Well, our house is officially infested with the wuflu. Our son went on a retreat and came back feeling a little down in the dumps. Then it hit the wife. Now myself and our 18 year old daughter. The latter three of of us did the Abbot rapid test yesterday and confirmed it. The timing could NOT have been worse. Thanksgiving around the corner, opening day of deer gun season.

I’m 99.9% certain I had the crud in 11/19 before it was officially in the wild. It is pretty much the same. The wife is about over it, as is the boy. Daughter is dealing with it well, and I feel like I have the flu, just like last time, only not as bad. This confirms what I already believe- natural immunity beats an endless series of jabs. We’ll all be fine and better off in the long run.

Did you do anything for it? Invermectin, moncol... whatever that stuff is, VitC, VitD?

Or just ride the ride?

Hedley Lamarr: Wait, wait, wait. I'm unarmed.
Bart: Alright, we'll settle this like men, with our fists.
Hedley Lamarr: Sorry, I just remembered . . . I am armed.

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

Just riding it out with aspirin and hydration, and vitamins. I’ll probably mask up and go to Walmart and get some additional D and C to go along with my daily horse pill.

Please... don't do that. Let someone else pick it up for you. The mask doesn't stop transmission. If all the sick people would just let someone else go to the store for them, we'd get out of this quicker.

So... other than virtue signalling, what purpose do the masks serve?

If it were only that easy.....

We're not getting out of this.

All signs point to the virus being everywhere and here to stay.

I don’t really have an option- I don’t have anyone near I can send. Right now I am coughing pretty steadily and consistently. While I firmly believe masks do help to keep you from getting, they do cut down on projecting large droplets getting loose. I am coughing up green nastiness so I will limit what I project.

**eta**- checked the vitamin drawer, we have plenty of what we need hiding in the back- apparently the wife loaded up on D,C, and zinc at some point.

We all get that.

The "easy" part isn't eliminating the virus. The easy part is ending the nonsense surrounding living with the virus.

Treat it like the flu. No vaccine mandates. No mask mandates. No business closures. Life like normal. Wash your hands and stay home if you're feeling ill.

**eta**- checked the vitamin drawer, we have plenty of what we need hiding in the back- apparently the wife loaded up on D,C, and zinc at some point.

But even had he not found they had enough stock: If he had nobody to send he had no other choice.

Masking-up, regular use of hand sanitizer, distancing, avoiding any more, or more frequent, contact or proximity than is absolutely necessary to acquire the needed supplies is not the same as going about as if one wasn't sick.

I've mentioned this here before: When I was still employed: When I felt myself getting sick I called in sick and stayed home. Usually my wife was available to fetch anything I needed we didn't already have on-hand. But one time it struck quickly after I was already at work. My wife was out of town. I knew I needed certain supplies with which to ride it out that I knew weren't at home. So, yes: I went shopping on the way home.

By that point I was so ill I could barely see straight.

Sometimes ya gotta do what ya gotta do, even if it's less than optimal.

For $5 or $12, my wife signed up for month of Walmart+ which includes same day delivery. I've ordered 10 gallons of DEF, 5 gallons of ATF, 9 gallons of oil, etc. It all just shows up on your door step.

Barring that, do Walmart pickup order.

I hope you and yours recover quickly.

Check your reading comps, friend; I already edited that I don’t need to go out. Regardless, if I need something I’m going to go out and get it. I’ll take measures to mitigate.

ETA - Which extremely contagious communicable disease do you draw the line on when you decide, "if I need something I’m going to go out and get it"?

You have to be kidding, right?
You need something, you do what you have too.

This isn't "I wanted an ice cream cone", its "I need some medicine".
People that were ill or infectious, have been going out to get meds for 100 yrs.
And yet we survive.

But Covid, I guess

I think - and just my opinion - that if this had been done in the first place, the illness and deaths wouldn't have been much, if any, worse.
