Well, because I found it on my iCloud drive and think it might be useful. That was a mistake. I'll exercise more discretion in the future. (It is an understatement to say that I've experiencing a lot of physical stress.)
I was/am desperate. Until I met the surgeon last Friday, off duty police seemed like the best idea as I was not getting anywhere with doctors who do not understand my plight. The doctors are now slowly catching on, but I still think I'm going to need help outside of the medical system.
First, I apologize for pissing you off, especially since I respect you. I have to be vague on some matters for legal reasons. To be clear, I moved to rural Western Washington with the intention of being the oldest living person to never receive medical care. (This would mean that I had no health insurance at the time.) A rather obvious neuromuscular disease with sudden onset began in Oct. 2005. Being unfamiliar with the medical system, especially in rural Western Washington, I went to the nearest medical clinic seeking help. Blood was detected in my urine, and her conclusion was that a UTI was the cause of my neurological symptoms and abnormal gait. Cipro was prescribed. My condition worsened and she concluded that I was allergic to Cipro. I was switched to Bactrim for my still undiagnosed neuromuscular disease. (The urine culture turned out to be negative.) I eventually went into "town" and consulted with actual doctors, still not having health insurance. I private paid for a CTI and MRI of my brain along with extensive blood work. The test results were unremarkable, and it was concluded that I had a "drug problem". Then I was just dismissed. In 2006, I awoke with epigastric pain, nausea, and vomiting. Not knowing to seek emergency care, I called the nearest clinic. I was told that it would be 3 weeks before I could be seen. After 3 weeks of nausea and vomiting, she decided that "stomach acid" was likely the cause of my epigastric pain, nausea, and vomiting. Prilosec was prescribed. Two weeks later, I was switched to expensive Aciphex. Two weeks later, it was conjectured that I might been suffering from an H. pylori infection, so antibiotics were prescribed, and I should return in two weeks. A former neighbor who knew me as a mountain climber told me to demand blood tests. When I followed instructions and demanded a blood test the first blood test in my life, I was diagnosed as being a hypochondriac. She confirmed her diagnosis by my report of muscle contractions in my right abdomen. She explained to me that those were butterflies in my stomach and prescribed Valium. My purchase of health insurance then is noted in my medical records which further confirmed her diagnosis. Later in 2008, I reported the same symptoms to a now retired doctor. I made the mistake of giving him my medical records which I had not yet read. He ordered a $5,000 EGD and colonoscopy. He also ordered an expensive heart ultrasound, presumably to make money off of me. After I reported that Valium was not effective in alleviating the nausea and vomiting, I was switched to Xanax instead. At this point, I realized that I was not going to receive medical care where I was at. Following my mother's instructions, I went to a clinic in Beaverton, OR. That clinic did not accept health insurance, and the doctor charged $400/hour, while I had to live in a hotel in Oregon. His diagnosis was the poorly named Chronic fatigue syndrome. I concurred. I was going to get a medical referral to Stanford University, but then the financial system imploded and the expensive clinic went out of business. Much occurred since I composed an email in 2014 which contains this excerpt: "Nonketotic Hyperosmolar Syndrome I understand it, and I can pronounce it. So there are multiple underlying disorders, and my blood glucose level randomly spikes up. That would explain my parched mouth, cracked lips, the random extreme glucose in my urine, the constant drowsiness and a couple of comas, why I haven't tried to drive in a month. I could confirm my hypothesis if I had any lances and unexpired test strips for my blood glucose monitor. I can't eat, I can only drink. Hmm, how will this game play out?" It is appropriate to feel sorry for me. My tongue was destroyed by tizanidine which was prescribed in lieu of appropriate pain medication. I have lost my sense of thirst. I can only tell if my body needs water by the color and production of my urine. I have not been hungry since 2006. I cannot move the toes on my left foot. Tizanidine also likely damaged my liver. In my latest hospital visit, I was asked "Why do you need to walk with a cane?" I replied "I don't know." I will not go into details about the need of a urologist except to say that is a Federally recognized disability, which with an apparently unrelated dysfunction, is potentially life threatening. And as I have mentioned, I am now losing sensation in all 10 fingers. It was a bad situation indeed when I reduced to lying on sofa with my mind trying to decide what hurts the most? "My feet hurt the most. No my guts hurt the most. My bladder hurts the most. Now my legs hurt the most. My eyes hurt even more." The situation was so bad that I was envious of the medical care given to terrorists in Gitmo. "If only I could swap places with someone on Death Row in Texas." was also thought numerous times. And I paid for that medical treatment. The good news is that was the past. I now have doctors who are interested and may be able to help me. My gallbladder will finally be removed next week. That will just be the beginning of my repairs. Whether you lock or nuke my topic, I hope that your decision will be made in my best interest.

