I am hoping Trump is smart enough to recognize his weaknesses and build a cabinet that will help him.

Not like pResident BedWetter and his sycophant cabinet.

Trump is playing us because he just wants to board the money train, like all the other politicians. --Oh, wait.

Okay, he is playing us because he has a huge ego and wants to be a mega-cel.... Okay, never mind that.

He is playing us because he wants to see his face plastered around on tv.... Okay, okay. Not that.

He is playing us because uh... because I just don't like the prick. He's playing us because I say he's playing us. End of story.

It's easier to negotiate down, rather than up. He wants the Moon, so he demands the stars.

The importance of SC justices cannot be stressed enough, the next president will get to appoint at least 3 I think, 1/3 of the court.

What kind of justices will Trump nominate? Do you trust Trump to nominate pro-constitution, pro-liberty, pro-gun justices?

I think Trump will do what expediency compels him to do. It will become our job to move expediency toward conservatism. This would be a lot easier if I knew he was a principled conservative. I'll have to wait and see what he does.

more so than hildabeast or god forbid bernie

I like cruz....really do but he scares half the cattle and the other half don't understand him.

obama proved what many of us knew already....with the american idol generation it takes more than just great ideas to win. And remember 49% of the country is on some type of government support, you cannot win by telling half the country we will cut your benefits....but if you wrap it in

'Merica....fuck yea we're great and they suck

you can get into office then hopefully change things.

I do hope cruz and trump will both be on the ticket....who do you thonk trump would put in charge of picking justices....maybe the VP.....

Cruz, Trump, does not matter. If they are in any way conservative the Dems will not let them get confirmed. On the other hand, the Repubs will confirm anyone the Dems put up there.

How many SC nominees have the Republicans blocked compared to the Democrats? I don't know but I bet its less.

I think it's rather noble that those of you who despise Trump are saying that you will vote for him if he's the Republican presidential nominee. Yessir, it's magnanimous of you guys to do such a thing. Truly. Razz

May I suggest to you that if the Republicans nominate an iron skillet, you vote for it? Belly button lint. A banana peel.

You have to have the votes.

During most of the last 60 years, God Damned Commies have had a majority in the Senate. They have had a strong hold on undermining traditional values and very flexible in strongly backing their kind.

Since under Senate rules it has taken 60 votes to move a nomination to a vote, it has been possible to block nominations. Actually, one Senator can register objection to a nominee abd block a vote indefinitely, but there is tremendous pressure to let it go through.

It's not as easy being a Senator as it looks. The pressures can be unbearable. Still, it's their job and they wanted it.

The President may listen to a Verp's suggestions for SC nomination, but would never let him/her have the controlling say.

Luckily, I have enough willpower to control the driving ambition that rages within me.

When you had the votes, we did things your way. Now, we have the votes and you will be doing things our way. This lesson in political reality from Lyndon B. Johnson

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible." - Justice Janice Rogers Brown

Magnanimous. Truly. You do us proud with your clear vision and your willingness to sacrifice.

Wait. Just for old time's sake, you guys give us some more of that stuff about how we're being played by a phony sellout bad man.

Meanwhile try saying this out loud: President Hillary Rodham Clinton. Let that ring in your ears for a few ticks, then get back to us on the sacrifice you're gonna make for all of us.

That's great that you hope that, but let's stop and think... Whomever it is that the repugs nominate has got to WIN the office!!! That is what matters.

I like Cruz, too. However, Dewhorse said it the most eloquently:

I like cruz....really do but he scares half the cattle and the other half don't understand him.

We have all had it with the repugs giving us casper milquetoast to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

Ain't that right, Mittens ?

DT is bringing in folks from the other side, just like saint Ronald did. The GDCs are afraid. Let's think about that. That has got to mean something.

These are at play with Trump. He craves the attention and approval. For him, celebrity and attention are like a drug - he craves more, no matter how much he has.

Maybe that isn't a reason to disqualify him as President, but it is certainly one of his motives.
