19 year L.E.O. and much better than most friend died last week at 76 y.o.,
After being sick for a week and house bound for another week.

He would have served much longer as a police officer, but he got injured on the job

Life in Iowa City was a better place when Dan was there in the job.

He did not believe in COVID, wouldn't go to the hospital.

Sadly that's what medical professionals say killed him.

For the most part it is true belief, at least with the people I know personally. It was fostered by blind allegiance to "their team", in large part due to TDS. They so despised President Trump, and they believe in general that conservatives are hateful (racist, classist, homophobe, patriarchal, etc), so they were programmed to believe it when the opposition to Trump said something. They trust their team implicitly, meaning the media and the D party, and they are incapable of believing anything Trump or his team said.
And yet, the irony of the fact DJT is the reason "we" have the "vaccine", is totally lost on them.

'Amnesty'?
Hell NO!

"You Murderous Hypocrites": Outrage Ensues After The Atlantic Suggests 'Amnesty' For Pandemic Authoritarians

The Atlantic has come under fire for suggesting that all the terrible pandemic-era decisions over lockdowns, school closures, masking, and punishing an entire class of people who questioned the efficacy and wisdom of taking a rushed, experimental vaccine - for a virus with a 99% survival rate in most, should all be water under the bridge.

"We need to forgive one another for what we did and said when we were in the dark about COVID," writes Brown Professor Emily Oster - a huge lockdown proponent, who now pleads from mercy from the once-shunned.

"Let’s acknowledge that we made complicated choices in the face of deep uncertainty, and then try to work together to build back and move forward," she continues.

Except, they weren't “in the dark” about Covid. There were numerous sources pointing out the actual science that ran contrary to the mandate claims, and they were deliberately silenced by a vast media campaign. Evidence suggests that media platforms worked in tandem with Big Tech, the CDC and the Biden Administration. It was not a simple matter of overreaction, there was collusion to remove all counter-information.

Nice try, Emily.

As the Daily Sceptic's Michael P. Senger puts it: "There’s a lot wrong here. First, no, you don’t get to advocate policies that do extraordinary harm to others, against their wishes, then say, “We didn’t know any better at the time!” Ignorance doesn’t work as an excuse when the policies involved abrogating your fellow citizens’ rights under an indefinite state of emergency, while censoring and cancelling those who weren’t as ignorant. The inevitable result would be a society in which ignorance and obedience to the opinion of the mob would be the only safe position."

And look at that ratio:

In one epic Twitter thread, Claremont Institute Senior Fellow Matthew J. Peterson (@docMJP) excoriates Oster's entire premise;

  • Hey—sorry you lost your job b/c of the vax that doesn’t work and your grandmother died alone and you couldn’t have a funeral and your brother’s business was needlessly destroyed and your kids have weird heart problems—but let’s just admit we were all wrong and call a truce, eh?

  • It’s too bad we shut the entire economy down & took on tyrannical powers that have never been used before in this country—looking back, you should have been able to go to church and use public parks while we let people riot in the streets—but it was a confusing time for everyone.

Hey I'm sorry we scared the hell out of you & lied for years & persecuted & censored anyone who disagreed but there was an election going on & we really wanted to beat Donald Trump so it was important to radically politicize the science even if it destroyed your children's lives.

  • OK, yes we said unvaccinated people should die & not get healthcare while never questioning Big Pharma once but we are compassionate people which is why even though we shut down the entire economy we also bankrupted the nation & caused inflation. You're welcome! Let's be friends.

As QTR's Fringe Finance notes, Oster’s plea for the decency that her ilk failed to offer up to most Americans during the throws of the pandemic comes at a point where the Covid narrative has been all but lost by the Democrats and the mainstream media.

There have been several recent large wins for the unvaccinated who had the constitution and backbone to stand up for themselves throughout a year of being constantly berated and ferociously scorned as second class citizens.

A majority of the media and Democrats had demanded that these people be removed from society and generally subject to scorn and ridicule. Now, in a moment that many of us knew would eventually be coming, apologies are being made around the world for how the unvaccinated were treated.

