Australia update:

In recent months, we have the mask mandates, border closures, and daily updates scrapped.

And here comes summer in Australia.

And, chicken little, here come the warnings.

New Omicron sublineages, COVID cases on the rise, and err mi gawd, a 'new phase' is coming.

So, the Chief Health Office in one state is warning that masks may be back, and that third booster shots maybe required.

Likely that nothing will be mandated, but somehow reads as a level of awareness, less about alarm and panic.

The great Aussie public is sure not gonna panic.

In mid-October, I got a dose of RSV - respiratory syncytial virus - while attending CyberCon in Melbourne. Lots of travellers from Aus, and SE Asia in attendance.

Lasted a week, elevated temp, coughing, sore throat, airways, lungs, etc.

But it wasn't Covid. Negative on the RAT test. And remained stuck in the lungs for another 2 weeks.

Just like the flu.

I'm gonna be in Aus longer, Thanksgiving here will be less than stellar, but there's a few of us here who make do with what we can.

Peace out.

I personally know numerous people across the age spectrum from 5 to 66 who have at least 4 jabs, who have had moderate illness multiple times. Entire families testing positive, empty nest couples who both get sick. Singles who are still isolating and barely go into public.

The more they jab the more often they catch the virus, and seemingly get more ill than the un-jabbed. There are millions on this cycle.

At some point, these people are going to start internet searching for why the jabs aren't working. They'll learn this was predicted two years ago by experienced doctors and scientists who were cancelled and mocked. The'll learn this was known now for years by those pushing the jabs onto them and their kids.

They may even realize the possibility the jabs caused the various serious health problems they've suffered. Stroke, heart problems, neurologic problems, blood clots, cancer. That's all within my circle of friends and family.

Europe and the UK are ahead of us in this realization.

Sadly, I have not found this to be the case. I know several people in the same boat, most notably my left leaning BIL. He is firmly in the “it could have been much worse without the ‘vaccine’” camp and has stuck to this foolish position despite being twice boosted and getting the wuflu twice in the last year. A significant percentage of these ignorant people will never admit that getting the snake oil is a bad idea. Likewise, when an adverse effect catches up to them as I believe will eventually, they’ll almost certainly have some other excuse cued up to defend that ignorance.

Meanwhile, our un-“vaccinated” household remains Covid free since getting it exactly one year ago despite taking ZERO precautions in public, son in school, and daughter and I working at an outdoor recreation business that brought us into direct contact with thousands of people this past summer. I laugh at the obvious fear mongering of a “triple-demic” coming at us, and the continuing headline outright lies that the newest boosters provide protection from what have become nearly benign variants… which for some reason, seem to want to leave us alone.

Supreme Court's Sotomayor Denies NYC Workers' Bid To Halt Vax Mandate

Authored by Matthew Vadum via The Epoch Times,

Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor turned away an emergency application on Nov. 10 to halt New York City’s COVID-19 vaccination mandate that applies to firefighters, police officers, and other government employees.

The appeal was from workers who were fired after the city refused their requests to be exempted on religious grounds. Many people object to the various COVID-19 vaccines for religious reasons because aborted human fetal cell lines were involved in their testing, development, or production.

The Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF), a public interest law firm specializing in religious freedom cases, argued in the application filed on Nov. 2 that it was unfair that unvaccinated adult entertainers and athletes were exempted from the mandate while other unvaccinated workers were forced into compliance, and were fired if they refused the jab.

While pandemic-era restrictions have been easing in recent months, some remain.

The Supreme Court threw out a major federal vaccination mandate in January.

The high court voted 6–3 on Jan. 13 in National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) v. Department of Labor to block the Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s private-sector vaccination regime. On the same day, the court ruled the opposite way in Biden v. Missouri, voting 5-4 to uphold a U.S. Department of Health and Human Services rule requiring more than 10 million employees at health care facilities that participate in the Medicare and Medicaid programs to be vaccinated against COVID-19.

Sotomayor decided the matter on her own, without referring the case to the full Supreme Court, which is her prerogative as a justice after receiving an emergency application. She provided no reasons for her ruling. The case is New Yorkers for Religious Liberty v. City of New York, court file 22A389.

ADF had argued in a brief supporting the application that the employees urgently needed relief because they are “suffering the loss of First Amendment rights, are facing deadlines to move out of homes in foreclosure or with past-due rents, are suffering health problems due to loss of their city health insurance and the stress of having no regular income, and resorting to food stamps and Medicaid just to keep their families afloat.”

John Bursch, senior counsel and vice president of appellate advocacy at ADF, said when the application was filed that “these city heroes have dedicated their lives to serving their neighbors and keeping their city running safely and efficiently, yet New York City officials suspended and fired them because they cannot take the COVID-19 vaccine without violating their sincere religious beliefs.

“But for athletes, entertainers, and strippers, the city found a way to loosen its mandate.”

Australia update:

... the Aus media is telling us that the "covid fourth wave" is here ...

Earlier this morning in Sydney, after a 12 day cruise around NZ, the Majestic Princess cruise ship docked with 800 positive Covid cases onboard.

