The oral surgeon is well versed in infection control and understands that airborne viruses don't stop at the chair. However, dental boards typically consider violating CDC "recommendations" egregious enough to trigger disciplinary action. No licensee is going to win that fight.

On Wednesday, the US Department of Agriculture released some rather disturbing news: a survey of wild deer populations has found that large numbers of the animals seem to have been exposed to SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19. The finding indicates that there's a very large population of wild animals in North America that could serve as a reservoir for the virus, even if we were to get its circulation within the human population under control.

Using a captive deer population, the USDA had already determined that deer can be infected by the virus, although the animals display no symptoms. So although direct interactions between deer and humans are relatively limited, checking the wild populations made sense. The USDA checked populations in a total of 32 counties in four different states, obtaining blood samples to look for antibodies specific to SARS-CoV-2.

The antibodies were quite common, ranging from a low of 7 percent of the samples in Illinois to a high of 60 percent in Michigan. All told, a third of the deer tested had antibodies against SARS-CoV-2"

CDC Director Rochelle Walensky was pressed Friday as to whether she supports or foresees a federal vaccine mandate, as the Biden administration publicly laments continued vaccine hesitancy in parts of the country.

Walensky told "Special Report" anchor Bret Baier that she and President Biden are "looking into" whether or not to establish a mandate.

"Are you for mandating a vaccine on a federal level?" Baier asked.

"That's something that I think the administration is looking into. It's something that I think we are looking to see approval of from the vaccine," Walensky replied.

"Overall, I think in general, I am all for more vaccination. But, I have nothing further to say on that except that we are looking into those policies."

Walensky added that any vaccine mandates currently in place are strictly on the local or corporate level.

In response, Baier asked what Walensky would say to the swath of the American people that believe they should have full control of what happens to their body and what they inject themselves with, whether for religious, personal or other reasons.

"I completely understand the pushback," she responded, adding that the COVID jab would not be the first vaccine to be mandated for institutions like public schools and the like – as polio, pertussis and other shots are already standardized.

She said that as a former chief epidemiologist at Massachusetts General Hospital, she was mandated to receive an influenza shot every year to be able to hold her job.

"I understand both perspectives," she said, adding that when it comes to medical staff that are reticent to receive the vaccine, that dynamic is simply the product of a "heterogeneous country."

"Some people haven't had access. Some people haven't had time off. Some people don't understand its benefits. Some people are worried about the side effects. Solve think as we go and try and provide information to people who are not yet vaccinated," she said, adding that the CDC must take charge of understanding vaccine hesitancy and respond with information that may convince such folks otherwise.

Walensky pointed to the VAERS reporting system, a web portal highlighted by Fox News host Tucker Carlson in recent months that allows Americans to self-report however unverified adverse reactions to any current vaccine.

"We are watching this incredibly carefully through numerous different safety systems," Walensky claimed, citing VAERS and other reporting systems that transmit information between hospitals and the feds.

She told Baier there have been "very rare signals" of adverse data and have summarily investigated them.

"What I would say is we have vaccinated 164 million Americans. So we have an extraordinary amount of data since December as we started getting vaccinating people," she said. "So I have extraordinary confidence in the safety of these vaccines."

Justice Memo Backing Mandatory COVID Shots ‘Is Absurd,’ Religious Liberty Group Claims

A Department of Justice (DOJ) memorandum claims government and private corporations can mandate that employees be vaccinated against the CCP virus, also known as the novel coronavirus, even though federal law specifies the contrary.

An 18-page memorandum issued July 27 to support President Joe Biden’s direction that federal employees be required to be vaccinated or face stringent testing and masking requirements turns around interpretation of Section 564 of the Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act and its stipulations regarding drugs that are issued under the emergency use authorization (EUA) that enables the FDA to approve experimental drugs to be administered under dire public health circumstances.

Addressed to the deputy counsel for the president, the memorandum says, “you have asked whether the ‘option to accept or refuse’ condition of section 564 prohibits entities from imposing such vaccination requirements while the only available vaccines for COVID-19 remain subject to EUAs.

“We conclude, consistent with FDA’s interpretation, that it does not. This language in section 564 specifies only that certain information be provided to potential vaccine recipients and does not prohibit entities from imposing vaccination requirements.”

All three of the anti-CCP virus vaccinations are only authorized under the EUA provision, and that’s why the DOJ memorandum is completely wrong, according to Liberty Counsel, a Florida-based public interest law firm that specializes in religious freedom litigation under the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.

Liberty Counsel announced earlier this week that it will represent a group of employees of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) who object to the government’s requirement that they be vaccinated against the deadly virus that has killed more than 660,000 Americans since early 2020.

Liberty Counsel spokesman Holly Meade told The Epoch Times on July 30 that “we are inundated with people asking for help. We consider it a great privilege to lead the way in this fight. This is a life and death situation, and people need our help.”

Liberty Counsel claims in its analysis of the DOJ memorandum that it “is fundamentally flawed and … cannot be read to permit the government or private entities to mandate an experimental product approved merely for emergency use. In fact, the memorandum even admits multiple times that the EUA law and the FDA require the ‘option to accept or refuse.’”

The Liberty Counsel response continues, “none of the COVID shots are approved or licensed by the FDA. They come under the Emergency Use Authorization (EUA), which means they cannot be forced or required,” Liberty Counsel states in the scathing statement issued July 29.

“On page 1 of the DOJ memo, and many times thereafter, the DOJ correctly states that Section 564 of the federal law directs the FDA ‘to the extent practicable’ and as the FDA ‘finds necessary or appropriate … to impose ‘[a]appropriate’ conditions on each EUA …

“The memo continues: ‘Some of these conditions are designed to ensure that recipients of the product are ‘informed’ of certain things, including ‘the option to accept or refuse administration of the product.’”

“The memo also states on page 1 that since December 2020, the FDA granted EUAs for COVID shots. ‘In each of these authorizations, FDA imposed the ‘option to accept or refuse’ condition.’ The memo then correctly notes that the FDA Fact Sheet states, ‘It is your choice to receive or not receive’ the COVID shots.

“Despite this clear ‘option to accept or refuse’ language, and despite admitting the FDA has publicly affirmed this ‘option to accept or refuse,’ the DOJ memo says it does not mean you have the option to refuse.

“The ‘option to accept or refuse,’ the DOJ asserts, is met merely by telling people they have the ‘option to accept or refuse,’ and, once told, people can be forced to take these shots. This is akin to interpreting the Miranda Rights to mean once you have been told ‘You have the option to remain silent,’ then you can be forced to talk! This is absurd.”

Liberty Counsel Founder and Chairman Mat Staver said in his firm’s analysis that “in addition to the plain language of the EUA law and the FDA, employees and students have rights under state and federal laws, including the First Amendment Free Exercise Clause, to refuse injecting a drug into their bodies.

“It is shocking that the DOJ intentionally deceived the public with its lawless, result-oriented memorandum. We will not allow the law and the people to be trampled by employers, schools or this administration.”

The Epoch Times has asked DOJ for a response to Liberty Counsel’s analysis, but has not received a reply as yet.