As Fox News wrote last week:

“The premier of Alberta, Canada, said she is working on a plan to pardon residents who were fined or arrested over breaking coronavirus protocols, and apologized to unvaccinated Canadians who faced ‘discrimination.’“

In New York, a Supreme Court judge recently reinstated all employees who were fired from their jobs for being unvaccinated:

The court found Monday that "being vaccinated does not prevent an individual from contracting or transmitting COVID-19." New York City Mayor Eric Adams claimed earlier this year that his administration would not rehire employees who had been fired over their vaccination status.

* * *

The problem was not people's ignorance of the facts, it was the organized antagonism and censorship against anyone presenting data that was contradictory to the mandate agenda. This is setting aside proclamations like those from the LA Times, which argued that mocking the deaths of "anti-vaxxers" might be necessary and justified. After two years of this type of arrogant nonsense it's hard to imagine people will be willing to pretend as if all is well.

The active effort to shut down any opposing data is the root crime, though, and no, it can never be forgotten or forgiven.

People are livid...

The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

Fuck every one of the assholes that “followed the science”. As far as I’m concerned, the traitors aren’t done yet or they’d be openly questioning the obvious lies. Not buying their contrition. Not one bit.

I'll go one step further. No matter what the science said, they NEVER had the right to lock us down, shame us, mandate vaccines, threaten our jobs over the vaccine, force children to take jabs, force senior care facilities to take in covid positive patients, etc.

Even if it were true that the virus was as bad as they claimed, it never gave them the right. They deserve the most severe consequences for what they did.

Julie Powell blogged about her journey of making every recipe in Julia Child's "Mastering the Art of French Cooking"

Julie Powell, a food writer known for chronicling her journey of making every recipe in Julia Child's "Mastering the Art of French Cooking," has died. She was 49.

Powell died on Oct. 26 at her home in upstate New York. Her husband, Eric, told The New York Times that the cause of death was cardiac arrest.

Powell was known for starting a blog, the Julie/Julia Project, in which she wrote about her kitchen mess-ups and wins as she cooked her way through Child's cookbook. As a blogger in 2002, she was a pioneer for the casual format that's been adopted by thousands of contemporary bloggers and social media users today.

Her blog on Salon.com was eventually turned into a book in 2005, called "Julie and Julia: 365 Days, 524 Recipes, 1 Tiny Apartment Kitchen."

The book was then adapted into the 2009 movie, Julie and Julia, which was also based on Julia Child's autobiography, "My Life in France." Directed by Nora Ephron, the film starred Meryl Streep as Child and Amy Adams as Powell.

I saw my kids' pedestrian for the first time in years. No masks.

Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa requires masks. For all I know, they required them before COVID. Everyone took them of in the examination room though; the nurse, Dr., the researcher, etc.

My preferred care dentist in Md still requires masks and has you fill out a silly Covid questionnaire every visit. In November, after about 12 years as a client, I am leaving them for a new preferred practice that is closer, cheaper, and no retarded Covid horse shit. After I have my charts/history in hand I’ll probably let them know that their policies do nothing to stop the spread of Covid.

We began homeschooling our children this year.

My wife follows all PA regulations and laws as far as paperwork and certifications and proof of education, etc.

Our local school district sent out a letter to all homeschool parents basically insinuating that the Covid vaccine is now required as part of the immunization schedule, which is complete bullshit. They are trying to bully and scam people into putting this poison into their children.

My wife is like “they can go right to hell”

Good riddance, bitch. Anyone this hateful and intolerant deserves to reap what they sow. While I would love to find out that the “vaccine” contributed to her death, we are unlikely to ever know for sure.

Julie Powell, Food Writer Who Inspired 'Julie & Julia,' Dead at 49

Celebrity chef Julie Powell, 49, author of “Julie and Julia,” after finally perfecting the recipe for material success in this life, died last Wednesday, from a sudden and unexpected heart attack.

Ironically, Ms. Powell, a rabid anti-anti-vaxxer, was celebrating unvaccinated deaths just over a year ago:

We pray Ms. Powell found peace before suddenly and unexpectedly preparing her last meal.

Slight drift but I recall reading that the REAL Julia Child who turned out to be as liberal as the day is long but never rubbed it in people's faces had expressed irritation at one point at the proud leftism and numerous f-bombs found throughout Julie Powell's blog posts and book about cooking and Julia. I think she even said something about it all being "unbecoming" and "vulgar" or something to that effect.