All guests who tested positive - RAT tests (on a cruise ship that is somewhat amusing) - were either mildly symptomatic or asymptomatic and are isolating in their cabins.

All who tested positive are being transferred to isolation ... a Sydney hotel I subjectively infer.

Over the last week, throughout Australia, 54,661 cases of COVID-19 were reported across Australia, an average of 7,809 cases per day.

Most had tested positive with the rapid antigen tests. There were 1,553 hospitalised, 50 in ICU.

... the 4th wave.

War on Truth
Beware the enemy within

An error does not become truth by reason of multiplied propagation, nor does truth become error because nobody sees it. Truth stands, even if there be no public support. It is self-sustained.
-- Mahatma Gandhi

For those with open eyes and minds, the ethos and repression of the recent pandemic are proving increasingly absurd. Unquestionable tirades are now revealed as hypocritical lies. Data confirming that vaccines are useless and toxic also expose the damage done by lockdowns and mandates.

Yet powerful forces continue to suppress and torment those who have concerns about the professed noble intentions of pharmaceutical giants and their government pawns. The ruling class perseveres in crushing dissent while having no qualms about the ongoing delivery of dangerous vaccines to a naive and fearful population.

Propaganda permeates our lives — with the intent of manipulating our emotions — disregarding any semblance of truth. Leaders appear to have no moral compass and are quite capable of any malfeasance. A gargantuan criminal enterprise remains in control — no matter who is elected to political office.

A devious, authoritarian clique is gaining ever stronger footing. Despite the overt duplicity, the general public is increasingly persuaded to accept sacrosanct judgments and arbitrary solutions for the multiple crises of our day. Because there is no accountability, unceasing scorn and vilification are ensured for anyone who raises questions about dominant fabricated realities and catastrophic policies.

It may be well justified to assume that corrupt political figureheads are carrying out the agenda of sinister omnipotent forces. We might conclude that all threats presented to humanity by the powerful are part of a clever smokescreen to hide an array of nefarious, greedy intentions.

Sources of reliable knowledge have been repressed or undermined, and it is difficult to discern the difference between speculative explanations and viable information. The pressures of our contemporary world give rise to quick acceptance of opinions and conclusions that are emotionally derived.

Everyone is urged to take sides in facing the controversial events and questions of our day. The current plight of humanity is becoming ever more polarized and perilous. Enemies take the shape of viruses, tyrants, election thieves, conspiracy theorists, capitalists, or socialists. The relentless, divisive atmosphere seems intractable.

This fragile condition is becoming more perilous as falsehoods from every direction emerge and thrive. Without intervention and a change of course away from conflict and toward resolution, only extremism and anarchy will prevail.

A prerequisite for any effective change to take hold is recognition of the motives and means of those who disseminate untruth. From there, vigilance is required in finding a path to establish a realistic framework for disseminating the truths of our time.

John Kerry tests positive for coronavirus, complicating end of climate talks

The U.S. special envoy’s illness will derail his intense, personal brand of diplomacy as COP27 nears its uncertain conclusion.

By Michael Birnbaum
Updated November 18, 2022 at 4:33 p.m.

Former secretary of state John F. Kerry, who is currently the U.S. special envoy on climate, has covid, the State Department said Friday, complicating the final hours of negotiations at the U.N. Climate Change Conference underway in Egypt.

Kerry “is experiencing mild symptoms” and self-isolating in the Egyptian resort town of Sharm el-Sheikh, a State Department spokeswoman, Whitney Smith, said in a statement. Thousands of negotiators are still gathered there, hammering out final agreements after nearly two weeks of talks.

Kerry’s illness will derail his intense, personal brand of handshaking diplomacy, forcing him to defer the in-person conversations to others in the U.S. delegation. The negotiations at the gathering, known as COP27, have been stalled for days over questions of whether climate-vulnerable nations should receive compensation for the “loss and damages” of global warming, and, if so, who should pay.

Talks had been advancing, though, in intense hours of bargaining on Friday. It wasn’t immediately clear at what point Kerry tested positive for the coronavirus or when he had to duck out of the conversations, nor to what extent he was feeling well enough to stay up as negotiations drag late into the night. At a public appearance on Thursday, Kerry sounded hoarse at a presentation of a pledge to reduce methane emissions.

“Hello, everybody. Good afternoon. And as you can tell from my profoundly low voice today, I have a cold,” he said Thursday. “But I’ve tested [for covid], so I’m okay.”

Kerry, who as secretary of state in the Obama administration helped orchestrate the 2015 Paris climate agreement, is known for his intense travel schedule and his affinity for putting in long hours of face-to-face talks.

Kerry, 78, “is fully vaccinated and boosted,” Smith said. “He is working with his negotiations team and foreign counterparts by phone to ensure a successful outcome of COP27.”

Kerry’s deputies, Sue Biniaz and Trigg Talley, are experienced climate negotiators, and diplomats from outside the United States said that they assumed that the talks would be able to continue more or less normally, even with Kerry working remotely or partially sidelined.

