Time in to indict President Trump again. House Republicans Release Bank Records Showing Over $20 Million In Payments To Biden Family, Associates https://www.zerohedge.com/poli...ayments-biden-family Republicans on the House Oversight Committee on Wednesday revealed over $20 million in payments they claim foreign actors from places like Russia, Ukraine and Kazakhstan sent the Biden family and their associates while Joe Biden was vice president. In one instance, Kazakh oil oligarch Kenes Rakishev wired $142,000 to Hunter Biden's shell corporation to buy a new Porsche (which Hunter bought the next day), before a dinner was set up between the oligarch and Joe Biden, bank records show. And on March 25, 2014, there were two separate transfers for $2.2 million and $200,000 respectively into the Rosemont Seneca Bohai account, which Hunter and Devon Archer used to receive other personal payments such as those from Burisma. The committee says Hunter then transferred the money into another Rosemont Seneca Bohai account that he and Archer were able to access. After this, then-VP Joe Biden attended a dinner with Baturina, Hunter, Archer and others at Cafe Milano in Washington DC. And guess who was left off Biden's list of sanctioned Russian oligarchs? Baturina. More at link _________________________ "Sometimes I wonder whether the world is being run by smart people who are putting us on or by imbeciles who really mean it." Mark Twain

https://www.breitbart.com/poli...iles-for-bankruptcy/ Proterra, an electric bus company that received heavy backing from President Joe Biden’s administration, filed for bankruptcy on Monday. The Burlingame, California-based EV company has been a source of controversy for the Biden administration because Biden’s Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm hyped the company in her official capacity despite the fact that she previously served on Proterra’s board and held over a million dollars worth of stock in the company even after she was confirmed as the head of Biden’s Energy Department. In November 2021, Granholm and Vice President Kamala Harris announced 25 projects that were awarded $200 million in Department of Energy grants, which included $127 million in “SuperTruck 3” grants. Notably, roughly $76.8 million of the $127.8 million SuperTruck 3 grants announced went to a company with ties to Proterra, giving these Proterra-linked companies garnered more than 60 percent of the grants Biden also touted Proterra’s investments during a March 2022 speech. In February of this year, Biden appointed Proterra CEO Gareth Joyce to serve on his Export Council, which provides Biden with advice on international trade. Despite this massive push from the Biden administration, Proterra filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy on Monday, citing “various market and macroeconomic headwinds” that have impacted its business. Proterra shares dropped more than 60 percent in after-hours trading on Monday. The company’s failure drew a comparison to Solyndra, an alternative energy company that went bankrupt after receiving a $534 million loan guarantee under former President Barack Obama’s 2009 stimulus package. The Obama-Biden White House attempted to improperly rush federal regulators to approve the loan so Biden could announce it at a September 2009 groundbreaking for the company’s factor, Washington Post reported at the time. “President Biden’s decision to heavily promote a business where his energy secretary holds a multimillion-dollar stake has all the potential to be even worse than Solyndra,” Sen. Ted Cruz told the Washington Free Beacon in 2021. “President Biden and Secretary Granholm should immediately remove themselves from their glaring conflict of interest.” Granholm joined Proterra’s board in March 2017, aspiring to launch the company into the “next phase of strategic growth and national deployment,” according to a press release. Then, Biden nominated Granholm to lead the U.S. Department of Energy in December 2020. She was ultimately confirmed on February 25, 2021. However, Granholm continued to hold up 240,520 Proterra shares, estimated to be worth up to $5 million, for several months into her tenure as Energy Secretary while Biden promoted the company.

If Granholm has any part of it I guarantee you she is getting back channel money off of it. It is how she operated here in Michigan. When they caught her, she fired the Colonel of the State Police and replaced him with someone who would shut up and do as she was told. There is an old story about about a bank robber. When asked why he robbed banks, he said "That is where the money is". (the quote may have been invented by a reporter) The federal govt takes in over 4 TRILLION dollars each year. That is where the money is. Crooked elected officials can steal from those trillions, and tell the voters how much the country is being "helped". (as they help themselves)

