Note to self:

I cannot drink all the wine, and then drink all the bourbon.

Ouch.

Dry January is working fine. My dehumidifier hasn’t turned on once.

These go to eleven.

That's funny. I have three humidifiers going 24/7 just to get above 40%.

"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." BTW, most women have no business wearing workout tights/yoga pants. I watched you getting extra queso and extra ranch on your burrito bowl

Today my 19-year-old son randomly gave me a hug and said “I’m glad you’re my dad”.

It’s gonna be a pretty effing good day.

Get ready for even higher prices on eggs and chicken meat. At the morning meeting yesterday, we were informed that avian influenza is going around, and that the entire state of Georgia is shut down for poultry production. This will likely affect pet food prices, as many poultry by products are used as ingredients.

I smile as I type this. $40 seems like a pretty fair price-of-admission for what appears to have been an evening of good friends and laughter.

Well yesterday I spent two hours repairing the couch in the living room. Seems that between a daughter flopping down on it and two grandsons that think it is a trampoline one of the supports broke. I really like this couch and didn’t want to replace it.

Today I fixed the pop up drain stopper in one of the bathrooms. The extra one I had was missing the actuator rod so I tried to mix and match. No bueno, so one trip to the hardware store and dealing with a nagging drip I finally got that done, total four hours.

I really hate plumbing.