But one said that his illness “doesn’t help” the end stage of the talks, noting that Kerry’s personal, long-standing relationship with China’s top negotiator, Xie Zhenhua, is difficult to substitute, and that personal contact is sometimes far more effective than remote efforts when clinching tricky negotiations. The diplomat spoke on the condition of anonymity to talk freely about the possible consequences of Kerry’s illness.

It’s obviously not ideal timing for John Kerry to have contracted covid. In these final hours, delegates are huddling together to work out compromises, and things can be fast moving,” Mohamed Adow, director of the Nairobi-based think tank Power Shift Africa, said in a text message late Friday.

This will require some careful management from the Egyptian Presidency and means countries will have to work even harder to make the most of the time left available before the summit wraps up.”

Neither of the two U.N. climate conferences held during the pandemic have released covid case numbers in real-time, but people who have attended both this year’s gathering and last year’s in Glasgow, Scotland say that they know far more people with covid this year than last, when cases were extremely rare.

For anyone that thought transferring the cost of the snake oil poison from taxpayer dollars to the private sector, think again. Now, “free” means insurers will be expected to cover the cost…which means EVERYONE’s premiums will go up, not just the people getting injected with the garbage. In other words, we are ALL on the hook to pay for people that want keep getting this shit, getting Covid while “protected” and spreading it continuously, thereby ensuring the money making cycle. Let individual people’s insurance reflect this move, not ALL OF US! Mad

https://www.statnews.com/2022/...king-indirect-costs/

Pfizer CEO says Covid vaccine will remain ‘free for all Americans,’ overlooking indirect costs

As Pfizer prepares to hike the price of its Covid-19 vaccines, the company’s CEO, Albert Bourla, maintained at a conference this week that the jabs will continue to be “free for all Americans” because insurers are required to pay the extra cost.

“Americans will see no difference,” said Bourla, speaking Wednesday at the STAT Summit. With no copay, the Pfizer vaccine, called Comirnaty, will “be free for them to get, regardless of the insurance they have.”

The U.S. government has thus far paid Pfizer $30 per shot, making the vaccines available to all Americans for free. But with government purchases ending, Pfizer has decided to implement a private-market price in the range of $110 to $130 per dose, starting in 2023.

There may be no direct financial impact to insured Americans getting the Pfizer Covid shot, but the higher cost borne by insurers will be passed on in the form of higher premiums. David Mitchell, co-founder of the advocacy group Patients for Affordable Drugs, called Bourla’s comments “pharma double talk” in a tweet.

Asked about Pfizer’s efforts to address global health inequities by making the Covid-19 vaccine available globally, Bourla expressed regret that 1 billion doses — sold at cost and shipped to low-income countries — went unused and had to be destroyed.

“Very few of these 1 billion doses were used,” said Bourla. “Another dimension of health inequities is infrastructure. African countries that were very vocal in the beginning about wanting vaccines, when they were offered the vaccines completely free, at their door, they couldn’t absorb them.”

Asked if Pfizer had a responsibility to ensure the Covid vaccine got into the arms of people living in low-income countries, Bourla said the issue was “everyone’s concern,” but he also pointed more specifically to the World Health Organization. “They had to prepare the ground in these countries, so that when vaccines became available, they could be used,” he said.

Pfizer also provided Paxlovid, its antiviral treatment for Covid, at cost to low-income countries, Bourla said. But the company took further steps, like making Covid tests available and providing other on-the-ground services, to make sure the drug was used. That “infrastructure” effort is now being expanded to encompass all Pfizer medicines, covering 1.2 billion people in low-income countries, Bourla said.

While Pfizer will continue to generate significant revenue from its Covid vaccine and Paxlovid, Bourla said the future growth will come mainly from its research pipeline, which expects 19 launches in the next 18 months, including 10 entirely new products, both drugs and vaccines.

“It’s a very exciting pipeline that will make big differences in people’s lives,” said Bourla.

Last May, Pfizer bought migraine drugmaker Biohaven Pharma for $11 billion, followed in August by a $5 billion deal for Global Blood Therapeutics and its treatments for sickle cell disease. Bourla said Pfizer is still in the buying mood, but at the right price.

Asked if biotech valuations are more appealing now given how much stocks have been punished, he said, “In general they are cheaper, but those that you want to buy, they are not,” Bourla quipped.

Over the last three years, Pfizer has allocated a majority of its capital to research, both internal and external through acquisitions, Bourla added.

“We will continue to do that because in our hands, we believe products become more valuable as we add our capabilities.”

FDA Says Telling People Not to Take Ivermectin for COVID-19 Was Just a Recommendation

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) telling people to “stop” taking ivermectin for COVID-19 was informal and just a recommendation, government lawyers argued during a recent hearing.

“The cited statements were not directives. They were not mandatory. They were recommendations. They said what parties should do. They said, for example, why you should not take ivermectin to treat COVID-19. They did not say you may not do it, you must not do it. They did not say it’s prohibited or it’s unlawful. They also did not say that doctors may not prescribe ivermectin,” Isaac Belfer, one of the lawyers, told the court during the Nov. 1 hearing in federal court in Texas.

And even after this, will one's doc give a prescription for ivermectin if asked? I doubt it.

We've read that Japan and India have embraced this medicine.
