Perhaps Elite Shooting Sports in Manassas has more than 50 employees (I don't know). I can't seem to imagine how indoor shooting ranges have been implicated in mass shootings...

This is OFF THE DEEPEND tyranny.

Elite has 51 employees shown on their About Us page. I could be mistaken, but I think Helmer was the candidate that got over $600K in support from Bloomberg, lots and lots of TV ads.

They could be hiring a lot more too, I was told they have plans to double their space with the second floor.

You mentioned the impact their decision would have on the local economy. I don't think that's a consideration for them. Especially since we know that democrats couldn't care less about the health of the national economy. In fact, I think it's been demonstrated pretty clearly that they'll sabotage the economy in an effort to push forth their overall agenda.

These traitors in Virginia are just puppets doing the bidding of people much higher in the food chain like Bloomberg.

Liberal socialist politicians don't give a shit about the economy until they run out of other people's money to pay for all their free shit they hand out to buy votes to keep them in office.

Virginia needs to flip HARD back to Red. If it's true 25% of the positions ran without a GOP candidate, that needs to never happen again. Getting out to vote needs to be a dire, dire act that NO ONE (who is conservative) should ever miss again. If Virginia of all places cannot drive the democrats into irrelevance, than our country is going to be soon lost...this isn't Kalifornia.

There are currently a couple hundred people in the OVERFLOW room for the Prince Williams County board meeting. It's snowing outside and it's 2:30 pm on a business day.

The bos already voted but that was with the old board members. The new board members stated that they would vote to undo what the previous board passed. They set that vote for 7pm today....and then changed it to 2pm in the hopes that the pro 2A crowd wouldn't show.

Fuck them. The 2A crowd showed anyways. Do your stupid shit in full view cowards.

Kudos to the GOA and VCDL! They are staying on top of every anti-2A action proposed and are notifying members and everyone on their mailing lists.

Define oppressive government - doing what they want without the consent of the people, and in the face of strong opposition, doing it anyway.

The consent of the people thing comes in the form of elections, which they won. This is the root of the problem. The people of the state of Virginia elected a slate of representatives that are anti-gun, that were known to be anti-gun before they were elected, and are now implementing their anti-gun policies. This isn't going to get undone until/unless these politicians are replaced.

I have to stop, and I will stop, worrying about it. Virginia got what it deserves. Bloomberg did not buy this election. It was given as a gift by those too self-absorbed or too lazy to vote.

Virginians knew what was at stake. We have a governor that actually advocated for the killing of children born alive. We have a Lt. Governor who is credibly accused of sexual assault by not just one woman, but several. We have an Attorney General who refused to defend Virginia laws despite a constitutional duty and a statutory duty to do so. We have members of the State House that ran for their seat (and won that seat) from prison for raping an underaged girl and getting her pregnant. We have members of the state house and senate advocating for mentally ill boys being able to dress like girls and forcing young girls to shower with them. We have members of the state house and senate who want to decriminalize drugs, not prosecute serious crimes, and give driver's licenses to illegal aliens. It goes on and on and on. Virginians knew this, and half of them that are registered to vote did nothing.

So now we have a state government where members of a certain party of that government are in competition to do the most damage to the Constitution, Virginia families, Virginia businesses, and common decency. They're literally orgasmic at the prospect of practicing their evil.

Most of all, and to me far more important than the issue of guns: we have a particular party whose members have severed any control their conscious had over them. These people think it's okay to kill unwanted children. The biggest evil in my sight that can be advocated by a government. And we let them have their way. We knew they were murderous barbarians and half of Virginia voters did nothing.

We will now have to ride out the wave after wave of lethal violence that will, as never before, be perpetrated against unwanted children. And we'll have to come to terms with the fact that we will have to defy "laws" to keep our rights.

No Virginia, there is no Santa Claus other than you. And you gave the biggest gift possible to soulless, heartless, evil people. And you knew you were doing it when you did it.

To add to what @Micropterus so eloquently wrote, I predict that if the gun-grabbing laws and policies (and enforcment) actually go into effect, despite the obvious lawsuits that will ensue, crimes involving guns will go up in the state, and economic prosperity will decline.

It's always that way in blue states, so I think I'm safe in my prediction.

You want to give up, then give up and become part of the problem.

Those of us who did what we could, campaigned, voted and held on to the republican seats, I am not giving up. This is a fucking battle. I took an oath that does not expire, I will fight all enemies foreign and domestic. I will not give up constitutional or god given rights without a fight.

Show of hands everybody. I want everyone reading this thread in Virginia who did NOT vote to speak up. I'm guessing I'm not going to see many chime in.

I'd put the blame where it belongs, GOPVA, and unopposed races.

I’ll add how many actually get involved in local and state politics.

Get involved, be part of the solution rather than bitch about the outcome.

can we stop whining and start fighting?

2020 is going to be the nastiest elections we have ever seen. Start now. Build your network of committed voters. Find some key themes that are vital to you. Keep hammering what is at stake.

Anyone who gives you the DEM line of BS, have your 30 sec speech ready and nail them. There is no negotiating, no compromise. We need to take the DEMs down.

Our first shot is 10 months away. Start your campaign now , don't wait. Keep a list of people you know will vote. Think of others who might not. Talk to them. Friends, family, coworkers, church members

Everyone of us should have a growing list of people who will vote in Nov. Ask if your friends all want to vote together. Drive them to the polls if you have to. (people are more comfortable in groups)

Anybody who tells it is too late, VA is blue,, have your little speech ready. Shame them if they don't vote.

It is time to be more aggressive than you ever have in an election year. Show some passion and intensity.

I am practicing what I am preaching. It feels good.

adding I just saw skins post on the previous page. His point is vital. I contacted and talked to my local REP Party chair. I won't name names but it was the most laid back casual attitude I ever saw. No wonder we are in trouble.

Contact the REP party in your area and tell them we are tired of a lazy defeated leaderless Republican party.

You don't have to do everything, but do something.
