Amidst all of this, here's a reminder that Donald Trump and Trump alone kept this nasty, evil, anti-American wannabee dictator from becoming president.

BREAKING: Hillary Clinton suggests jailing Americans for posting "misinformation"

Just a reminder: "misinformation" is truth that goes against the approved government narrative.

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

It is hard to dislike these people more. The Hill is a plague.

They use the word "seethe" on purpose. The cool kids use it now to mock people.
"Urban" Dictionary

"When annoying or self-righteous nerds rage on internet message boards about some arbitrary way they've been slighted or inconvenienced somehow, for both legitimate and trivial concerns. Commonly phrased as "Seethe more, ____-(deragatory)." Often used in regards to videogames, social commentary, and politics. Used as a form of ridicule to fluster or frustrate someone who is already irate, mockingly inviting them to further perpetuate expressing their dissatisfaction online."

So stop seething over some silly assassination attempt... again.
The Hill and their staff deserve nothing but contempt.

U.S. Attorney Handling Would-Be Trump Assassin’s Case Is a Haitian Immigrant

https://www.thedailybeast.com/...?utm_source=substack

Days after Donald Trump spewed conspiracies targeting Haitian migrants on the presidential debate stage, a Haitian-American immigrant has taken charge of the prosecution of an alleged assassin whose plot against the former president was foiled by Secret Service agents at his golf course in West Palm Beach, Florida. Markenzy Lapointe, the Justice Department’s top prosecutor for South Florida, was born in Port-au-Prince and immigrated to the U.S. with his mother at age 16, the Miami Herald reported. His family settled in the Miami neighborhood of Liberty City, and Lapointe worked his way through school as a cab driver and server alongside his mother at an upscale restaurant in Key Biscayne. Lapointe was also a U.S. Marine reservist and was called up to serve during the Gulf War. “It mattered to me as an immigrant who came here and could contribute to this country in a special way,” he told the Herald. Lapointe was nominated for the post by President Biden in September 2022 and confirmed by the Senate in December of that year with bipartisan support, including vocal support from Florida Sen. Marco Rubio. Lapointe has since led the case against the alleged assassins of Haitian President President Jovenel Moïse, which led to a grand jury indictment against 11 people and the arrest of four Florida residents allegedly involved in the scheme last year.

They knew! Wait what do the FBI know? Even the sensationalist NY Post says all the FBI knew about the guy is someone reported he was a felon in possession of firearms back in 2019. Link

“However, the agency was not able to verify the claims against Routh.

“In following up on the tip, the alleged complainant was interviewed and did not verify providing the initial information,” Veltri said. “The FBI passed that information to local law enforcement in Honolulu.””

But, they knew!

Secret Service admits golf course wasn’t searched before Trump assassination attempt

What we know about Trump assassination suspect, Ryan Routh

Secret Service agents didn’t sweep the outskirts of Donald Trump’s Florida golf course where his alleged would-be assassin was hiding because the former president’s visit was an “off-the-record” plan, the embattled agency’s acting director admitted.

Ryan Wesley Routh, 58, allegedly set up a sniper’s nest on the edge of Trump International West Palm Beach and hid there undetected for nearly 12 hours before Trump, 78, teed off on Sunday afternoon, federal prosecutors said.

Acting Secret Service head Ronald Rowe Jr. said Monday that agents didn’t mount an intense search of the perimeter because the 45th president’s round wasn’t on his official calendar.

“The president wasn’t even really supposed to go there. It was not on his official schedule,” Rowe told reporters as he defended the security measures in place.

“And so we put together a security plan — and that security plan worked,” he said of Routh’s arrest before he got off any shots.

Rowe stopped short of clarifying whether the “off-the-record” stop meant agents didn’t have enough time to scour the former president’s golf course.

Here's what we know about the assassination attempt on Trump in Florida:
Former President Donald Trump survived an assassination attempt at Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach on Sept. 15, 2024.

Trump sent out a statement to supporters soon after to report that he was “SAFE AND WELL.”

The suspect — identified as Ryan Routh, 58, of Hawaii — was able to get within 300 to 500 yards of Trump at a chain link fence on the edge of the course, where he had an AK-47 and a GoPro camera set up, apparently to record the planned shooting.

Routh has a history of supporting progressive causes online and has made 19 donations to Democratic candidates since 2019.
A Secret Service agent spotted and opened fire on Routh as he put his gun through the fence.

The suspect fled and was arrested on I-95 a short time later.

According to Palm Beach County Sheriff Ric Bradshaw, Trump’s security detail was lighter because he isn’t a sitting president — despite the previous attempt on his life in July.

Still, the acting director hailed the agents who ended up spotting the muzzle of an AK-style rifle sticking through the shrubbery that lines the course and opened fire on the suspect before he could take a shot.

The suspect allegedly dropped his rifle when an agent opened fire and fled in an SUV — leaving behind his firearm, two backpacks and a GoPro camera, according to a criminal complaint.

Surely, that diagram should be in yards not feet?

Second, I can’t see how the Secret Service can be criticized for this. They shot at the guy before the guy could see Trump and the guy didn’t get a shot off. Job well done.

Because back when Trump was president and played this course, every one of those streets was closed down and swept before he arrived. He's still getting less protection than the sitting president, and this is after Butler, PA.

The Secret Service agents on the ground there, his protection detail, appear to have done a fine job. The failure is in securing the perimeter. Of course there is only so much that they can do on that front. I don't expect the roads to be closed around the course just so Trump can have a round of golf. That seems like an unreasonable inconvenience to the surrounding residents. However, I'd at least expect a sweep of the grounds and the perimeter prior to Trump's tee time. If the guy was camped there for 12 hours or so, then that is where the massive security failure is, and that is on the Secret Service.

Looks like feet is correct. The 7th hole is reported to be 191 yards from the furthest tee. In 2020, Trump got a hole in one from the second furthest tee at 181 yards.

Secret Service had a plan and the plan worked whether the guy was there for 10 minutes or 10 days. The outcome in terms of Trump’s security would have been no different had they beat the bushes earlier.
