All I posted with regards to this attempt on Trump's life was that it should have never happened. Two members tried to give the Secret Service a pass. I doubled and tripled down on my position that it's unacceptable. When's the last time a President got shot in the head and lived to tell about it? How can anyone, especially in our community, who knows and understands firearms and ballistics can think that it's acceptable for someone to take a VERY make able shot at that distance? No, but maybe they could have spotted a rooftop sniper with drones, satellite, combined with fancy AI software "looking" for movement on rooftops, etc. I went to a presidential rally one time on a secure Navy base, and Secret Service/FBI/NSA police type guys all decked out in technical black and some serious high dollar non-retail type binocs, were on the tallest building on the compound, scanning everything, and could see every rooftop within shooting range. They would have NOT have ignored anyone walking around on a roof within visual and shooting range. So yea, maybe someone wasn't doing their job, or maybe Pres Trump no longer rated for that level of protection. Just guessing.
