Can I recommend abandoning that site and perhaps trying out Dan Bongino's site which was created specifically because Drudge has veered to the left.

Thank you. I sensed Drudge had veered and confirmed it about the end of last year in a thread discussion about Drudge here. There are so few sites to turn to for the truth, with true journalists rather than opinion writers, and the truth seems to come out here on SIGforum in discussions.

Okay ... I guess it was CNN that started a "Trump will eliminate social security" statement that other sites across the net picked up and either piggybacked or fed on. But I find White House Economic Adviser Larry Kudlow refuted that, as reported by UPI ... so nevermind. Stupid CNN again ... https://www.upi.com/Top_News/U...9701596985351/?ur3=1

Hobbs,
I saw your post and I understood it. Somewhere yesterday I saw that talking point about SS. It won’t happen. It just won’t. Look at what Trump has done for the American people. Look at what he has personally sacrificed to be the president. Hurting vulnerable Americans is not what he is about. It’s just not. He had nothing to gain and everything to lose by running. I don’t know where you saw these things on “The internet” but you need to find some new sites. I’ve added a few sites I regularly look at. I don’t care whose side you are on, trust but verify. Even when you read these articles. Because I don’t trust ANY media anymore. No matter whose ’side’ they are on. On many of the twitter links I don’t necessarily agree with everything these guys post, but they always post good links to thoughtful articles at websites I have never heard of. Just a way to expand your options.

Some of the ’news’ sites I look at:

https://www.redstate.com

https://townhall.com

https://www.breitbart.com

https://pjmedia.com

https://www.foxnews.com

https://hotair.com

https://www.thegatewaypundit.com

https://thefederalist.com

https://theconservativetreehouse.com

https://www.washingtonexaminer.com

https://amgreatness.com

https://www.americanthinker.com

Some of the twitter people I look at (I don’t have a twitter account):

https://twitter.com/seanmdav

https://twitter.com/MZHemingway

https://twitter.com/redsteeze

https://twitter.com/ByronYork

https://twitter.com/stillgray

https://twitter.com/nedryun

https://twitter.com/JackPosobiec

https://twitter.com/Cernovich

https://twitter.com/MrAndyNgo

https://twitter.com/AndrewCMcCarthy

https://twitter.com/davereaboi

https://twitter.com/JimHansonDC

https://twitter.com/ProfMJCleveland

https://twitter.com/shipwreckedcrew

There are many more but you get the point.

Thanks mbinky. That list will keep me busy for a while. I don't do the twitter and never look at it though, unless just following some random link from somewhere and even then, often just disregard the links to twitter. I've taken more space in this thread than intended. Don't think I even posted in any of the previous multi-hundreds of pages of previous Trump years threads. Maybe I can just fade to the lurk bleachers again now. Thanks guys. Much appreciated.

Bill Barr was on Levin tonight; unfortunately the full episode is not yet up on Foxnews.com.
Here is a link to some clips:
Barr clips

The entire episode is must-watch for us conservatives; Barr is deeply knowledgeable about the true enemies we face and is fearless. Thank God for Bill Barr!

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

I’ll thank God when Barr and Durham do what they both know is right and what they both know needs to be done. Right now words are words. Nothing more.

While trying to be optimistic, after seeing the DOJ corruption at the highest levels for the last four years, i don't really believe we will see any meaningful indictments or punishment.

Wow. Trump just announced he's going to give his 2020 presidential nomination acceptance speech at either the White House or the Gettysburg battlefield. If it's at Gettysburg, I'm going (if public is allowed). I'm only 30 minutes away. That would be amazing to see.

Since all of this has been out of pocket I sent a donation to help out. Sundance has been full time on this for quite a while, I hope it shakes things up.

I worked for social security for 42 years. Due to that background, I have an interest in the issue and follow it probably closer than most. As stated previously, this is a crazy conspiracy theory not supported by any facts. Although I do often wish that the President would choose his words more carefully, he is not an idiot interested in political suicide. Saying you are going to do away with Social Security would seal his fate and guarantee a loss. He knows that. In fact, if you recall, during the 2016 campaign Trump stated he would never agree to any cuts in Social Security. He does need to be careful, since a temporary moratorium on collecting SS taxes would have a modest but measurable negative impact on the trust fund balance. That's why you are seeing all the nonsense about eliminating Social Security. But no, there is no plan to eliminate Social Security. Not going to happen.
