Feelings and emotions aside, I'm going back to my economics rant from several pages ago. These jerks don't seem to give two turds about the economic effect of the laws they're attempting to force on us.

Close up the private ranges? --> Jobs lost, [tax] revenue lost.

Turn decent working citizens into felons? Jobs lost, revenue lost. Further: businesses close (because there's no one to hire, because King Ralph has made felons of half the population). Oh, look at that! More lost revenue! Bonus: now those people who used to bring revenue INTO the system are a COST to the system, thanks to the Commiewealth now having to provide them three hots and a cot.

Gun shops close? Lost jobs, lost [tax] revenue, and probably a loss of good suppliers to the law enforcement organizations.

These jerks are actively trying to destroy the state, just as they are [on a larger scale] out to destroy the United States.

Echoing stickman, I'll say Mad .

God bless America.

This range Bill seems to be directly targeting the nra range.

I can't think of any other ranges with over 50 employees

Perhaps Elite Shooting Sports in Manassas has more than 50 employees (I don't know). I can't seem to imagine how indoor shooting ranges have been implicated in mass shootings...

This is OFF THE DEEPEND tyranny.

I've never heard of Dan Helmer until I read this. This guy is certifiable. An unbelievable disgrace to his oath to protect and uphold the constitution. And I see he has zipper burns on his chin from Bloomberg's trousers. I looked at the cumqwat's Twitter page and other than his insufferable rants about guns, pretty much all he does is lament the death of Qassem Soleimani. The manis not simply un-American, he is anti-American.

Has any other state in the country banned indoor ranges? If so, did they at least say why?

vthoky, I think they're calculating at a much higher level than you're giving them credit for.

This indoor range business, among other things, is a really interesting move in terms of increasing tension and hostility going into the rally on the 20th. A rally where they're estimating 10,000+ armed people. Gee, I wonder who they'll blame if things get out of control at the rally?

Pessimist, I think that Gov. Blackface and the rest of the Dems are trying to force President Trump into some sort of action that they'll undoubtedly cry foul over. Don't know exactly what, but I really can't see any other reason they'd be pushing SO hard. We are in for one hell of a showdown that's for sure.

I can almost guarantee that if things get out of control, it's not going to be a gun owner. Carrying comes with responsibility, and no gun owner wants to risk a charge that will prevent them from legally owning guns. The gun community, CHP (CCW) holders in particular, are the most law abiding people on the planet, they know what's at risk. I'm not engaging a single protester, I won't even acknowledge them, maybe a chuckle or smile.

Elite has 51 employees shown on their About Us page. I could be mistaken, but I think Helmer was the candidate that got over $600K in support from Bloomberg, lots and lots of TV ads.

Helmer is targeting CWPs as well. HB 569 appears to put the attorney general as the call maker as to who gets reciprocity and removes the requirement for outside states to accept Va permits to obtain reciprocity. So it looks to do nothing for Virginians and will certainly reduce the number of states that Virginia will honor. This guy ran as a West Point grad and combat veteran, was this guy in Rapones class? WTF!

A Veteran, whether active duty, retired, national guard, or reserve, is someone who, at one point in his or her life, wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America" for an amount of "up to and including my life."

Virginian's woke up a few years ago to a Herring surprise. He unilaterally ruled that reciprocity with many states Virginia recognized would no longer be honored. Such a stink was raised that the decision was reversed.

You would have thought Herring would have been toast in Virginia politics. He got reelected as Attorney General in the next election.

Great news. I knew that it would never be close to unanimous, but a win is a win.
