Thank you for the update, BBH. I was wondering. Had hoped to hear better news than this, but, with your absence, feared to hear worse.

Will keep you two in my thoughts and prayers.

At a loss for words. Sorry, everything I think or to say just rings hollow. I hope you and yours are able to find some peace.

UPDATE on my wife Terri...I'm finally staying a night at a hotel across from Cleveland Clinic Hospital so I can use their wifi to post here

This afternoon in a three hour long procedure a team of doctors using recently invented and improved medical clot vacuuming doo-hicky to remove an approx 7 centimeter by 3 1/2 centimeter blood clot from her heart...it sucks in the clot, traps it in a filter outside the body, separates clot from bold and the blood is returned...I watched the CD of parts of the procedure and I was amazed to say the least...

The clot took up a large volume of the right side of her heart and would be sucked/washed in and back out of the valve during the pumping...her resting heart rate was 125-155 BPM...it was pumping as as it could but not getting much done

She is still not out of the woods by any means...her BP has dropped (bottomed out would be more correct) but thru meds it is back up somewhere near normal...

There is some bleeding in a couple areas around the heart (she has been on Heparin since last Friday) that is a cause of concern...

If she can get thru 3-4 days in ICU, she might be put back on the floor and if strong enough the will attack the clots trapped in her lungs with drugs in an attempt to dissolve them...

The care here has been great...I get asked a lot "where are you from" from my southern accent Big Grin...but everyone I have met up here has been very nice, even strangers on the street when I've asked directions...they look a little surprised when I tell them that other Cleveland, about 600 miles south down in Tennessee...several of my wife's nurses are IDPA shooters and seemed fascinated when I told them about Cowboy Action Shooting Razz...

Please keep on keeping us in your thoughts and prayers...God has blessed us so far and my prayers are that if it's His Will, it will continue until Terri is back to normal and we can go back to our home again...

Thank you all Smile
