Yeah, science and data, eh? Well, I'll say this. If this pandemic has proved to us anything, it is this. That science has failed; it has become a caricature. Science is the new "God that failed," just like communism used to be for the left in the last century. This farcical new science has become the new cult of the left.

The other day, or local online newspaper gossip rag ran a story about the fact that we had 7 new cases in our county, and how this is the largest spike in cases we've seen since the beginning of the pandemic. Everybody in town was all worked up and talking about it.

What they failed to mention was that the ISDH website also showed that they received 273 test results back that day. That's over 1/4 of the total test results received since day 1 (something like 1050) in our county. In one day. Of course you're going to see more positives when you get more tests...it's pretty much a statistical certainty. A responsible news source would have relayed that information, put the increase of positives into perspective, and also investigated the reason behind the sudden enormous spike in test results. But there was no mention of the spike in total test numbers in the article at all.

Apparently it's better to foment public panic in order to up your readership and ad revenue than it is to make sure your readers are getting the whole truth.

The New York Times wrote an article critical of the UFC for not maintaining social distancing, etc.

Let's go to Dana White and see what he thinks of the New York Times (NSFW):

I think he summarizes my thoughts on the New York Times very well. Couldn't agree more!

"I don't give a fuck."

I'm right there, too. This is the stupidest shit I've witnessed in my entire life and I have flat-out had it.

Fuck you and your social distancing and your ridiculous masks and un-Constitutional house arrest of citizens. Fuck you and every last bit of your lying, scheming bullshit.

And, especially, fuck you for telling people that their jobs are "non-essential". People have families to feed, you silver spoon, prima donna spoiled little shits. You know less than nothing, and that makes you dangerous. This kind of shit makes me want to start measuring out lengths of hemp rope and looking for lots and lots of stout tree limbs.

SARS, Hanta Virus, Bird Flu- none of it- there has never been a successful vaccine for any of these viruses, so this bullshit about staying home until we have a vaccine is beyond ignorant, stupid and dangerous, because there's not going to be any vaccine.

Don't believe me? Look it up. Tell me about the vaccine for SARS and the like. There is none.

Much as I hate this “New Normal” crap, I’m afraid we’ve reached that point. Open vs Non-open. Safety vs Personal Responsibility. Big Government vs. Federalism. We have exposed a rift in our country that goes way past “Orange Man Bad”. I can’t see how we’ll ever go back.

I just want to be left alone. They are determined not to let that happen. They have a foothold now, more so than in decades. I will care or they will make me care. I’m not being a pessimist, just recognizing that Leftists are dehumanizing anyone who disagrees with them to justify the inevitable violence against us. We’ll have no choice but to defend ourselves. The country will split.

I wasn’t going to post this, just go for a walk. But as of yesterday, I’m required to wear a mask at all times in public (even outdoors). I’ve never practiced civil disobedience before. Now they’re making me consider it. Multiply me by 30 million or so.

Or, maybe I’ve just been cooped up too long and am over sensitive.

Well, a major supermarket chain here in Pennsylvania; Giant just announced that they are scrapping the stupid directional arrows nonsense effective immediately.

They already lost my business while ago after they went full Coronavirus Fascist with the bread lines, cattle chutes, creepy public service announcements about social distancing, signs everywhere lecturing you, arrows everywhere, asshole employees berating people for not having masks on, harassing little old ladies for the crime of going the wrong way down an aisle, all sorts of shit like that.

I will bet you they looked at their numbers and they are dropping because of all this and they panicked and this is an attempt to stop the bleeding, because I am hearing from a lot of people that they are going elsewhere now because of this company acting like a bunch of Nazis during this pandemic.

Fuck Giant. You made your bed, now go to sleep in it, assholes.

Civil disobedience to what? Governor executive orders are not law.

Also, when YOU believe that we have reached the "new normal", you have to realize YOU are part of the problem.

Are you or are you not an individual with rights that have been given to you by a power higher than government? That is the question. Either stand up and be counted or follow.

Personally, I refuse to wear a mask, refuse to social distance, or any other ridiculous nonsense. Having worked in far worse places during far worse outbreaks, I know unequivocally that these "experts" have been 100% wrong every single time.

Yeah, it's like that experiment from a few years back- monkeys throwing darts at a newspaper made stock predictions as accurately as Wall Street "experts".

Same thing here. Just making random guesses puts you on an equal footing with dimwits like Faucci, because that little bastard is making this shit up as he goes. I'll go so far as to say that he's making it up even as the sentences are coming out of his mouth. All that's required is just the slightest bit of imagination, and Faucci certainly has that, doesn't he? Roll Eyes

I actually saw a guy yesterday in my subdivision walking to the damn mailbox at the end of his driveway with a mask on and went right back into his house. Freaking twilight zone. Maybe he was Chinese Flu positive and didn’t want to catch it. Smile

Sheeple plain and simple. I went to the grocery to pick up a few things. I went to the self check put and there is 1 guy checking. Just 1 guy. There is a guy waiting to go to a register but won't go. So I asked him what he was waiting on. He says: I won't go by him because its not 6 feet. This moron had safety glasses, mask and gloves and about my age early sixties. So I said: Did we shut the country down for polio, Small pox, TB or so many others? He said there are vaccines. I said long after the viruses had already affected many people and now people will believe anything there are told. People trust what they see and hear on TV and radio and have no idea they are being lied to.

But there can be no impeding our intentions or our dispositions. Because we can accommodate and adapt. The mind adapts and converts to its own purposes the obstacle to our acting.

I kinda get a kick out of peoples reactions at the store when my unmasked ass reaches right around them for a product on the shelf. At least they can see me smile at them as I do it.

You’re missing my point. The New Normal I’m talking about has nothing to do with the law (although every modern crisis this century has created an expansion of government we live with to this day). I’m referring to an escalation in the culture war that will become the New Normal. If you have the ability to reason with these people and change their minds, more power to you. I do not.

As for civil disobedience, we’ve seen people arrested for violating state orders. Sure, they’re overturned, but that fact that I could encounter the legal system over a walk?

If your Governor has a similar policy in place, ignore it. Let me know what happens. If you don’t have a mandatory mask order in place - enjoy.

The latest in MI:
The Michigan Nurses Association, the statewide union for nurses, have filed a friend of the court brief in the Republican lawsuit contesting the evil queens executive orders.
The union supports Whitmers use of Executive Orders to force lock down, citing the "danger" of a continued virus spread if the Governors power to lock down is curtailed.
