Her resignation was necessary. The failures of the agency in her tenure were staggering. This is what happens when leaders appoint friends to key positions.

The real question is, who replaces her and how do they rebuild that disaster to what it once was?

I wonder if this gets her out of future congressional scrutiny. Does her Deputy Director get to sit in the hot seat now?

The fact that it took 10 full days is just astonishing to me and shows just how arrogant these Democrats all are and how protected they all feel.

If that was a Dem Presidential candidate who got shot in the head and it was a Republican appointed USSS Director, they would have resigned THAT VERY DAY.

Cheatle fell on her sword to protect those above her in the Administration. There is likely a codicil in her resigning that forbids her to reveal information to anyone at all. I know - I am being fitted for my tinfoil hat!