That should have been your first post in this thread. Members here are always quick to jump in to help a forum member, with just about everything under the sun. When you aren’t clear or are cryptic, this is what happens. Good luck, hope you get straightened out.

Sorry the OP is going through this. I don't know if you've received good medical care in the past, but will say this: It can be difficult to diagnose both neurologic disease and nail down the source of pain. Bad doctors does not equate to malpractice and neither does the performance of expensive tests equate to just trying to get your money. Tests, sometimes expensive ones, are needed to rule in and rule out possible causes. Perhaps you had bad doctors. Perhaps you had negligent ones. Perhaps you have a complicated disease that is difficult to diagnose without advanced testing. In any event, I wish you a speedy road to recovery!

You know this is a gun forum right? What are off duty cops going to do w/ any of this? I'm think this is why most request prayers/good thoughts, which I'm doing now.

I'm not the most gentle person in the world. I am very blunt, so take that into consideration when I say: What. The. Fuck. is a cop, off duty, on duty, retired or soon to be hired going to do for ANY OF THIS BULLSHIT? You NEED help from the medical system. The more that you post, the more it seems the psychiatric side of the medical system is what you need.
No that isn't clear. In fact, it's vague as hell. Your neuromuscular disease is obvious to whom? You?
You had extensive blood tests done earlier, remember?
No, I don't think you understand it. Not at all.
Who is measuring the glucose in your piss? You know, you could go to the pharmacy and buy some blood test strips. Here, you can order some from Amazon . Don't even have to leave the house.
No it ISN'T appropriate to give you pity. You are giving yourself enough for 7 people. A muscle relaxer destroyed your tongue. Give me fucking break. People who REALLY want help seek it out. People who want to blame everybody on the planet for their woes sit on their ass and cry the blues and wish they could trade places with Gitmo detainees or death row inmates. -------- After the game, the King and the pawn go into the same box.

I'm a cop. Don't you know most cops conduct at home surgeries in their time off? It's how we make ends meet. Wish I was in Texas, this guy could put an addition on my house with the surgeries it sounds like he needs. __________________________ Whoever appeals to the law against his fellow man is either a fool or a coward. The only useful medical care that I received in Washington was in King County, near Seattle. One doctor there took the risk of keeping me alive and supplied me with copious amounts of insulin. He understood my general problems, but he could not do much more to help me.
Sometimes, even good doctors can become guilty of gross negligence through their use of thrifty medical assistants as a cost saving measure to to provide to the masses of Washington. While I do not have to prove gross negligence, surely you agree that refusal to order more medical tests to protect the socialist system in Washington followed by an appropriate urinalysis and abdominal ultrasound ordered by another doctor which I suspect but have not legally discovered were never even reviewed. That would be considered "gross negligence". And what would I do with the money? Reopen the medical clinic and teach and learn of the mistakes made there and elsewhere.
If I can't figure out the problem, then the problem is complicated to the point of being intractable. It's bad to be in an intractable situation. Thank you for your well wishes.

We are very amused by your "Very Ape" wording. I need someone competent to understand my situation that I can trust. The first surgeon that I encountered here was afraid of killing me with surgery. The second surgeon that I encountered here is still trying to figure out what has gone wrong, bu he is not afraid to operate.
