Whatever I/we get will go to our kids. Two are teachers and the oldest is a server at a restaurant. They're going to get hit hard.

Teachers are still getting paid (or at least should be unless the state is stealing the federal funds).

My wife works at a high school and was informed she's essentially being paid to stay at home and the districts will not be required to make up the missed class time. This was triggered when the feds called it a national emergency (as opposed to a local emergency)

I don’t need a check. I’d be happy with a loan from the Fed at .25%.

I whole-heartedly agree with this...don't need it. And I also agree with something another said above (KrazeeHorse)...those people that are ALREADY ON the gubbmit dole shouldn't get a thing...my tax dollars are already paying for their TVs that are bigger than mine and cell phones that are the latest and greatest compared to my 2015 iPhone 6S plus.

I was actually thinking about the second part of my statement above on my drive home from working out this morning.

Take any check the government sends and put it to good use locally to help those in need.

Donate it to a good charity, order takeout, send cupcakes to the hospital etc.

Heck send it to the Trump Campaign if nothing else.

College just got bloody expensive.

With one in college and the other going next year the 529’s have taken a big hit with this drop in the stock market.

Not as much of a hit as more aggressive investments, but still wow.
Trying to be responsible putting money aside for all these years and then Wham!

I was actually thinking about the second part of my statement above on my drive home from working out this morning.

I am unable to work out. 2 reasons, my wife prohibited it (due to my age of 82) and the LA Fitness place has closed down for 2 weeks to sanitize the whole place.

I can still work out in the back yard cutting firewood, gathering kindling, etc.

Or go for a bike ride along the bike path on Rt. 234 south. Trying to generate the energy to do that.

I'm watching these press conferences and it's clear the President is operating this like a constitutional republic. He's letting the states lead and do what is necessary for their people, providing overall guidance, and support with the full power of the Federal Government. The media has no idea how to deal with this approach.

Trump (paraphrased): "I got the test because the media was hounding me about not getting tested. I didn't think I needed it. My doctor said I didn't need it. But you people were hounding me about it. So I got it. Now you're criticizing me for getting tested."

Did you catch the part where he said (I'm paraphrasing) "You're actually too close as it is. 75% of you shouldn't be in this room. I think I'll only invite the good people in tomorrow. In fact you should leave the room immediately!"

I died laughing out loud!

I’m thinking there will be some unemployed strippers / students I could help out. That would be a good stimulus package.
