I don't use a mashed garlic clove... just rub with a whole one. Plenty of flavor is imparted without so much as to overwhelm the dish.

I went and visited my mom today and made this for her and I using the poach pods and she loved it. Came out great. I liked the slightly melted provolone. Her neighbor has chickens so the eggs were yesterday fresh.

FANTASTIC! I love it when a plan comes together. Glad my 1+5 minute method worked for you. Big Grin

Yeah I am glad I followed your 1+5 method as the pod instructions just said 3-5 minutes. At 3 minutes the eggs would have been basically raw, but mine was perfect with your method. My mom likes them a little less runny so I cooked her egg 1 minute more. I did crush my clove of garlic with a spoon and then rubbed it on the toast and it gave perfect flavor without being too much. I then put the guacamole on the toast and provolone on top and put it on broil to just melt cheese on top without burning the brioche. Thanks for this recipe; I love it. I gave my mom the other poach pod so she would have one.

Okay, so tonight my wife is out of town so I experimented and it came out good. I have Ramen noodles I bought as food backup just in case.

I cooked the package of Ramen noodles and then added a scrambled egg like you would for egg drop soup. I then added some chopped up chicken from last night’s dinner, and added some frozen mixed vegetables. I added a little bit of Sriracha sauce and Hoisin sauce. Came it really good!

Tonight was a simple shredded chicken, onions, and peppers open sandwich.

Have a nice Boston Butt that will go into my vintage 1990's classic Dazey stoneware slow cooker for tomorrow eatin'.
Been a reliable appliance for all those decades! Big Grin

And yes it is only a 4qt unit although it has a 6qt deep frying capability. Love the variable temperature control with a max of 400°. Works with most roasts up to 4 lbs. I use a 5.5qt Dutch oven for larger tasks. Add a 5.8qt air fryer and a 12 cup rice cooker and I'm good to go.
No need for a pressure cooker or an oval 6 or 8qt slow cooker. Big Grin

Way too done for me, I know for most that might be the norm, but for me that looks like jerky!

100% not an insult, I just gotta have mine purple.

I will see if I can find the manual for mine but it looks like I have that exact same unit. I thought it was and have only ever used it for deep frying things like fish or shrimp. I always used an oval slow cooker for some things. I do have to say that I LOVE my Insta Pot as it can do almost anything.

Do you have the stoneware insert needed for slow cooking?
I can send you a pdf copy of the manual if you'd like. I've never used mine for deep frying, only slow cooking. Smile

Yeah send me a copy please. Email in profile. Mine is identical from the basket, to the unit, and to the temperature control plug. I thought it was a fryer only…..lol.

I make this exact thing every time I have leftover pork chops. Tastes great, gets rid of leftovers, and is cheap.

4 pounds of flank steak, marinating in Carne Asada sauce for tacos Al Carbone.

A mix of lime juice, orange and pineapple juices, fish sauce, soy sauce, along with lots of fresh peppers, cilantro, onions and garlic. Salt, sugar, spices and pepper.

Grill shots later this afternoon. Smile