Those DeomcRATs lined their pockets and laughed all the way to the bank. The poor suckers they backed ended up holding the empty back of wrecked dreams. Granholm is a master of this, we saw it for years here in Michigan. She learned very well from how the Clinton's ran Arkansas. Confidence Crisis Emerges As Biden's EPA Pushes "Unproven Technologies" To Decarbonize Grid, Power Sector Warns https://www.zerohedge.com/poli...carbonize-grid-power The top lobbying group for US power plants penned a lengthy letter to President Biden's Environmental Protection Agency, arguing that the administration's aggressive plan to curb greenhouse gas emissions from natural gas-fired plants is "unworkable" because it relies on "unproven technologies." Edison Electric Institute (EEI), whose members include Consolidated Edison Inc., Dominion Energy Inc., FirstEnergy Corp., and Southern Company, said the EPA's "rulemaking record simultaneously downplays the various infrastructure challenges to deploying" carbon-capture systems (CCS) and hydrogen, "while overplaying the current state of deployment and demonstration of each technology." EEI continued, "Given these realities, neither CCS nor hydrogen blending are adequately demonstrated today as they are not deployable, available, or affordable across the entirety of the industry, and the attendant supporting infrastructure will take more time than EPA predicts to deploy. This assessment factors in the timelines that EPA proposes for standards that may not be applicable until several years in the future. Accordingly, unit owners and operators have significant concerns about the achievability of the proposed standards." EEI's members power the homes of nearly 250 million Americans and operate in all 50 states and the District of Columbia. The power industry supports seven million jobs nationwide, and EEI's members invest $140 billion annually into improving the grid. "As we outline in these comments, electric companies are not confident that the new technologies EPA has designated to serve as the basis for proposed standards for new and existing fossil-based generation will satisfy performance and cost requirements on the timelines that EPA projects," the letter pointed out. The lobbying group warned: "This will impact electric companies' efforts to deliver affordable and reliable electricity to customers." EEI's warning comes as the Biden administration wants to achieve a net-zero emissions power grid by 2035. Climate alarmists in the White House allege decarbonization efforts will combat global climate change. The race to decarbonize the power sector has already left the nation's largest grid, PJM Interconnection, with increasing reliability risks. Meanwhile, the EPA's new vehicle emissions standards under the Clean Air Act have also come into question: "You just don't even know if it's gonna save carbon emissions, which is the point of the whole exercise," said Rupert Darwall, Senior Fellow at the RealClear Foundation. Why would Biden's EPA introduce power sector requirements that EEI labels as "unproven technologies"? It raises genuine concerns about the Biden administration's intentions regarding the stability of the power grid. But don't worry because if you dare question this, you are labeled a 'climate denier.' _________________________ "Sometimes I wonder whether the world is being run by smart people who are putting us on or by imbeciles who really mean it." In case you wondered, she was born in Canada, and yes, much like you thought. Jennifer Mulhern Granholm (born February 5, 1959) is a Canadian-American lawyer, educator, author, political commentator, and politician. Since 2021, she has served as the 16th United States secretary of energy. A member of the Democratic Party, she previously served as the 47th governor of Michigan from 2003 to 2011, and as the 51st attorney general of Michigan from 1999 to 2003, as the first woman to hold both offices. Born in Vancouver, British Columbia, Granholm moved to California at age four. She obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California, Berkeley in 1984 and a Juris Doctor degree from Harvard Law School in 1987. https://dailycaller.com/2023/0...er-plants-blackouts/ related to wcb's post 2 above Proposed Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) rules regulating carbon dioxide emissions for power plants would lead to blackouts in a large slice of the Midwest and impose costs of nearly $250 billion, according to new analysis by the Center of the American Experiment (CAE). The EPA’s proposed regulations would require fossil fuel-fired power plants to adopt developing technologies, such as carbon capture and sequestration (CCS) and hydrogen blending, in order to significantly bring down their greenhouse gas emissions over the coming decades. CAE filed comments this week in response to the EPA’s proposals, highlighting in its analysis that the EPA has overestimated the efficacy of wind and solar while exposing the 45 million people living in the area served by the Midcontinent Independent System Operator (MISO) power grid to elevated blackout risks. The EPA “does not appear to have the expertise necessary to enact such a sweeping regulation on the American power sector,” CAE wrote in its comments. CAE’s analysis found that the EPA’s modeled MISO grid could result in massive blackouts across the 15 states it serves, with one stress test scenario estimating that nearly one in five MISO-served households would be without power. Additionally, CAE calculated that building up enough capacity to avoid its projected blackouts in the MISO region would cost $246 billion in total by 2055. “For EPA’s RIA on the proposed rules, EPA assumes 99 percent of the emissions reductions resulting from changes to the electric grid are driven by the subsidies in the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA), which is called its ‘Post-IRA’ Base Case and only 1 percent is from the proposed rules,” Orr continued. “But EPA never studies whether its base case, which accounts for 99 percent of the changes, maintains enough reliable power plants on the grid to meet electricity demand, as they only looked at that last 1 percent,” Orr said, adding that “this is the regulatory equivalent of studying the structural integrity of the top floor of a 100-story building without doing so for the preceding 99 floors.” The evil idiots of the biden administration are trying to put us on a path that will lead to massive U.S. power shortages.

All part of the plan. These leftist assholes want to divide and isolate people that don’t have large financial resources. He asked to be appointed and since he was cheif in negotiating the snowball plea deal, there is little reason to think he's not going to do the same. This was done to keep the House from continuing their investigation and I wonder how long Weiss will take? So long that any statute of limitations will expire? But on the other hand, perhaps this turns into a greater campaign issue aka another example of the two-tiered justice system to protect Hunter and Joe. And maybe Weiss was so embarrassed by the cupcake plea deal that he's going to be much tougher. Don't forget that today was the return date for Hunter's team to try and salvage a tax charge plea deal and it was just announced there is no deal and the case is likely headed to trial. Why not appoint Durham?

There are two types of investigations: Those that are serious, and those that are designed to run out the clock. Weiss will attempt to run out the clock. Initially, I had high hopes for AG Bill Barr and for his appointment of Durham. Unfortunately, that investigation was also designed to run out the clock. "Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible." -- Justice Janice Rogers Brown "The United States government is the largest criminal enterprise on earth." -rduckwor
